Heating was broken and very cold in the room even with a small Radiator. The bed cover was a very thin summer like quilt. The heating was broken in November when we last stayed there which is Over 3 months.

Room was nice and clean, the only thing is that the shower plug is blocked and the water overflowed onto the floor. I didnt have breakfast but dinner was great and service was great. All staff go above and beyond. The bed is super comfortable.

We chose this hotel for comfort and the promise of a good breakfast, but unfortunately we were disappointed on both counts. The first family room we were given had wallpaper peeling off the bathroom wall and mastic coming away around the edges. The room was cold, only heated by an electric unit—which suggests this might be a known issue. It was also quite narrow, making it difficult for the family to move around, especially when accessing the bathroom. Thankfully, the staff were able to move us to another room. Breakfast, served between 8–10am on New Year’s Day, also fell short of expectations. We arrived at 9:15am to find that the staff had already stopped replenishing the food, which was frustrating. It felt unnecessarily early for a holiday morning. Given the already high room rates, the quality and service were disappointing, and the added cost of parking didn’t help. We visit Newbury regularly, but after this experience, we’ll likely look for alternative accommodation next time.

A lovely, clean hotel. All the staff were friendly, though a bit scarce at times. The pool was lovely, though not manned by a member of staff when we used it. The only negative thing I would say is that the bedrooms were cold.

Our bedroom was of good size. However the room was cold although the built in heating was in working order it wasn't sufficient . The management obviously knew and had put an electric rain the room. The bathroom was awful 😞... It was not only very shabby but was like an ice box. No heating whatsoever in there. Plus we couldn't have a shower as being over 70 there was absolutely no way either of us could climb in and out of the high bath. Breakfast ok..... But prefer a buffet style. Staff in every area were good.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. AVOID THIS PLACE Staying at ORIDA HEALTH (near Newbury) was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. The problems started in the evening. The bar was open, but the service was extremely unprofessional. The staff could barely communicate or understand basic requests, creating confusion rather than service. At around 2 a.m., a pipe burst and an entire floor was flooded. Water was everywhere, the ceiling collapsed, and the conditions were unsafe and unacceptable for guests. In our room, there was no electricity and no hot water, and no clear management of the emergency. We did not sleep at all. First because of the flooding and chaos at night, and then in the morning due to very loud industrial pumps used to remove the water. Photos are attached to this review to show the real situation. At checkout, instead of apologies or support, we were simply given an email address and told to send a complaint. No responsibility. No care for guests. Poor management, unsafe conditions, and no customer service. I strongly do NOT recommend ORIDA HEALTH. Avoid this place.

The check in staff were very polite and helpful. The wiating staff the same. But NO HOT WATER for the duration of my stay, so could not shower, or wash in hot water. No notifiaction to residents to the situation and not apologetic (in fact a bit angry) and no offer of compensation for basic services we all expect when checking out. Not the residents' fault that we had no hot water.
