Great for just a historical experience. Hope to visit again.

Nice hotel to stay, the only thing I did not like is the hotel did not have mini refrigerator in the room and the hotel did not provide ice chips from vending machine.

Short but sweet! Location, staff, facilities were all excellent! As an Army brat,West Point has always been part of my life. The Thayer just adds to the experience!!

If you’re going to visit West Point, this is the place to stay!!

Excellent hotel. Polite staff. Very convenient to West Point. Fitness facilities were great. Room very clean.

The Hotel is beautiful just what we expected. The check in process was a breeze and the staff was very helpful and attentive. Our room was located on the river side and the first night was a nightmare since there is a freight train that passes very frequently. In fairness to the hotel we did get a call a day before our arrival letting us know about the train which was fine since the rep indicated its only once or twice at night it passes. Well to our surprise it must have passed about 7 times that night. This was very disappointing since we kept waking up every single time. other than that we had a very nice stay.

Hotel is very nice situated in Hudson and West Point is beautiful, but you aren't getting what you pay for. I could go down the street to a Hilton or Hampton for much cheaper and have everything that is here.

The staff were friendly and professional . The room was clean n bedding comfortable.

Outstanding but communications mixup resulted in room not being cleaned.

Went to visit my son at West Point. Was a great location but went in Feb. and it was COLD!!!!!!

Th staff was friendly, the food was great, the room was awesome and quiet, the view of the Hudson river was great! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the West Point area.

Nice clean room, comfortable bed, great room service, great food, very quiet and the staff was friendly and courteous

The Thayer Hotel experience is cuddling into the luxuries of a day gone past. The rooms are finely appointed and very comfortable. The desk staff could use training in professional dress and behaviors. The Sunday brunch is a gourmet treat. The Friday lunch buffet was awful: dry and tasteless.

Great location overlooking the Hudson. Rooms were relatively modern. Staff was great. Great valet and front desk service. Brunch was amazing. We traveled with a group and 6 kids under 9. Overall a great experience. Only thing missing was a pool!

Excellent We took a tour of West Point including history of buildings and cemetery. Entertaining, enlightening, and pretty good walk on a hot, humid day.

room is nice and clean and very nice staff in the hotel

Really great staff--very supportive Excellent facilities

The Thayer Hotel is a neat place - cool history, it sits on the grounds of West Point and looks like a castle. Overall I like the hotel - but our room wasn't great. We signed up for a King Sized bed - but got 2 full sized beds and weren't able to change because they were full. They told us that they don't guarantee room type - but if I had specially requested it I had a better shot at getting what I wanted. Also - we got these packages on our bed with sleepytime tea and ear plugs 'to enjoy a tranquil stay' which set off all sort of alarm bells. Turns out our room was about 10 feet from the 'nightclub' which had an outdoor patio outside our window. Luckily it was cold so no one was outside - but given all this - if we go back - we would make a lot of requests to make sure we got a king bed in the main building NOT next to the night club.

My reservation had not hit the hotel computers before my arrival. They seemed confused and not sure what to do. It took time for the hotel to figure something out and provide a room. They put a ghost charge on my credit card and said it would be removed from it at checkout. THey confirmed that at desk it was done as I checked out. It's several days later and the charge is still on my card. I've made two phone calls to the hotel with promise of a return call...and still nothing.
