Perfect place to spend a few days in cappadocia

We were only here for less than 72 hours but are very glad we chose this property. I didnt realize at the time of the booking that the hotel is the same as the operator under the name Royal Balloons. They helped me book a balloon flight for the day after our arrival. The sunrise was fully booked so we took the “daylight “ one just 45 min later. Still we had to wake up at 4 to be ready in the meeting point by 4:40…which happened to be our lobby. So keep in mind for first flight you will need to be ready by 4am to be taken to launch site. I guess folks staying elsewhere have to account for even more time if they are booked with Royal Balloons, in order to be brought here. We booked a family deluxe suite which had a queen bed in the bedroom and two separate twins in the entry room. Perfect for our family of 4. Both the hotel and the balloon flight worked out great for us. We happened to arrive on early flight from Istanbul landing at 12:40 and the shuttle arranged by the hotel was already waiting w our name among others. And we made it to hotel by 2 pm check-in time giving us rest of day to explore. Goreme is well situated to explore cappadocia. The town itself has a lot of shops and restaurants and easy 6-8 min walk away. Front desk gave us the idea to maybe rent car if we want instead of all day tour so we did for 24 hours and it let us explore at our timeline and the sites we wanted to go from the red tour. Highly recommend this place for their friendliness and location

The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was good. The shuttle from and to the airport with them was ok, just 12 euros per way. The only thing that it was not ok was the air ballons price which they want it to charge me 230 euros, but on the main street of Goreme I got for 100 euros. I recommend to buy all the tour on the street not in the hotel ok.

The rooms are tidy and clean with all basic inclusions. The breakfast and dining area was really good. If you’re lucky, the rooms have a view of balloons which take off in the morning. If not, you can go to the terrace which is a comfortable place to view it as well. The room I stayed in was otherwise small suited to a maximum of two. My only tip is to plan your pick up or shuttle if possible. Taxis cost to Göreme is about US 60 to US 70.

We were welcomed warmly and found our room clean and with fabulous bathrooms. Our balloon trip had been cancelled due to weather and the staff made every effort to book us on the next day. Royal Stone House (5 stars)

Royal Stone House is my favorite hotel in Goreme. I have stayed there 3 or 4 times over the years. The staff is amazing, wonderful breakfast every morning and wonderful views. You can see the hot air balloons rise when the weather is good enough for them to be in the air. Highly recommend Royal Stone House.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I initially wanted to experience a cave hotel, but the price here couldn’t be beat—it was much more affordable than the cave hotels. We also wanted space during our stay, and this place delivered. There were four of us, and the room included a separate living area, a bedroom area, and a huge bathroom that was almost the size of a standard hotel room. They provided slippers, bathrobes, soaps, shampoos, shoehorns, shoe polish, and other thoughtful amenities. The food was great too. We had to leave early at 6 a.m., and they even prepared a to-go breakfast for us to take on our journey.
