I recently spent three nights at Hotel Relais Acropolis. Its about a 15 minute walk to the sea front, However, it will take you longer as you will want to take in the sites along the way. There is a beautiful park with to enjoy on route. We found some wonderful restaurants near the hotel. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was simple but very good.
I can say that I have never meet so nice and helpful ladies at the reception! They arange everything to us and tell all the informations we need while we stay at Nice. We stay here for 6 nights and the rooms were also cleaned every single day and the towels and sheets were also changed every day. The only bad thing is that we can rate the hotel with 2 stars + not 3* because the room is very small and in a little bad condition, but I can stil recommend it to all visitors of Nice because it also have a great location! Just a few steps away from biggest market Carrefour and bus station is just a five minute walk away.
One of the greatest hotels ever!!!! Merci beaucoup pour tout!! I would love to come back there again and to recommend it to my friends and family. Real thankful about the kindness and the help of the staff!
We spent five nights at this hotel which is located in a central position for the shops, bars and restaurants and the tourist sights of Nice. A short walk, of about 500mtrs. takes you to a tram stop where trams are frequent for the main shopping area and the main SNCF rail station. It is less than a 20 minute walk to the port and/or the Promenade des Anglais. The starting point for Bus No. 98 is not far away and this goes direct to both airport terminals. It could be regarded as a small hotel, but we found that there was always someone on hand close to the reception desk. As a result it felt safe and secure. The staff here are wonderful. I had a bit of trouble getting connected to the free Wi-Fi in the bedroom, but with a bit of tuition from the nice lady on reception, I was soon able to surf the net without any disruption. We were on the third floor overlooking the main road, but there was no noise from the traffic, although we did not have the window open with it being November. The room was spotlessly clean and all the necessary amenities were provided. Breakfast was from 06-30hrs and we were well pleased with everything that was provided. Most of the food was wrapped which made everything seem hygienic We could not fault this hotel in any way and we thought that all the staff who we met during our stay were pleasant and fulfilled their tasks beyond the call of duty. I would even go as far as to say that they were the most helpful that I have ever experienced.. Should we come back to Nice, this hotel would be our first choice.
Currently staying at this hotel and it has been a terrible stay from the minute we arrived. We didn't get what we payed for the room type, housekeeper just enters the room when she pleases so if you want privacy you might want to reconsider.. Manager has an attitude of 'so what? What do you want me to do' as a manager thats just a bad attitude your guests should be your main priority! Requested a refund being given which was refused but no worries will be contacting our booking agency once home. We basically been sharing our room with the house keeper who just comes in and out as she pleases without knocking! Wifi has been terrible.. We didn't get what we payed for "twin room" instead we got a double and tiny single bed in the corner of the room. You are given 1 single shower gel for 2 people? No tea or coffee in the room. The website is deceiving the rooms/hotel looks nothing like the images on the internet. The only thing that has been great is the receptionist Roxana who showed that she is deeply sorry for what's been done to us as well as show compassion! We hope that she finds a better place who will show her the right way to run a business. I deeply recommend you think twice before booking this hotel!! All in all beautiful country!
We were only here one night, but our room was very modern and well appointed, with a full bathtub in the bathroom, which I loved. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there is free parking right up the street. There are several restaurants up and down the street that the hotel is on so you don't have to go very far for a good meal. It's also close to the metro train.
The hotel was spotless ,,great sized room , quiet , nice bathroom , lovely breakfast area , large choice for breakfast , staff at reception always very helpful , breakfast & cleaning staff also very nice and helpful , great location for Nice old town , Nice centre for shopping , the beach a nice walk through place de massena , I shall be staying here on my next visit to France, highly recommended
The room was typical European- small but functional. The continental breakfast was also convenient (at 12 Euro, you are definitely paying for convenience rather than the food). The location is perfect if you are attending a conference at the Acropolis across the street, and the tram is one block away, making the rest of the city easily accessible. However, the greatest attribute of the hotel is the personnel; I can't say enough positive things about the staff. Each time I asked a silly question, they were ready to provide a helpful response. This was my first trip to France, and they were immensely helpful with finding the famous Bus 100 to Monaco, using the tram, and more. I would be happy to stay there again.
The hotel is very easy to get to from the 98 bus directly from the airport, although your bus ticket will get you even closer as it is valid on the tram too. It's situated very close to restaurants and a supermarket is just across the street. Plenty of shops nearby. The staff are fantastic, especially Audrey who speaks very good English! Nothing is too much trouble for her. The breakfast is good, if a little small on the selection; with pastries, cereals, yoghurt, toast, fruit, hams and eggs there's enough for a decent start to the day but it would get boring after more than the three days we were there. The rooms are tiny! We booked the superior double room which had a double and single bed and there was very little space. We were in room 207, which is supposedly one of the larger rooms, so I'd hate to see the standard rooms. Unfortunately, the bathroom was absolutely rank with black mould (see my pictures) and poorly cleaned. There were hairs in the sink and shaving hairs on the side of the bath. The smell of damp and mould was quite horrible. In the drawer there was a dirty knife and a blob of something unsavoury. The hospitality tray we were given to take to our room, and told it would be taken by housekeeping, was still there on the desk 3 days later. The rest of the hotel was very clean. The lift stops on every other floor, so there's a 1/2 flight of stairs you'll have to use if you're on the other floors. All in all, I wouldn't stay again as I think the £500+ we paid for 3 nights was too high for such a small room and with such a lack of cleanliness.
Lovely hotel. Modern with great rooms, welcoming , friendly staff and good continental breakfast. Location handy for main beach front, old town and city centre attractions. On tram route but also within walking distance of beach etc(20 mins). Would stay there again when visiting Nice in the future.
