Two stars hotel in a great position. Close to many interest points (old town, market, shopping street). People at the desk are very very kind and flexible. Breakfast is pretty good. Our room was very small but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was renovated. It's a very good solution if you want to visit the city without paying too much.
It worths the two stars, but good location and friendly staff. Rooms better than expected, in the same classical french style (very small and crowded). You only pay the price for the location, otherwise is an average hotel. Too expensive although.
I really enjoyed to be there. The staff was very king and helpful. The rooms ere clean and well maintained. They spoke English that made our holiday more convenient. Maybe one day we are going to go back. Two thumbs up!
Worth the two stars, but too pricy. It is very easy to get around in Nice, so I would choose a better hotel a little further outside for the same price if I come back. Ok room. Clean. Friendly staff (speaks english) and a very central location. Parking is difficult or expensive
We've stayed at the Acanthe over several years for our wedding anniversary and wouldn't stay anywhere else so we were back this year. The staff are always lovely and do their best to accommodate our requests, the most important of which is to stay "a la rotonde" in room 48 if possible. The view from this room is fab. Yes, the bathroom is a bit on the small side but the good points well outweigh this, how long do you spend in the bathroom anyway? The location is fantastic and the price really reasonable. The Acanthe never promises to give you 5 star space and extras, but you will find a spotless room, freshened every day, and friendly staff in a faultless location. Thanks for another great stay!
Good: -Great people on front desk, very kind. -Excellent Location Bad: -Smallest bathroom ever. I had to get out to dry myself because you barely can move inside the bathroom. What could be better: -The Carpet could be changed for some easy cleaning covering such as tiles. -Bigger bathroom, but It would have to be redone on the case of the room 24.
Excellent location close to the Old Town and the main part of the promenade. A few minutes walk from the tram and bus stops and about 15 minute walk from the train station. Rooms are very small, especially the bathroom, there was hardly room to turn round in it. There is no air conditioning but a fan on the roof. At night it was very noisy due to the lift and noise from outside, the bins are emptied very noisily every night at 1.30am by the bin lorry and there is noise from the street and nearby apartments. Staff are very friendly and the hotel seemed secure. The wifi in the room did not work very well at all but it was good in the reception area.
About as basic as you ll get but in very central location. We stayed in a treble room and there was only a small gap to walk through so very small room. Bathroom very small. No air con but we managed to get a fan from reception. Stayed in a few 2 star propertys during euro 2016 but this was easily the worst
Hotel was adequate. If your looking for somewhere just to sleep and have a good location then it's ok. Also ok for short stays. Wouldn't recommend if your bringing the whole family. Rooms where small and the triple room was tight for space. We did have an issue with our shower overflowing which took a couple of days to get fixed. Overall it's was ok and did the job but it's nothing special.
I stayed for two nights at this hotel while in Nice. It provided me with what I needed - my own room with ensuite to rest my head for the night. The room was very basic, just a bed and TV, and a bathroom which was extremely small. Breakfast was provided and was OK - just a few bread rolls and mini pastry. Recommend taking earplugs, not because of noisy guests, but the lift is very loud!! Hotel has wifi but connectivity isn't great.
