Just Okay & Really tired - it's New Smyrna

This property looks better in pictures than it really is. For the price of this home I expected it to be nicer and cleaner than it was. It was clean enough, but the floors were pretty dirty, the walls in horrible condition, not well equipped with basics. I made sure to wear flip flops at all times in the house.We were in town for a family wedding and had our older relatives and a few young adults staying here. If you're planning on cooking there is NOT enough pots and pans to make a family meal. Luckily we had packed and brought some of our own. The towels in the bathrooms are old and kind of grungy. The roof of the outside patio is half torn off with exposed pipes and wires. The furnishings are tired. There are electric shades in the master bedroom which face the main street. We could not figure out how to use them and a sign showed instructions could be found on the rental website, but we could not find them. We were able to close 2 of them, but I'm thinking the 3rd set are broken because when we looked up, there was a red light flashing and an exposed wire coming out. The ice maker in the kitchen was not working. It was flashing with maintenance lights showing it needed to be cleaned and needed a filter. Additionally the ice maker in the refrigerator had minimal ice. This was disappointing and I feel like this is something that someone should have checked prior to our stay. We had to go purchase ice.Definitely a money grab home not being maintained.

Perfection!!!

Modern, cozy, spacious! I was offering a workshop retreat weekend for my company. We had 11 women that stayed for the weekend. We all had our own space and only two people had to share a bathroom. There is a half bath on main floor for all to use so everyone has their own space to retreat to when they wanted their own space. There was plenty of room in the loft space for air mattresses for young children if needed. It wasn't necessary for our group! The kitchen was fully stocked. The sunsets were amazing from the backside of the house. Would stay there again! Highly recommend!

The Home was Fantastic but, as the questions above reflect issues with didn’t sleep as many as was listed, needed more wash cloths and hand towels and bath towels which we didn’t get till the next day in the morning. We asked for air mattresses and didn’t get those until the next day plus more pillows and no pillow cases. Bar Stool & bar ice maker, drawer with cooking utensils and elevator (dirty) were broken and told that someone was coming to fix the elevator and never did.

The place to be!

What a beautiful house! We loved every second spent in this place. The description and pictures matched perfectly with the website. We were within walking distance of everything. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and super spacious. The lovely kitchen and living room areas were spacious and well decorated. We loved the porch and spent every morning with coffee out there. We will certainly be back to enjoy this amazing house and town. Thank you for everything!
