We were a group of 6 - 3 couples and had stayed in budget hotels whilst travelling but decided to have a bit of luxury for our last 5 days in Vietnam. The reception is glossy so we were expecting good things. The room was clean and small but had everything needed. Unfortunately the shower/bath has a problem which has been mentioned in previous reviews. Our first night one of our group had a shower not realising the water had funnelled along the bath onto the floor. He slipped and ended up on the floor bruised but luckily ok. He thought it was just his room but when we all mentioned the same problem we talked to reception. They advised it was a design fault and they would give us extra towels to place on the floor. We weren't happy with that so they upgraded us. Our new rooms were huge corner suites which had fabulous views of the beach and ocean from the front and city views from the side. We loved the rooftop pool for a relaxing drink and swim after a day either at the beach or exploring.
We stayed at Alana for 5 nights which was overall great value for money, a fantastic location. We stayed on the 12th floor and had an incredible view of the sea, in a really nice clean, modern room. A few details let it down, there was no double glazing which we would have expected as vital in such a noisy area. Instead they give you earplugs! We could still hear the traffic from the 12th floor. Also, two nights in a row the kitchen was closed and they had no room service despite offering in room dining. The best thing about Alana was the amazing and incredibly helpful concierge called Loc. He was so helpful and friendly and gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations and also general local knowledge. He made our stay! Thank you Loc!
This is truly one of the best 4-star hotels we have experienced ! The rooms are large and well furnished , with an excellent ensuite , and extremely comfortable beds .The breakfasts are very good . The staff are , without exception , friendly and helpful . The location - a stone's throw from the beach , and amidst the vibrant life of Nha Trang - is superb . Our little tour group stayed here for just two nights , but a much longer stay would be even more attractive . The Alana is to be highly recommended .
1.the room is spacious, nice and clean. 2.Providing superb breakfast buffet with a lots of choice, the fresh yogurt is my favorite. 3.Strategic location by having the beach just across the road. 4.there's also a shopping mall just a few steps away from hotel.
When we first saw images of the hotel suite room on the website we got so excited and booked it calling it once a life time. How wrong can that be when we checked in! The whole view was blocked by a massive new hotel building and we got a partial view! Incredibly disappointed just stepping into the room. Noise was horrible couldnt sleep well really for the few nights we stayed there. Safe was so low it seem like i was looking for something under the bed whenever i needed to use the safe Shower in long bath, getting in and out a problem, floods whenever you have a shower. It doesnt just overrun from the corners onto the toilet floor, it seeps out from inbetween as silicon has worn off and nobody bothered to fix it. Housekeeping not good, blanket had more creases after it is done. The housekeepers hang around the common area with their feet out of their shoes chatting it doesnt feel like 4 stars at all. When we checked out the hotel wanted to charge for writing paper used?!?!?! Thanks for reading my rant but it bothers me so much that i had to write my scathing remarks and please read before deciding to book, dont fall into the same "ocean view" trap we fell into!!
Firstly the good. The staff were very pleasant, greeted you with a smile at all times and were very attentive. We enjoyed the roof top pool, it was a pleasant area, not too much traffic as people seem to spend their time at the beach. The negatives - the shower is in the bath tub and it’s quite a high step to get both in and out of the tub. Be wary if you have any mobility issues - the shower only has a small half shower screen which only succeeds in directing the water from the shower down the side of the tub to form large pools on the floor. When adding the high step to the water on the floor, it becomes quite a safety issue getting out of the shower - the fridge in the room didn’t work. Despite being on its highest setting it didn’t keep anything cool - the safe is put on the lowest possible shelf in the wardrobe. It would be lucky to be 3 inches above floor level. We must have got a faulty one because it wouldn’t set properly to start with and then wouldn’t open again afterwards requiring one of the staff to come up and open it. We were then told not to use it which would have been a pain if it wasn’t our last day - the breakfast is just average at best. The hot food is warm at best. They cook fried eggs in bulk and sit them on a plate to be picked up so they are cold. The fresh juice is cordial, and very watery. - the noise from the streets outside is unbelievable. This isn’t the hotels fault but when you check into your room and there’s complimentary ear plugs you know something is up. To summarise, it was a disappointing stay and as much as the staff try, I would not stay here again or recommend the place to other travellers
This very modern hotel has marble from floor to ceiling. our rooms was comfortable but on the compact size with a very small but serviceability bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfasts were good. The rooftop bar was lovely but again very small and very windy. The barman was really lovely as were all the staff. We found the staff all very helpful. The beach was near but very much in the shade of the tall buildings which meant it was not very inviting for large parts of the day. Lotts of restaurants near the hotel but we found the town noisy and crowded with lots of restaurants offering russian menues.
We stayed here from Jan 20th to the 23rd on our way to North Vietnam and again I made an awesome decision. From the great location to the beach, roughly a 3 minute walk to the amazing staff this will in the future become a regular stay. The rooftop has a bar and a small infinity pool with great views. Most hotel stays here offer free breakfast with you're room and most are just ok. But this one far surpasses any we have experienced in the past. From extremely clean and great service to the huge selection of foods available I am happy to say it is the best we have ever had, and we have seen a lot in our travels. 5 star in our opinion! Thanks for the great stay we will see you in the future.
Thanks to Alana Hotel last week for helping me to prepare flower & cake and some deco for giving a birthday surprise to wife👍 The hotel location is good and convenient. Easily can get for local and foreign foods , if tiring just can try for spa & massage nearby. However it quite near to a night club make noice until midnight. Overall if next visit Nha Trang, sure will choose this hotel again.
I arrived at 6am for a 2pm check in. The hotel stored my bag with no issues. I was able to buy breakfast which was an amazing Western and Vietnamese buffet. I went back at 12pm and they expedited my check in, for which I was very grateful. I decided to stay another night and accidentally booked the same night! Oops! The staff were more than happy to assist and I managed to move my booking to the following night. I was told I had to move rooms by my agency that booked the hotel as there was none of the type I’d booked available. When I went down to re-check in the friendly staff said I could stay in my original room. The staff on the front desk are second to none! So helpful! If I ever come back here, I would definitely stay here again!
