Just back from a week in Nice staying at the Splendid hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel for location, facilities and helpful staff. The rooftop pool is lovely and although small we always found somewhere to sit. It was our anniversary and we were upgraded to a deluxe room which had a sun terrace with sun beds and a table and chairs. Staff were always friendly and more than helpful. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and was usually busy enough. Will definitely be back!!

We always stay here when in Nice, we like a high floor for views. Rooms are very comfortable and very clean, our bathroom was excellent with a lovely walk in shower and his and her sinks. The restaurant is on the top floor with fantastic views over the city. There is a buffet style breakfast with selection of cooked food and cereals, pastries, breads etc, I would definitely recommend. This hotel even has a Spa that offers a range of treatments, with Decleor products.

Never been to Nice before so carefully checked previous reviews and position of hotel. Booked through tour operator and requested recommended room with them and direct with hotel. Hotel couldn't guarantee but would do their best. Imagine my delight when we were allocated the room in question ( 516) de luxe room with huge terrace/ balcony and a bathroom to get lost in! That was just the start of our experience at the Splendid. Wonderful staff, great breakfasts and a four day break to remember. Next visit we will book direct and will definitely recommend to anyone asking for a wonderful hotel, five minute walk to Promenade des Anglais and ten minutes from Place Massena and short walk to Old Town of Nice. Sum it up FABULOUS!

The room is very small , the bathroom is bad with shower in the tub , air dryer very old and no soap . Only liquid soap . The location is not so bad indeed and the staff is kind. It is not very noise and the breakfast is good .

The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Nice location in walking distance of the promenade, old town, train station, restaurants and shops. The rooftop bar and pool area is excellent with beautiful 360 degree views around Nice. There are shower facilities available downstairs which was great as we weren't flying until late having checked out at 12. Really enjoyed our trip and would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was undergoing construction work and was noisy and dirty. Due to construction work on the floor above the one I was staying cement was all over my room floor on the second day. The clerk at the main desk did not want to refund the deposit I had made upon arrival, as she could not find proof it had existed. Huge drama. Turned out, she hadn't looked in the right place...

We were planned to arrive in Nice from a cruise at 9am with a flight departure of 7.30pm so had to think carefully about how we could make the best of the day and I decided to research day rooms. This one came top of the list and we were not disappointed, the rooms are due to be available from 10am and we did arrive early (about 9.30am) one of the rooms was ready and we had to wait until 10.30am so that did curtail our plans a bit. Both rooms were more than adequate and we loved the roof top pool, there is also a small breakfast room and bar. We didn't use the spa but that could be a good option if you you didn't want to explore the area which we did as it was our first time in Nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful, great place for a day stay and would be fine for longer. The location was good - very near the sea front.

We stayed last weekend for three nights. I booked this trip through Easyjet City Breaks and it's the first time I have used them. I upgraded the stay to include breakfast and I am so glad I did. The breakfasts are great with everything from cereal and fruit to eggs, bacon and sausages the choice was good and the food plentiful, it really did set us up for a day of walking and exploring. The Hotel was in an excellent location for exploring Nice and we also got the train to Monaco one day which was easy to do. The room was on the small side but were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We also used the rooftop terrace a couple of times and had drinks before we headed out for dinner. I must also mention the staff at this hotel, they were fabulous from the welcome we had a reception and the help they also gave us in finding the train station and train to Monaco to the friendliness of all bar and restaurant staff, the chamber maid was also quick to help us one morning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and hope that we will also be back ourselves one day.

We have just returned from our 4th visit to this hotel. We booked directly through the hotel on this occasion to take advantage of the breakfast deal on offer. We booked a deluxe room so as to get a balcony and chairs and were not disappointed. All the staff from reception to the restaurant/bar were extremely obliging and helpful, as they have been on previous occasions. Our room was kept spotless throughout. Hotel Wi-Fi was excellent. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Nice, the main attractions being a short walk away. The bonus with this hotel is the rooftop swimming pool and bar which is ideal for relaxing when not out and about. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning soon.

Stayed for 3 nights with my sister. For 60e extra we had the room to 6pm departure day. It was great because we had late flight and were able to enjoy the pool and sunny day. Room was recently renowated and tidy. But we did not know how to open window blinds so only two windows were open. Staff is friendly and most speak english. Many retaurants nearby hotel. Hotel is conveniantly located in between the beach and trainstation. Breakfast was ok (19e extra). I do not recommend eating outside on the terrace since big seagulls, excellent views from inside restaurant. Rooftop pool was icy and the hottub too warm. Still the terrace was awesome (3 levels!!) with amazing views. I would book this hotel again.
