This is my second stay. My first stay was quite good. This time we were in the "Humming bird" room. It was perhaps service quarters in the historical past. It was a dump. Not the overall inn or its surroundings, just the humming bird room. There is no need to think about a return visit. Microtel is better.

What a wonderful experience staying at the Borland House is! With the quaint, homey feeling of the whole house, to the kindness of the staff. Your stay will absolutely be lovely. Ample towels are provided for the private, spacious bathroom. Very comfortable bedding and well appointed decorations are in the bedroom. I was in the Hummingbird Suite. I could see myself living there, it just had everything I needed. I look forward to visiting again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay at the Borland very much. It was in walking distance to many great restaurants and a great coffee house. Our room was clean and cozy and the parlor and dinning room were available for use by guests. The staff was kind enough to serve our breakfast earlier than the usual time to help us keep an appointment. The breakfasts were great. We will return!

This is a beautiful old home with very comfortable accommodations and an amazing staff! The house is old so expect some creaky floors but it is clean, beautifully decorated and maintained, and it was a treat to stay in a place that is clearly well loved.
