The room was great - bed very comfortable (awesome pillows!). Were told bfast ended 1030 am (on a Friday morning). Arrived at 950 am to mostly empty trays - what was left was not very good. I would stay again if they get better foo.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel we had horrible service. We were there for a taekwondo tournament that is annually. The front desk staff blamed our kids for clogging the downstairs guest bathroom when in fact it was clogged prior to our arrival. They were not helpful in guiding us to parking locations. Twice our room was not cleaned, and the one time that it was cleaned they left a sticky substance in the entryway. When we asked them to clean it they never did and in fact was very rude about it. We always try and stay at a Hilton property but this experience has us questioning the quality Hilton provides!
I stayed here for one night on business this week. Checking in went smoothly for me (my colleage not so much as they hotel was over sold and he didn't have a room even though he had a reservation and received no apology!!! Left him hunting for a room) The hotel lobby is cool looking with a small bar. I asked if they had vending machines as I wanted a drink and they said no. Hmmmm a hotel without vending machines is very odd. The sleeping rooms are ok. They are dark not enough light. Fixtues in bathroom were broken. Hallways are dark not well ulluminated. Not what I expected. Look elsewhere.
Wish I could give no stars but had to at least give one!!! -Check in took us more then 45 minutes . -Room was definitely whatever they had available (why it took them forever to check us in) -Furniture was beat up and old. Towel hook fell off the wall when I hung up the towel. No shower cap. Only 1 towel. -One of the reason I booked this place was for the rooftop , but GUESS WHAT??? it wasn't up and running . -Breakfast , what a joke !!! Food was cold , employees walked in complaining about some manager . They had no professionalism at all. And last but not least , I forgot my sneakers !!! I had my sneakers in a white dust bag. Unfortunately, for me they blended in with the sheets and I left them behind . When I called the hotel no manger was available , called numerous times as no one returned my calls . Finally spoke to someone in the evening and said he would look into it . Of course no one seemed to find my sneakers . Only thing they could offer me is a room on any night plus a 4th of July party entrance . Now why In the world would I ever stay at this hotel again. You couldn't give me a weeks worth free to stay here . If you are used to paying money and having the ultimate worse service then this is the place to go.
We had a great stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and huge. The bed was perfect and the breakfast was good. The hotel is Right across the Train Station. We slept a night after our late flight, very close to the Airport.
First off, I will update this hotel after they respond back, I give every place a chance. First off, the hotel is supposed to be themed around Nikolai Tesla, who stated that we need to look at the world in terms of vibration, frequency, and electricity, in room 3** double bed, most of the outlets were loose and didn't work, the shower vibrated and has a waterproof sign over the faucet that is freely moving, so when you turn on the shower and think that the water is on warm, in my case, could actually be on hot and scald you. The beds were really soft, so if you need a firm mattress then you will be uncomfortable. The next thing is the thermostat, it is broken to the point were it will change to 72 F or get stuck and end up being 78 F at 4 in the morning. After waking up in a pool of sweat I expect the breakfast to be amazing because that is the only way this hotel could have been given such a good rating. The breakfast was watered down eggs, sausage, potatoes and donuts. I did not eat the potatoes or donuts but the eggs and sausage tasted like someone boiled them in water. You also have a car garage that you have to park in for 5 bucks. The hotel had promise but ended up disappointing my wife and I. This is more of a hotel for someone looking for a last minute place to stay.
The hotel is perfectly situated with the rahway junction stop right in front of it. The rooms themselves where good, but no safe in any room. Breakfast personell was unfriendly and unpunctual. The personell seemed overall a little lazy.
If you have to stay in the Rahway area, this is the place. Clean, affordable, and within walking distance to train station and some unique restaurants. I’ve stayed here 5 times for business and I’ve not been disappointed.
Poor maintenance, dirty, unorganized and poor functionality. Calls were put on hold and then a hang up. Garage was not convenient. Poor mirror placement. Shower had extremely poor pressure and cold water. It was also designed poorly with water pouring on floor.
The staff is helpful and friendly and that’s the only reason I stayed in this hotel for the 4 nights I was supposed to stay. The room are barely functional, no light control was working except the bathroom. We had 2 days without water and the last morning no hot water at all (very refreshing shower). The noise within the hotel is incredible, I could hear the person in the next room opening their suitcase. And the last night workers did some work in front of my door from 10pm to 12, leaving 2 fans working all night... If really you have no place to stay and/or are looking for a night without sleep go ahead otherwise look elsewhere for an “hotel”. First and last stay in my case...
