Came here after trip to Germany cancelled. Had read various reviews, so arrived with an open mind. Was greeted warmly at reception, given my room card, and everything was explained. Room on 4th floor - a typical French town hotel room. Overlooked main Street, but noise didn't bother me, as I live on a main road. Lovely view across roof tops. Everything you could want for breakfast, to set you up for a day exploring. Location superb - a few minutes stroll from the sea front, old town, shops, candidate railway station, with tram & bus stops close by. Lots of restaurants and cafes close by too. I can't wait to go back.

The hotel is situated at one minute walk from Place Massena. It is also at walking distance from the beach and the old town. There are multiple food/dining options for different budgets at a walking distance. the staff was courteous and could answer all our queries regarding local sight seeing etc. The breakfast spread is decent, though there could have been more choice for vegetarians like us.. The rooms were clean and spacious with views of the street below....

The hotel is in a great location. It is very convenient to the tram and the city center as well as a short walk to old town and the beach. It was old, clean but a musty smell. The staff was friendly and helpful but there was not a "true" concierge. They can help with the basics like transit. They aren't going to be able to book tours. I was in France on business and spent a night with colleagues in my own room. Would have been tight for more than one person. So, if locations and a good price (120 EUR) in the center of town is your priority this will do. If you have a bigger budget I would stay somewhere else. My focus was sightseeing not leisure, therefore amenities of pool, restaurant, fitness etc did not drive my decision.

This hotel is just off Place Massena. If you want a most reasonable hotel within walking distance of the old town, beach and shopping this is it. It is a place to sleep in. Nice is the place to visit. The rooms are clean, the staff welcoming and professional. You could walk to the hotel from the station along the main shopping street. Should take you 15 minutes. If you choose the breakfast option, there is plenty of choice and my wife said that the coffee was the nicest she has ever tasted in a hotel and you can drink as much of it as you wish. I wouldn't bother with the cooked breakfast. This is the second time we have stayed here and our experience has been the same both times. It is a place to lay your head and quite reasonable for its position in town.

Ideally located for shops, restaurants and the Promenade des Anglais, this hotel deserves four stars for its level of service and accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was plentiful and well served. Some reviewers have said that the rooms were small, but mine was fine.

We booked this hotel through British Airways when we were booking our flight from London to Nice. The hotel is very well located in the centre of Nice but that's one of the few good things to say about the hotel. Except that the front desk service was also very good. Our fault really as it is only a three star hotel but the location could not have been better.

Bad smell downstairs by the elevator. The rooms are slightly smaller than tiny, and there was no refridgerator. The bed was very, very hard, I guess some people might like that, I didn't. There was some kind of cooling device in the room, I am not sure if it was Air Conditioning, it certainly did not work like air conditioning, in fact it had no effect at all. The location was good, for everything, but I think there are better valued hotels nearby, so I won't be staying again.

The location of this hotel is excellent - right beside the old town and walking distance to most of the sights in Nice. The rooms are clean but small, which I suppose you can expect in an old French building. However, the bathroom was far from ideal - really tiny, not properly cleaned on our arrival and the shower is the maybe the smallest I've ever been in. I'm not sure hotel bathrooms should ever have shower curtains and certainly not when the shower is so tiny that the curtain sticks to you as you try to shower, ugh! Overall, I'm sure there are better hotels in Nice for a similar price (it was reasonably expensive when we stayed.)

Really good hotel in great location. Good breakfast, plenty choice and friendly staff. Bit disappointed about size of rooms. Stayed here before and had bigger rooms, but rooms were clean and adequate. Will certainly stay here again. Love Nice.

We stayed there for 2 nights in a basic double room. The bed base was too small for the mattress so it felt a little lob-sided sleep and pillows weren't great. If you are overweight don't expect to be able to shower comfortably, I am slender and could barely move around. Kettle for and evening tea needs to have a deposit put down... what kind of people go there if they need to rent out the kettles to stop them from being knicked! Room is probably more suited to a single person as we could barely fit both of our suitcases in. For the €15 extra they charge for breakfast, I would rather go grab something elsewhere. Food was not great. They have a sign saying "food is to be eaten on premises and not taken away, you will be charged for the takeaway". What clientele come here?? Anyway, 2 nights, good location in Nice, it was doable.
