The two bedroom is home situated near the end of a cul-de-sac. There is a very nice screened in area with a table and chairs, making the room comfortable for sheltered outdoor dining. The screened in area opens on to an open deck with a rather large well-kept pool.
Despite the oppressive Florida heat and humidity, the house was cool and comfortable.
Walking in the evenings, the neighborhood was very quiet and safe.
The old downtown (i.e., boutique) part of Venice is about a seven minute drive. We enjoyed the Saturday morning farmer’s market, which, in the off-season, was modest and uncrowded. We bought some wonderful fresh challa, and even some gluten free bread.
We did delivery pizza dinner from Made in Italy. All very good, but family members were especially pleased with the gluten free crust pizza.
Also scope out the oil and vinegar place.
Given the opportunity, we will be back.
