Very nice hotel apartment just off the main road, under a 15 minute drive from the Hotel. Transport I recommend using an Uber driver via the app to get to the hotel instead of a normal cab service. We used a normal cab and were charged 50 Euros for a 13 minute drive at night. The only reason we never used Uber coming into Nice is that our phone batteries had died, when we were leaving we booked and Uber which cost us around 27 euros- go figure! Hotel& Surroundings The Hotel was great, there is always someone on the front desk/back office who is willing to assist with queries. The room was clean with a nice little kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, sink. The fridge also has a freezer compartment to store frozen food. On either side of the bed are wall sockets to plug your electrical goods although it would have been better if they had multi socket adapter so you can plug more than one device. The highlight for us was the rooftop swimming pool, it is beautiful and very clean and has sun loungers surrounding it. From the swimming pool rooftop area you can also see stunning views of Nice! The hotel is about 7 minutes from the nearest supermarket Intermarche- prices here are fantastic and the food selection is great with fresh produce as well. There is a larger supermarket called Casino about 25mins walk away that sells electric goods as well as food and kitchen utensils although I think Intermache supermarket is sufficient enough. There is also two cafes and an oriental resturant located 5 mins from the hotel walking distance. The distance to the beach is about 8-10 mins.
We spend a good time in the hotel. The only thing that MUST be upgraded is wi-fi. For international tourists who doesn't understand French TV it's impossible to watch movies on the internet, the wi-fi was too slow. Everything except internet was very good. Stuff, swimming pool, cleaning, climate control, place.
This hotel has pros and cons. It is relatively cheap but also has a lot of sundries which you could see on my photos. I was with my family of 5. 3 children, husband and myself. The good one was outdoor parking in guarded and closed yard. Also, we have had a free garage in the basement with lot of parking space and automatic garage door with pass code for any room. On the top there was a pool with beautiful view. The reception was ok, clean with pool table. There was also the best wi-fi signal which is free but not useful all around. We had one room without window. Bathroom, toilet, kitchen together with other bedroom. In the kitchen there was a microwave oven, fridge, cooker and dishwasher. Even on the page write that we need to pay additional summe for use mini kitchen, we didn`t because they gave us a key without payment. All was in function. Like I sad before there was a lot of sundries. The door of the bathroom was not in properly function, so the light comes out through the break. In the room there was no shelf which was there before. A lot of little damages all over the apartment. Also, the climate system was noisy. Very positive, if you wish to visit Marineland, is location. No need to walk more than 10 minutes through park at the right side and you will be in front of the main gate of Marineland. Also, 10 minutes drive is to catch Nice or, at the other side, 5 min to Antibes. We didn`t use public transport but the bus station is just a minute in front of the hotel. I try to be realistic because in France there are no cheap and excellent accommodation in one place. Also, the stars usually don`t corespondent the stars of the hotels in Croatia. So, need to be real and to know this is Cote Azur. It has it`s price.
My family and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We were very disappointed. High price, low quality. Firstly, the the bathroom was not clean. The toilet seat had a nasty yellow colour, and the bathroom floor was sticky, which made it feel like the bathroom wasn't being regularly cleaned. However the rest of the rest of the apartment felt clean. Air conditioning: the air conditioning is installed, but it doesn't work at all. The staff wasn't nice or helpful in any way. You are informed that the reception is closed between 12 and 3 pm, but it is very inconvenient. The hotel says: "sea side", but the it is at least 1 kilometer to the beach. There are train rails between the beach and the hotel which makes the journey to the beach much longer. Everything costs extra i.e. safe, kitchen appliances, expensive breakfast. The hotel is nowhere near anything. However, the hotel had a nice rooftop-pool with a great view.
You get what you paid for. That's why it's so cheap. No plates, glasses , or even toilet paper. I do not recommend this place. We got there around 7 pm, every store in the area was closed. No chance to get ice or anything. . Lucky for us we found McDonalds. Breakfast it's ok for €10. This is the only positive comment about this place.
Clean Hotel, nice position, nice swimming pool on the roof. We checked in around 4 and the room was still dirty, when we asked the receptionist to give us a new room she answered in a really rude mode . Bad wifi, isn't working in the rooms just a little bit in the hall. Difficult to find even with the navigator
Staff was very friendly, location quite good if you have a car, because beach is faraway. Simple room, just for a sleep, because all furniture is quite uncomfortable. I was happy with cleaning service and parking, also towels during all our staying was supplied for free. Just one think: the hotel offer the gym, but everything is quite poor there even for simple exercises.
After booking this hotel, I read lots of reviews saying how rubbish it was. Ohh!! We arrived in the morning to be greeted by a very cheerful and helpful receptionist! We couldn't check in until 3pm but we were able to leave our bags in a locked cupboard and get changed before heading off. All looked very clean and spacious. We returned just after 3pm, checked in and went to our rooms on the third floor. We had two rooms, a double for myself and wife (304) and our daughter, husband and two children (5&7) had room 301. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom. It was very clean and light, the bed was firm but comfortable. A small balcony overlooked another block in front of our room, to the right you could see the mountains to the left was another block. The other room was also very spacious with separate bathroom and toilet. They had three double beds, one in a separate room then two more in the main room with a wall so they were semi private. They had a large balcony that overlooked a swimming pool (being renovated) and mountains in the distance. Again, very clean and comfortable. Both rooms had a kitchenette with twin hob, microwave and fridge. Breakfast was another area of bad reviews so wasn't expecting too much! How wrong they were!! Good selection of yoghurts, breakfast cereals, breads, fruit, ham and cheese. Two drinks machines with excellent coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Also fresh juices and boiled eggs. Friendly staff made sure everything was kept replenished during breakfast time (7am - 10am) Off to the roof top pool. Wow, amazing views and a great place to watch the sunset with 360 degree views! The only down side is the pool is unheated! I'm sure in mid summer this is perfect, but in October it was very chilly and only the two grandchildren and daughter were brave enough to have a swim. The hotel is located about 200m off the main road and is next to an industrial area, but this wasn't a problem as it was quite. On the other side of the hotel and just 2 minutes walk away is a lovely park with lots of space for walking with a small playground. In the immediate area, there's not a lot to do apart from the park and the water park. It's a ten minute walk to the beach even though it's only 200m away as you have to go to the train station to get under the rails and across the road. There's a good supermarket 300-400m away which is well stocked but remember everything is closed on Sundays!! If you want a place to stay without travelling around, this isn't for you. If you don't mind public transport it's great. The bus cost €1.50 to go anywhere! It takes about 50 mins to get to Nice or Canes unless you hit rush hour when it's at least 1.5hours!! There are bus stops within 200m of the hotel so no major issue there. There's a very nice Chinese buffet 250m away and a couple of Cafes. If you want a choice you'll have to go to the marina where you can choose from several different restaurants. In summary, I'm not sure what other people expect from a budget hotel, but we experienced helpful, friendly staff, clean, spacious, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. What more do people expect? Would go back there again if we return to that area. Excellent stay over 6 nights!! Also check out Cagnes as it has a lot more to offer.
We arrived late at night and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful night porter,he even moved his own car so we could park in a better place in the gated secure car park. The room was massive with a kitchenette and all utensils supplied,we didn't actually use them though. The bed was fine with more pillows in the cuboard. The TV was useless for us,all programs were in French or American dubbed into French, there were NO satellite channels like Discovery-Fox News or any news channels. The Wi-Fi is free and easy to connect but is very hit and miss, very slow as well.We got lucky with the room at the front with a big balcony and view but next door is the view of a large stinky chemical factory. The location for us was fine because we hopped on the bus and used the train but there not a lot in the town.No bars,a few shops and biggish supermarket. There is a brilliant Chinese restaurant across the road, big place with AYCE menu for set price.Train station is 10 minute walk as is bus stop with very regular service to Nice and Canne. We found the staff spoke perfect English and were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the usual fayre with good choice and the cheese and ham didn't appear to have been hanging about like some hotels. The roof top pool was wonderful for views and relaxing around but the water was a tad cold for us but apparently it is warm at the height of summer. On the whole we thought the hotel was fine,ok the decor is a bit dated but it is clean and tidy. The parking is good and secure. The local beach is clean but the area is a bit rundown(as is Nice). We felt safe walking about and using the trains and buses so not that bad. We stayed here because we wanted somewhere cheaper than Canne, and that is what we got.A cheap clean hotel that we were happy with.
This hotel turned my holiday spirit down. If anyboby recommends this hotel, don´t believe them. In that case they must be friends of the owner, unexperienced travelers (students) or construction workers etc with low expectations. When I entered our room I started to wish that I could go home as soon as possible even though I was supposed to enjoy my holidays. This looks like a place where young student would live. Not like a place where adults would like to stay in their holidays. Very bad wifi connection. Also do not expect soft chair, hair conditioner or nightable both sides of twin bed. Narrow parking space. Pool workers beside our hotel woke us up every morning since walls seem to be very thin. Certailnly not worth three stars.
