Using IHG Reward Nights I booked two rooms for three nights. The Reception Team very kindly arranged for our family to have connecting rooms which made life much easier during our stay. Everyone was very friendly and kind - including providing some bottled water for our return journey. These little touches help make a break like this more enjoyable. We couldn't fault the hotel. A special mention for Nicky who went over and above in providing excellent service when we needed it. Thank you Nicky for your thoughtfulness and professionalism.

We have family in Stoke and have stayed in this hotel 3 times now while visiting. Each time has been a disappointment and after this last visit we will not stay here again. I am a rewards member and this is the worst Holiday Inn we have stayed in by far. Each time we have arrived the room has not been satisfactory or as we have requested. When we arrived this last time the room was made up with 2 beds for 4 people. The receptionist said that she would arrange to have the sofa bed taken down but we had to chase them up and asked for it to be down while we went out to see family. The staff generally are unfriendly. If you pass a maid in the corridor or other staff members and say hello you will get a grunt in reply. Having been offered complimentary drinks as part of the rewards membership the barman was rude when we asked for our drinks saying that beer and wine were the only drinks we could have. This has never been the case in the other Holiday Inns we have been to. The breakfast on the first day was appalling. The food was overcooked and left to dry up in the dishes on the display cabinet. Eggs shrivelled up, bacon hard and black pudding inedible. There was no milk for the coffee and when I asked for it to be replaced I was ignored and had to use the cereal milk machine instead. Restaurant staff were also unfriendly. We did not bother with breakfast on our second day. The only bright point was Nicky on reception when we checked out. She was very pleasant and helpful but the way this place is run she would be better served working for someone who deserves her talents more.

drove 4 hours to get to destination then realised we had wrong dates booked should of been there a week earlier however the manager toby couldn't of been nicer gave us room anyway with complimentary drinks and snacks outstanding service and a good start to our family trip will definitely be going back there next time we pass by

Visited This Property for two nights and three days With The group of 10 people including 4 kids of 4-9 year old.they gave us adjacent rooms . rooms were very clean and quite.Breakfast was very nice as well.Staff was very helpful and they explained everything at beginning very well.Swimming pool was very nice as well.Over all lots of activity area for kids .

We needed a stop off after a long day entertaining the family at Alton Towers and a hotel just of the M6 was ideal. Easy to find and at a good price, right on the motorway for a return trip home in the morning. Parking was easy and there was a wedding reception on when we arrived in the evening. This did concern me, but the reception staff were excellent giving my wife, my two year old son and I a ‘quiet’ room. I was on baby-sitting duty so when my son went to bed at 7 I sat in the room and read. Some people are so inconsiderate when they insist on talking and knocking on doors right opposite our room, but that fortunately was sporadic until 10pm ish. My wife enjoyed a pims in the bar (or two) she returned at 11. (think I got the raw deal). Beds were comfortable, there were some marks on the wall of the bathroom which appeared to come from some sort of scuffing, but it was a peaceful night. Don’t open the window though, as you do hear the rumble of the motorway. I suppose the houses close by become used to it. Bathroom was very tight. You can't open the door without hitting your head if you're sitting on the toliet..... Yes, my two year old does want to see me sitting on the toliet! We used the swimming pool in the morning and it was very quiet and I enjoyed seeing my son’s progress from his little lessons he has, a good addition to this hotel. Breakfast in the morning was a little better than average with a wide selection (although they ran out of bananas) and staff were very attentive and took the time to have a chat. I would return, hopefully making use of the bar next time, and I would insist on a quiet room if at all possible.

Stay here on a regular basis for business. Staff and manager are very helpful, always friendly and make time to chat. Evening meal is of a great standard and in comfortable surroundings and breakfast is plentiful giving a good start to the day. Everyone here works hard at ensuring each stay is pleasant. Easy access to M6 and A50. I only stay with Holiday Inn and always look forward to returning to this one.

I am a gold member with IHG for many years and have stayed at their hotels all over the world. i had a meeting with my business partner so arranged to have lunch at the Holiday Inn. Lunch was fine 2 weeks later i get a bill from parking eye for £100 for parking. i spoke to the receptionist and they said that they would wave this as i had a bill receipt for lunch Number 20170226023. i have now been informed that i am now being taken to court for the £100 outstanding plus court costs . My company spends around 100k a year with IHG group i have instructed all my staff to find alternative accommodation from now on as we may start incurring costs from parking eye. Lets see how many fines that they need to collect to make that loss of business up.

Stayed here for a one night stop over, very corporate but was comfortable and clean. We were in a family room, so I was a little surprised to see no bath in the ensuite. I would stay again just for one night.

A one night stop that was distinctly average. Reception staff were friendly and efficient, the family room I was in has a small bathroom, which although had been recently refurbished, had the toilet seat loose. The bed was comfortable and a good night sleep was had. I had an evening meal that was ok. Breakfast again was ok, pricing at @ £110 plus £9 plus for breakfast was not value for money, compared to other hotels in the area. Myself and 2 colleagues stayed here and cost more money than 4 of us staying at a different hotel the month before , where the facilities were better.

We stopped off here on-route to Alton towers. Kids eat free... The hotel looks nicer inside from outside! Family room was ages away from reception but was fine for the 1 night! Dinner was nice and there was a kids corner which was great. Receptionist was very helpful. Pool was good size for the kids, changing area was abit tired.
