The hotel was central but basic Breakfast was okay Nice is amazing Would definitely recommend the hotel for its cleanliness and central position in the heart of Nice Will definitely be going back to Nice
The hotel stay was not much good Even the hotel location is far away from most popular places in nice The breakfast menu is very limited and food not very good The rooms are too small and the bathroom & shower in different location in the room Hotel doesn’t provide any entertainment even the TV not working Only Maria at the reception is very kind person and provide help with her beautiful smile
I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with my husband and my son in a holiday to visit Cote D'Azur. Very good location, close to city center, port and train station Riquier. Also supermarket and take away near hotel. We ended up visiting Monte Carlo ( 6.50 euro return ) and Cannes by train, as very much cheaper and gave us plenty of time for visiting, rather than taking an excursion. Our room was very big , family room with a large double bed and 2 singles. Kettle in the room , coffee, tea, water provided daily. Receptionist very polite and efficient. Cleaning the room was average especially hoovering however changing bed sheets , towels daily. Overall I will recommend the hotel for holiday makers visiting Nice.
Spent two nights here in the most uncomfortable bed imaginable. We had bookings in another hotel but were told it closed before we left home. The Apogia is further from the sea. The room is ok with separated shower and toilet and motion sensor lights for toilet. Service is reasonable. Breakfast is hot food bacon eggs and sausages with cold cuts of meats, plenty of fruit and breads. Yogurt and juices as well as hot drinks. Very good compared to some we have seen.
The location is really good. Clean rooms (change towels every day and etc), but bathroom needs to be repaired. The breakfast....could be much better!!! 3 mornings the same food. That's ok, one day you could eat egg, another omelette. But there were NO VEGETABLES AT ALL!!!!!!!!!
I cannot recommend booking this hotel. I have booked the Hotel Apogia in Nice two months in advance and for a decent price. We started our trip to France last week and today I received an email from the hotel, telling me that my reservation had been cancelled without any prior warning. The cancellation reason was that my credit card did not work (I did recently receive a new card). This should not have been a problem in this case, as the room wasn't prepaid and my credit card was supposed to be charged during check-in. The fact that the hotel cancelled the reservation without any prior warning or notification is unacceptable. The rude front desk manager telling me I could simply rebook on their website for double the price was just the icing on the cake. Let's just say I am glad we had access to email during our trip and did not have to sleep in the car after arriving in Nice. We also found another gorgeous hotel in a better location for an even better price. So in hindsight I should probably thank the Apogia Nice hotel for saving some cash.
The hotel reception was welcoming in appearance. The rooms were basic but dated in decorative appearance. Near to the centre - only 5 minutes walk away from the old town and port. Located in a quiet area. Basic service from reception staff. One member of staff stood out - a young lady who worked during the afternoons. She was very friendly, pleasant, helpful and welcoming. She gave us a couple of recommendations which we were very happy with and she always welcomed us with a smile. I would rate this as a three star hotel not a four star as advertised on the website and bookings.com. Free wifi for guests and underground car parking - available on a first come first serve basis at 20 euros per day/night.
We visited as a couple on a last minute break my partner booked for my birthday. He picked this hotel because he got a last minute deal - 4 nights for 350 euro. When I checked the reviews I'll be honest I I wanted to cancel and was really dreading our stay here. Well I was really pleasantly surprised. Our room large and quite modern, the air con worked well, despite being above the reception and road it was really quiet and we both slept well every night. We heard no noise from other rooms or guests either even though it was clear the hotel was busy. The bathroom is dated, but it was clean and the shower was hot and powerful and we were given fresh towels everyday - we always put the please make up our room Sign out and it was always done. Breakfast was basic but we and most people seemed to find something to have - if you really don't like it there's a good brassiere directly across the road. My only Complaint was that the pastries were Clearly out of a shop packet and not baked. In France this seems pretty poor. Although the French bread on offer was lovely. Location - great if you can Walk. It's about 15-20 mins from Most things you'd want to see. Which was perfect for us and we liked the fact it wasn't on a loud busy street.its about ten minutes from nice riqier station with frequent trains to Monaco Antibes Cannes etc. We visited villefranche eze beaulieau sur mare and st jean cap Ferrat really easily - highly recommend a day trip to Those towns. Easy walk to the old towns and place garibaldi - where we had dinner and drinks most nights. Love nice and the hotel Worked perfectly for us.
Looks nice from the outside, not a warm welcome though! On entering the room we were actually pleasantly surprised, on the surface all looked good, spacious, good ac. But then no quilt for the 3rd bed, the bathroom was quite vile and they need to do a lot of work, mild everywhere, grout missing from tiles, paper peeling, just felt dirty, won't return until sorted.
I stayed during two nights in this hotel. I shared room with two colleagues and it was quite small without nice views (inner courtyard). Not enough plugs and the bathroom very old. The ceiling was rusty, out-of-style hair dryer without no power and no cleaned properly. The WiFi didn't work at all and after complaint about it, they said probably too many people use it. The second night, they didn't put pillows in one of the beds. We requested them in reception and they said they didn't have more left and in the moment they changed the towels, they just put two when we were three people in the room. The buffet was very bad without fresh fruit, just few choices, 'fake' scrambled eggs, not fresh juice, bread and croissants. Hotel very disappointed, it doesn't look a 4 stars hotel because of service, equipment and rooms. The only good thing was that the hotel was just 10 min away from the closest train station to go to Monaco or Cannes.
