My husband and I researched this hotel for our honeymoon and decided to go because of the reviews. We were very taken back by our whole experience at this hotel. Mostly because of the service when arriving and departing. When we arrived we waited at the tables to be checked in for over an hour, without anyone coming and offering us any drinks or food (after travelling hours to get to this hotel). The same thing happened when we were leaving and checking out. The staff did apologize afterwards and said they thought we were waiting for a cab and then offered us a free drink at the hotel but we do not drink. Our hotel room also smelt terrible in the evenings when going to bed (it was a sewage like odour).

We had a wonderful time at Hotel du Convent. The property has been beautifully restored and the gardens and grounds are so inviting. Very relaxing. Staff is extremely helpful and service is impeccable. We stayed in a King room with balcony overlooking the gardens. Will definitely return to the hotel when visiting Nice. I checked out several hotels on this visit and Hotel du Convent stands above all others.

Lovely staff who are not at fault and tried to make up for corporate missselling from their Marriott overlords who advertise this hotel is having a fitness centre and lots of other facilities which are simply utterly absent. Horror show access to the property with non-functioning lifts smelly plumbing all in all, probably the worst hotel in the French Riviera. Avoid at all costs, there’s so many wonderful properties in Cannes Monaco and indeed niece that you have to be raving lunatic to consider this.

We weren’t aware of some of the facilities provided. If you wanted to know anything you had to contact reception. Looks beautiful everywhere but not a good atmosphere about the place. If you want to have a drink in the bar you need to reserve a place. Staff are very friendly and helpful but still reserved. Mini bar not stocked up with water every day. Accessibility to this hotel is very limited. Taxis won’t drop you off there but if you book through reception they will come and pick you up. A longish walk down to the shops and restaurants which feels longer walking back!

Amazing hotel with plenty of dining options nearby. It offers a unique experience, showcasing how missionaries lived in the past. The only downside is the need to walk a few hundred meters for a taxi or Uber pickup, but the hotel conveniently provides a golf cart for pickups and drop-offs.
