We left less than an hour after checking in and cancelled the stay. We were disappointed the moment we arrived, the pictures in the listing were very misleading to the size of the home. My family came to town for the holidays and the whole reason for renting a place for the visit was to stay somewhere bigger than my house with enough bedrooms for everyone, the pictures made it seem as though the house and stuff inside was much bigger than reality which is the reason for my low accuracy of online listing. We were excited for the game room that appeared to be within the house in the photos but was actually a separate building in the backyard attached to a garage, which would not allow us to let the children play in there unattended. The living room seating was not sufficient for all of us, the couch was much smaller than the picture made it appear and it was far from comfortable. It is not an ideal stay for 5 adults if you plan on spending more time in the house than just utilizing it as a place to sleep, let alone 5 adults and 2 children which is my reasoning for a low family friendly rating. Overall the house was clean and well kept, the host was great with communication, but that is all I can speak to. We felt duped by what was portrayed in the listing, ultimately wasted were not entitled to get back. I understand that we cancelled the trip after arrival but feel as though at a minimum a partial refund is a reasonable ask as all we did was enter the home and then leave.

We chose the property initially because it was pet friendly and had multiple rooms. The doggie door to the backyard was convenient and the house was clean and everything was as listed in the advertisement. It was located around the corner from various restaurants and grocery stores for any of your needs and very convenient to the beach. It was about a seven minute drive to get to the beach from this location. I would definitely recommend it. It does come with one television in the living room, and one in one of the four bedrooms. The Wi-Fi was easy to log on in function well.

It needs a deep clean

We arrived to the home about 5pm. They never sent the code to the door so I had to message someone to get the code. He asked me was I sure I never received it. Then he said, I would receive it 2 hours prior to check in at 4, well it was 5pm. When we got inside, the house smelled old and moldy. The sofa was disgusting with stains all over it. We immediately left to go to Walmart for candles and cleaning supplies. On the way, I messaged the host to inform them what was going on. They offered to send someone out the next day to clean the sofa. Well that took 2 days to dry and we had no where to enjoy the space as a family. At this point, we also did not have the code to the play room. We cleaned the house and covered the sofa with sheets. This did nothing for the smell coming from the sofa. The bathroom showers were not clean, it was black “stuff” in the corners of the shower. Then we had an uninvited guest with a very large field roach. In one of the closets, I guess the cleaning crew was not in the mood to fold sheets and they were stuffed in the closet as if they were just taken off the bed. This home has potential but needs a very good deep cleaning and a new sofa.
