A charming Provençal hotel overlooking the medieval village of St. Paul de Vence & the Mediterranean (in the distance). We loved sitting outdoors for our croissants, fruit, cappuccino, etc, Breakfast is not included but well worth the price. The setting itself is a little world. Our suite had a terrace & spacious bath. Loved Le Hameau!
I have to say that this hotel is my favourite of any I've ever stayed in !!! The setting is stunning, the grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the interior of the hotel is charming and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and so hard working. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return soon. Thank you to all the staff for making it such a great place to stay.
We stayed here for initially 5 nights but extended it to 6. The hotel is extremely clean throughout including the communal areas. There are a few rooms in the main building then the rest of the rooms are in small cottage style buildings dotted about the complex. It is quaint and very pretty. The pool is very cold out of main summer season and I would recommend they heat the pool like other properties in the area which will attract persons like myself to come in any season in future. I didn't realise the importance of booking somewhere in this area with a heated pool until I realised how cold this one was. It was like putting yourself in an ice bath. The hot jacuzzi was nice though. We had one breakfast however would more recommend going into the town and having breakfast at one of the restaurants or going to Vence which only costs €1.50 one way each. I had panini's by the pool which were good and well priced at €8. Getting there: The 400 bus stop is straight across from terminal 1 at Nice airport on the main Road & takes you to within 50 - 100 yards of the front gate at Foundation Maeight bus stop at St. Paul de vence and costs €1.50 each and takes approx 1 hr. Getting about: The walk to the main part of the village takes about 5 to 10 mins and can be seen virtually from front gate. The bus stop previously mentioned provides buses to Vence where you will get your nearest supermarket and patisserie. In the St Paul village you will get a TABAC which you can purchase juice and next to Le Tilleul restaurant there is a cheese and ham shop which sells baguettes. Overall the hotel and staff are very welcoming and appears like a family run affair. Only criticisms I would have would be the coldness of the pool and would urge this be changed. The only 1 other item that would improve the customer experience would be if the small gift shop was made into one which provided water, juices, snacks etc as they would make far more money doing this than the pointless gifts which can be purchased in any gift shop throughout the area. Surely the hotel should be accommodating the guests needs and would save buses into town to get supplies. I would hope to return here soon.
Stayed at Le Hameau in Oct 2017 and loved every minute of it. Fantastic hotel resort with individual chalets, pool, fitness area, and the nicest outdoor dining are you can imagine. We would recommend this pace in an instant.
The most beautiful hotel in the nicest area of Cote d'Azur with waliking distance to St Paul de Vence village. both the room and the common area (pool, garden, breakfast terrasse) were immensely bueatiful. Strongly recommend!!!!
Excellent stay- this was my 6th time staying at le Hameau. The setting is beautiful, clean, quiet and charming. The grounds are very well maintained, with a beautiful outdoor setting for breakfast, a lovely pool and wonderful view of the valley and of the adjacent town of St Paul de Vence about a 5-10 minute walk away. The hosts are available and helpful for any help/advise you may need.
Just made a return visit to this charming oasis after 16 years. Every bit as beautiful as remembered, now with an infinity pool overlooking the infinity view down to the sea. Breakfast was satisfying (providing my my first and only brioche of my entire 8-day trip to France!), served outdoors beneath a vine-covered trellis.
The hotel is situated within great proximity to St Paul de Vence, 600 metres. Our room and bathroom which was a standard double was very spacious by French standards. It had a little balcony with views of the valley to the sea. The decor is traditional and the room was spotless. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in with crisp white linen. The pool area is beautifully maintained and also has lovely views to the sea. There is ample free parking on site. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is no kettle facility in the room but room service was available for tea or coffee.
Very well run hotel , beautiful and tasteful rooms with picturesque landscaping all round the hotel. Housekeeping was outstanding. We (x4) had a wonderful 1week at Hameau in Sept. Will return and recommend this Hotel
