The lobby is being renovated but other than that the room was great and had a really nice view. The staff was also very friendly. It’s walking distance from a lot of good restaurants & shops.

The view from the room was beautiful, even though we had heavy fog. You can see the lighthouse light to the south of the hotel. Right on the beach, too.

I wish I could rate higher but we were on the 4th floor and elevator stopped working, it wasnt so much an issue for us but other guests. This was the old Shilo thats owned by Elizabeth Inn, property is being remodeled

The only thing I didn’t care for was no coffee maker in the room. Otherwise 4.5 stars. Everything else was fantastic!

The listing advertised an oceanfront/ocean view room, and based on the photos we expected a clear view of the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the room did not match what was shown. The ocean was not actually visible from inside the room as expected. The window appeared dirty and covered with a film, and the view was mostly blocked. We could only see a small portion of the ocean by leaning toward a tiny section of the window, which did not reflect the room description in the app. This felt misleading and disappointing. Staff were nice when we asked about the directions or where we should go and get breakfast.

Did not like that we had to check in at the Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites next door. The only indication of this is on the sign for the Newport Oceanfront Inn. Nothing on the website. Would have made check in easier for alot of guests. They are remodeling the Newport Oceanfront Inn so I get it. We also had to change rooms 3 times. 1st 1 had NO power cable to the TV. 2nd 1 the TV was nothing but fuzzy no matter what we did. Callie came to see what she could do but all she could do was move us again. She double checked the 3rd room, and everything was perfect. Beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets. Callie was great every time I had contact with her. All employees were very helpful and eager to please.

No coffee or Keurig and no lobby to get anything for the kids. The lobby was in another hotel down the street. But great view and staff very patient and helpful.

Clean, Spacious, Remodeled, all the amenities. Everything worked. The only negative is that the lobby is closed and guests need to use the lobby next door at the Elisabeth.

Great access to the beach. Nice toiletries, staff is friendly and helpful, lobby treats were amazing, and breakfast was a simple take-away type that had a good variety.

We had a good one night stay. It is an older hotel that is being updated. We stayed in a section that had not been remodeled yet. The floor had some weak spots, small tv, wifi was spotty, beds could be better, and due to the sea spray the large portion of the window was very dirty. Breakfast was advertised but it was only packaged items and there was no where to sit to eat. The property consists of two large buildings so you have to pack your food back to your room. We had six in our party including small children. All in all, the kids enjoyed the stay and the breakfast selections. We had a clear view of the ocean through the bottom sliding windows but there were gaps between the frame and the windows. There was no screens on the sliding windows. We just had to be more mindful of the kids because they kept "looking" out and below. It was an unusually hot day (90 degrees) on the Oregon Coast. The room has no air conditioning but they do provide fans, so that was nice. The evening front desk staff was very nice and welcoming. Parking is under the building. The elevator won't win any races but it got us safely between floors.

Was excited to stay but when we got there we had to check in to the hotel next door (due to remodeling). It was late, after 11 pm, we had 4 kids and 2 rooms. One adult and 2 kids per room so spent over $550 for both rooms. Got our keys, walked the block away to our room, got to the room and it wasn’t ready. Only one of the beds was made up, the fridge was wide open, the dresser was wide open and the room was not prepared for guests. I picked up the phone to call the front desk and it didn’t work…. Just rang busy for 15 minutes. Kids were exhausted and I called on my personal phone to the hotel and let them know about the room. They offered for us to move rooms— by this time the kids were about asleep so I just got a blanket and threw over them on a bed with no sheets. The next morning, got up to take them to breakfast (again a block away) and the elevator didn’t work. So I had to drag myself (with a new knee) and 4 kids down 3 flights of stairs. Was told they were working on the elevator. We got done eating and was told the elevator worked. Got on- took us to the bottom floor and wouldn’t move again. Thankfully the door opened and we had to walk up 3 stories again to our room to get ready to leave. Packed up, left and the elevator was sketchy but I couldn’t go another round of stairs w/ bags so we took our chances and it worked. Anyway— I felt like the owner was ballsy to charge as much as they did for 1.5 rooms and an elevator that didn’t work. Sadly won’t stay again.

The location is great, beautiful ocean views. Staff was friendly. The room could use some work. Very dated, no air conditioning or screens on the windows to make opening the windows pleasant. The furniture was worn, ripped and dirty.
