My wife and I stayed in a deluxe room on the 4th floor for a week on a B&B basis. The hotel is located approx. 10min walk from the seafront and lots of restaurants close by. The room that we had had a large balcony which was great for sunbathing. The room was large with a bathroom with spa bath and separate corner shower. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very nice. The restaurant for breakfast was on the rooftop with fantastic views of the city. The breakfast had a good choice and tasty. Also on the rooftop were lovely seating areas and a small swimming pool. The drinks at the hotel were expensive but that is the same throughout Nice. Our room faced onto Rue Gounod which was quite noisy through the night with passing traffic, bin lorries emptying bins and workmen digging up the road at 7am. This was not the fault of the hotel, however, a bit annoying after a few nights. All in all we really enjoyed the hotel and would recommend it if you fancy a trip to Nice.

Brilliant hotel! Great location, friendly bi lingual staff, very clean and tidy, lovely big comfy beds, really good breakfast with lots to choose from while eaten on the warm roof terrace, which also has a pool with awesome views. Super value for money.

The beds were comfy, the breakfast was adequate and more wallet friendly than any place in the city, and the WiFi was fast in the rooms. We had a dolux suite , and found our room very larg specialy as the hotel was in the middle of the city in France. It is by both the coast, the train station and shoping alley. Only problem would be the swimming pool: we didn’t really get to use it because they never cleaned it during our trip in the autumn. Great stay for a big city and lots of exploration outside.

I took my wife back to Nice for our 28th wedding anniversary and loved the place all over again. We stayed in the Hotel Splendid which is a 4 star hotel, the room didn't let us down however the restaurant menu was not as good as 3 years previous. The rooftop lounge, swimming pool and jacuzzi was a great place to retreat to for the last day, the whole 7 day stay was great we were both really relaxed and once again had a lovely time, would highly recommend the hotel, just make sure you request a refurbished room, they really are worth it. If staying for any length of time you need to visit the old town, they have a different market each day of the week and the place has many little side streets with shops and churches to visit. We would always walk the length of the Rue de la Liberte where there is a great number of places to eat and shop until late, we found one particular restaurant that we frequented often that served a great varied menu, I don't like lasagna but ate a whole one at "Le Lodge" the owners were really nice along with the people that worked there, all very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Unlike another restaurant we tried, "Le Milo's", the food came out cold, tasteless and the waiters were very inhospitable and unfriendly, would not recommend at all. If you have time we would recommend taking the hop on, hop off open top bus tour, at €22 each it is well worth it, although we would suggest spending an extra €3 each which allows you to use the bus over two days. The whole trip has 16 stops where you can get off have a good look around and hop back on the next bus that comes around at any of the stops, you are given new in ear headphones where you plug in and listen to the guided information, the length of time you spend on the bus is entirely up to you, a great trip out.

Amazing rooms and service! We stayed there for our offsite last week. They accommodate our early check-in, and were keeping our bags after check-out since our flight was later in the afternoon. Rooms were great, having both bathtub and shower, and good view. Also, hotel is close to train station (10 min walk), city center (10 min walk) and sea (5 min walk). We even got complimentary drinks in mini-bar. Definitively would recommend!

Great location and a great roof terrace. But the service could have been more effective and with a little smile. The service was to slow and eager to sell. The location is top, away from the most busy streets and the esplanade with to much noise. It had walking distance to everything, the old city, the esplanade, the main shopping street and to the railway station - just perfect!

The hotel is pretty good, the location is perfect. I stay in a very nice room with Sea overview. I had private balcony. The roof top is good with swimming pool and bar, perfect for work in a zen atmosphere. The restaurant is on the top floor with an amazing view.

Stayed with a girlfriend for the weekend. Really fantastic location so so close to great restaurants and the promenade. We had a large room slightly dated but did not matter as huge beds. Really clean. Rooftop terrace was great, nice staff running the bar. Even with a wedding and another event did not feel crowded. Used their loungers on the beach ( 18 euros) which was v civilised. Will definitely stay there again if we are lucky enough to return.

we stayed for 4 nights in September 2017. The hotel is within walking distance to everything worth seeing in Nice. Close to restaurants, bars, supermarket, beach and shopping. And its only a 20 min taxi ride from the airport. The hotel rooms are clean but a bit dated. The rooftop terrace is also quite worn and tired, and could use a bit of cleaning an paint. But that said, we had a good stay at this hotel.

Had the pleasure of staying here recently , September 2017, for 3 nights before commencing an Evergreen river cruise. I was pleasantly surprised. Reception check in was done by a very pleasant and helpful young lady. Our rooms where spacious and clean. Spa bath, shower and bathroom spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Only ate an evening meal at the restaurant and found it to be quite unpleasant. Much better to eat outside of hotel. Room service for food was a disaster. We were given food that was in tins and take away containers that had just been taken from the freezer and heated up. This was an absolute joke. Breakfasts were acceptable. Overall I would stay again due to location and room comfort however would never eat here again.
