Enjoyed the place and staff was friendly! Scenery is fantastic and El Pueblo de Rodalquilar is nearby. Good place to relax ...good walks from Hotel! Can only recommend it! SAN Jose is also a nice little place by the Med and is well with a visit. Spring is wonderful with all the flowers in full bloom... hope this helps!
Visited this hotel in March as part of group on a walking holiday. The hotel is small and you get the personal touch, friendly helpful staff who go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one and they know who you are. The room was comfortable, clean, with a firm bed and plenty of hot water. Stayed half board and the food was good and varied. The little hotel and village are set in a lovely unspoiled valley, great place to go if you want to escape the crowds
We stared at the Naturaleza having hired a car and driven from Almeria airport. A relatively short drive of around 40 minutes. The first stretch takes you past a large area of plastic greenhouses for growing fruit and veg. Once you get into the Cabo de Gata park these disappear and the scenery is wonderful. The hotel is set in a fairly wide alley which affords fantastic views as you approach it and from the hotel itself. It is set some half a mile form the village of Rodalquilar and we walked in to try the tavernas and to by snacks. The hotel itself is simply beautiful The layout reminded me of a fort set in some Arabian desert. There is a good area to lounge around the pool with good views over the surrounding wall to the hills. The dining room is spacious and the food selection [buffet style or a la carte] was great. We ate their most nights. Staff were really friendly and helpful and there are trinkets to but in the foyer, art works to look at in the foyer and in the large gallery, social function area below the hotel, plenty of seats to sit in and read and a generally relaxed and conducive atmosphere. The room was also interesting in that each one is themed in a different way, with art work. Plenty of space in the room, comfortable bed and nice clean modern bathroom. Only downside was it got a little chilly some nights, but I am sure the staff can provide an extra blanket if asked. the closest beach is a mile or so a way. Walk-able and with an interesting fort to visit. When we were there we drove up to Tabernas and the desert to have a look around and to visit the old film sets where Clint Eastwood made the famous spaghetti westerns. Really interesting and like being in the Old west. The best of these locations also has a zoo, which we didn't visit. Unless you want to spend all your time by the pool or wandering the local area then you will definitely need a car. Overall we fully recommend it. Lovely place.
A very good and tranquil hotel, with a very good restaurant, close to the excellent El Playazo beach. The only drawback, depending on the direction of the wind, is the stench coming from a nearby cattle farm, but the stench doesn't penetrates into the hotel.
There is a lovely swimming pool, helpful staff. Unlike most tourists, we did not have a car, so we walked the 2 km to Playazo Rodalquilar, a beautiful beach with a fort built by Carlos III. None of the beaches have toilet facilities or trash pickup, so plan ahead. One must drink bottled water throughout this part of Spain. Take your meals at the restaurant in the hotel. The town of Rodalquilar used to be a gold mining town, but it has follen on hard times.
Fantastic, comfortable and well designed hotel. The staff were all fantastic, helpful and responsive. The pool was lovely and never overcrowded, and despite there being kids staying (extremely well behaved) and plenty of people, it has to rate as one of the quietest and most undisturbed hotels we have ever stayed in. The only downside is the lack of things to do in the area except if you like water sports, there is opportunity for those a 15 min drive away and a really nice beach only 5 mins drive away. Fantastic breakfast - the best we have been offered and I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel especially to couples who want a short break away in peace and tranquility!
Great place if you are going to the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. Quiet, clean and very practical. Has a nice little spa as well and the masseur is very kind and very professional. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend it. Great outdoor pool area. Has a restaurant inside the complex as well which is affordable and had good quality.
Stayed for five nights in March 2016. Rooms are clean and comfortable. No English language channels on TV. Lovely views from my bedroom. There's a farm next door and it was great to watch from my bathroom window as the farmer and his dog took the goats and sheep up the mountain in the morning and back down again in the evening. Food was good. Shame swimming pool wasn't filled or heated. It was too cold to sit outside for a drink and there's no bar or (obvious) lounge. On checking out we learnt there was a small lounge behind reception. Staff were really nice. Hotel is a bit remote but the nearest village is only 15 minutes walk. In March a lot of the restaurants were closed but Christos' bar/restaurant was good and his Harley is splendid - it has pride of place in the restaurant. Nice walks nearby in the hills and along the coast a short drive away. Rugged scenery was majestic; also beautiful skies and sunsets. I found bendy mountain roads a bit scary.
Beautiful hotel and my room was simple but very clean. The TV had only 1 option as movie and not good option. The door on front of my room was very noise, I cannot understand why nobody fix that door, put some WD in the hanger... this door woke me up few time. The girls on reception were nice and educated, but there were 2 problems that made me feel bad. -1 when I arrived, they put me in some very nice promotion with SPA included. After few hours they knock my door to tell me that it was mistake, it was for another client, they confused the names. (This made me fell a not interesting client for then. They removed my 1hour SPA visit and change all my program for the day. They could at least let me see the SPA for free, since they made the mistake) - I booked a massage for 6pm and they didnt find available masseur but nobody told me and when I went to see the spa, it was closed. I went to reception, and they try to book for the other day, that I didnt want anymore. I left the Hotel and didnt go the SPA. Kind of I was little bit upset. I think they could change all this situation with more attention for the client
This Hotel was a last minute "call in" on the chance they may have a room for 2 adults and a dog. They were brilliant, could not have been more accommodating with a friendly & welcoming smile we were given a lovely room with fridge, TV, en suite bath/shower, separate remote controlled air Conditioning unit & instructions on how to use the Internet password. I would loved to have stayed longer to use the Gym/Spa Wellness Centre & Pool but that can come next time we visit... We only had Breakfast at the Hotel the 2 days we were there but what a choice - Juices/Cereals/Bacon/Eggs/Toast & a huge selection of meats/cheeses & pastries. Wide open space on opposite side of the road to walk the dog without fear of "spoiling" the gardens of the hotel. Can't wait to go back !
