Great Retreat Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house has a sister VRBO on the same property, so it was great for our young adult ministry retreat. They share a campfire, big yard, and they are beautifully maintained. We loved our time here!

River time!

Getting to chill by the river was awesome! We had a family get together for my nephews 21st birthday and this was a great spot to celebrate!

Would definitely stay again!

This property was so cute! It was perfect for our cousins getaway. We had a few adults and then 9 kids and it was perfect for all of us. Everything was clean and we especially liked that there were plenty of towels. We had a small issue and the owner came over right away to remedy it and was very nice and even recommended where we should float the River from. We had a great trip and would definitely stay again

Wonderful property

The property was spacious, clean & updated. The TEXAS weather did what it does & decided to send a cold front through, so we didn’t get to float the river, which was easily accessible. So we enjoyed the fire pit, big yard & indoor space. I recommend.

Perfect Weekend Spot

Property was great! Met up with some old buddies from college for a boys’ weekend. Place was plenty spacious to accommodate 8 of us. Ease of check in/out was very convenient. Big kitchen and outdoor grill made it easy to keep everyone fed without having to run into town every night. Local grocery store in Sattler was only about a six minute drive and had everything you could really need. Direct river access was great and easy to use, in a perfect spot on the river. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

As soon as we walked in, you have the kitchen area which is very spacious and has all the amenities you need, the dining room table was beautiful, and the living room sofa was very comfortable. The rooms are great size and comfortable for our family. We enjoyed the outside set up and easy river access. I would definitely stay here again!

And with all of us being adults nobody was crazy about the bunk beds. We had an issue with the A/C but they had someone come pretty quick to fix it. I would recommend this house to a group but not as big as ours.

7th Annual Friend River Float

This was an excellent place to stay. The property is exactly as described. Only disappointment was the propane was almost out of gas. I know it's not guaranteed but it would be nice for that to be viewed occasionally and refilled when extremely low. It makes it difficult when you plan to grill and need to find a place to refill the propane. I would also suggest a small closet with fun in the sun toys. Knowing many people will be planning to visit/float the river it would be excellent to have some paddles, soft cooler, water guns, fish net, left over tube or floats etc. Just little items available for use if wanted. We came prepared and did not need these items, but I think it would be a great benefit to 1st time floaters to have a few extra items they could use. This was still a 5star location and house and we will certainly stay here again. Also, we highly recommend the local outfitter Little Pondarosa tube rentals.
