The pods sleep 2 adults in a double bed and 2 children on fold-out Z beds, making them perfect for exploring the local area or simply relaxing in nature. Guests have full access to the woodland, where children can build camps, play on the tyre swing, and gather fallen wood for the fire pits. The large six-meter bell tent is bright and airy, with a double doorway, furnished in a Bedouin style with cushions and rugs. It features a double bed for adults and fold-out Z beds for children. Privacy is ensured with a nearby toilet, shower, and sink, and an outside decked seating area offers a cozy spot to enjoy the outdoors. All bedding, towels, cooking utensils, and a fire pit are provided, creating a complete glamping experience. This off-grid site offers a quiet, natural environment with no electricity—although guests can have their phones charged in the owners’ house if needed. Inside, there’s an indoor wood burner for warmth, along with a gas stove, BBQ, crockery, cutlery, and bottled water. The woodland setting is full of secret passages, wood sculptures, and wildlife, offering a magical atmosphere for both children and adults. The site is located in the village of Woolton Hill, which has a shop, post office, three pubs within walking distance, and a monthly village market. It’s an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions such as Highclere Castle (famous as Downton Abbey), the National Trust’s The Chase nature reserve, Newbury Racecourse, and canal boat trips to Hungerford. Surrounded by scenic countryside, there are plenty of walking and cycling trails to enjoy right from the site, making it easy to explore without needing to drive. The area offers a variety of outdoor activities and family-friendly attractions, ensuring a memorable stay in the heart of nature. Please note that the site is home to free-roaming birds and dogs, which may approach the accommodation, so it may not be suitable for those uncomfortable with wildlife or animals.
