We stayed at the penthouse suite for 5 nights. The room with its private terrace (outdoor jacuzzi) is spacious, airy (well, the island was very windy) & with lots of light. The bathroom is a good size with good toiletries + more such as mouthwash, shaving cream & aromatic oil. High tech control on tablet for blind & lights (only in their penthouse suites I were told). Everyone was smiley & helpful especially with our luggages & enquiries. The buffet was fine & plentiful. There are few negative points: the hotel is around 10 minutes' walk to the St George beach & 20 minutes to Chora - this is not a problem but there is no pedestrian path for the first 5 minutes' walk so it is quite dangerous with children and at night. We had a few incidents on the tablet control while closing the blind & lights but after reloading/refreshing the app on the tablet, it worked fine. The light cum ventilation in the bathroom is controlled by a sensor which is very cool but disturbing during the night as it's impossible to use the toilet without waking the person in bed. All rooms have no exterior door handle to avoid banging it close when you get out so it was a bit noisy in the early morning. Told Konsta about the bathroom & door handle and hopefully they could do something about them. Overall we have enjoyed our stay.
Our wonderful visit to Naxos Town was complimented by our stay at the beautiful and welcoming Saint Vlassis where the staff were friendly and helpful and the owner, Costas, made us feel like part of the family. Rooms were beautiful and clean with attention to detail. Breakfasts were included and were fresh and delicious. The location offered a nice walk to the beach and downtown. I highly recommend it!
Costas and his staff are amazing! They make things very easy while travelling. The warm welcome and phenomenal breakfasts every morning are the highlight of our stay. Rooms are beautiful and clean! We highly recommend for your stay in Naxos!
We just checked out of Saint Vlassis literally less than an hour ago, and I felt the need to write a review! We stayed here for three nights and it was one of the best places we stayed in on our entire trip to Europe. It’s a small hotel probably no more than ten rooms, but the service provided from the owners/staff were just incredible. This hotel is the gold standard of service. From the time we checked in till the time we left we had a wonderful time. We arrived to the hotel in the afternoon after walking from the ferry port (which is around a 15-20 walk it is very doable). We were greeted immediately and they knew us by our names already. We were offered cold drinks - by the way they have the most amazing fresh orange juice here!! The two gentlemen working at the front (I believe are the owners) were so lovely and they spent the time showing us a map of Naxos, some restaurants to go to, and offered to book a car for us if we needed. We were shown to our room, which was on the second floor. I think there are a total of three floors in the hotel. It was a double bed room as reserved but it was much nicer than expected. The room was clean, the washroom was great, and the cleaning service was awesome. They did such an amazing job everyday cleaning our room. There is also a small balcony, and working air conditioning. Breakfast was included every morning downstairs in the hotel lobby. It was decent, there was a fair selection of food such as bacon, sausage, eggs, cheese and delis, cereal and toast -with some changes everyday, and the coffee and like I said earlier the orange juice was awesome everyday! I really enjoyed the Greek yogurt and topped it with fresh fruits and honey - this was my go to breakfast! I can’t believe this hotel exists- it’s such an awesome find, it’s a small hotel but the owners work so hard and their efforts are not unnoticed. I read a previous review complaining about how it’s not by the port or not on the beach, it doesn’t need to be! It is perfect as is! It is out of town and not in the touristy area which makes it peaceful, and while the land around it is not beautiful it does not matter as St. George’s beach is walking distance away. Also did I mention the hotel has three adorable cats??!! The one kitty was so sweet and cute and friendly. The owners greeted us kindly every morning, and anytime we asked for something they helped us. They explained how to take the buses, arranged a car rental for us for 30euros for the day that came directly to the hotel, and just had the brightest faces every time. I booked our reservation three months in advance on Expedia and got an amazing deal, it was roughly 25 euro a night, so 75 euros for three nights- what a deal!! For a beautiful clean room, with all the necessary amenities, amazing and friendly staff and a good breakfast - this is an incredible deal. We almost felt bad how cheap it was. When I looked at the prices for the hotel recently, it was similar for the month of May - as it is shoulder season. Around June it goes up to 90 euros. Also the bus stop is less than five mins away, and also five min away is an AMAZING supermarket! It is huge two floors and has everything you need for an affordable price. The refreshments in the mini fridge are not included, do yourself a favour and go to the market and stock up on your own drinks. I just want to say thank you so much to the owners and all the staff at this hotel. It really made our trip and we were super sad to leave. We would most definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and families and hope others take the chance as well to discover this hidden gem ❤️❤️ Love, Cho
In April we stayed in the penthouse suite with jacuzzi with our 7 year old daughter. We had a great time! Nice views from the terrace and plenty of space for the 3 of us. Very enthusiastic and friendly staff, very well maintained and clean and very nice Molton Brown products! The only thing is the walk to the center which is a little inconvenient with kids because there’s no pavement. And breakfast can be improved by more healthy options but that’s just a matter of taste. Overall we had a wonderful time and definitely want to go back!
This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were immaculate with Molton Brown toiletries. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The owner could not do enough for us. He arranged our hire car, taxis and provided excellent recommendations for eating and sight seeing. His hospitality was fabulous. I can not recommend this beautiful hotel enough. It is a very special and unique boutique.
If the name of Saint Vlassis Hotel would ever be changed, I would simply call it: KONSTANTINOS !!! Because Konstantinos is ... the secret of this hotel, he is the soul of the place, he is the man who takes care that everything is set up to the smallest detail, without any deviation. Konstantinos is the owner of this small and chic hotel, but first of all he is the friend of the traveler coming from afar. Cycladic hospitality is well-known, but Konstantinos is more than that, I would say he is really setting the bar up high... the Greek proverbial philoxenia! A cheerful and very friendly guy, always smiling and grateful, ready to solve all customers' wishes, but respectful in all his manifestations. Konstantinos tells you "Good Morning!" in your native language and he doesn’t just do it formally, but ... from the heart! He has a good word for each, makes you feel good, so you feel relaxed and ... at home! He asks you how you slept not from a professional duty, but simply because he wants you to sleep well, asks you if everything is okay, because he does not conceive of a client not being perfectly satisfied in his hotel. One day I told him I was ... angry. He looked up at me: "What happened, what upset you?" I suddenly felt him sad, so I rushed to answer: "I'm upset because ... here I find no reason for discontent!" His eyes lit up and Konstantinos laughed as only he knows how to laugh, happy because everything's just fine. But let me say a few words about the hotel also: Saint Vlassis is a name with a special meaning in Naxos’ hotels range. It suggests peace, relaxation, atmosphere and refinement, so guaranteeing a perfect vacation in the Cyclades. The hotel has a very good position in Naxos Town, and is set right on the main street of the city, 10 minutes walking to the center, but in a quiet and easily accessible area. We have chosen this hotel for its reputation, for the excellent reviews found on Tripadvisor and for the quality of service: not very often you find in a 3-star hotel such comfortable beds (mattress by Simmons), top quality cotton sheets , duck feather pillows, or Molton Brown toiletries. I was also delighted that the hotel has private parking, which is a net advantage for Naxos town. I found everything there as I expected. But I must admit that the breakfast, cleanliness and friendship of Konstantinos exceeded my expectations. Excellent hotel, bravo Konstantinos!
This was a wonderful experience from start to finish it was great. The breakfast in the morning was phenomenal such variety. The rooms are extremely comfortable. A special thanks to the staff who are brilliant and made our stay great. From the cleaners making your room brand new to the hosts all exceptional.
We booked two nights in the penthouse and two nights in the standard room and on arrival the owner kindly upgraded us so that we spent an additional night in the penthouse. The penthouse is amazing, with views across the south part of the Naxos town, the room is stunning and you have a tablet at your disposal to surf the net and to control all the features in the room. The hot tub was great too, although a minor niggle is that the water wasn't as hot as I would've liked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the standard room was really good too when we had to move out of the penthouse. We had absolutely no problem with the location of the hotel. I knew that the hotel was just outside of the main town, it was only a 15 minute walk into the centre and just under 15 minutes walk to the beach. Conveniently there is a good grill restaurant, a large supermarket and also the outdoor cinema all within 5 minutes walk. The breakfast was great, with a large selection of cooked and cold items. There were different sweet items everyday. I tried to taste a bit of everything as it all looked so appetising. Kostas, the host, was so friendly and hospitable. He was on hand every morning at breakfast time to welcome all the guests and to provide advice too. I cannot praise the hotel enough. It made our visit memorable! I would definitely try to stay here again if I ever went back to Naxos.
My wife and I spent 3 nights in the penthouse suite and we loved it! The hotel has lots of luxurious touches - lots of marble, beautiful bathrooms, high-end bath products. The penthouse suite is a big room with a huge outdoor patio with an outdoor jacuzzi tub. There's a desk, mini fridge, closet, and safe. Big breakfast spread every morning. There's plenty of parking. Kostas is a wonderful man - super friendly and helpful. He gave us some great suggestions and routes for touring the island - and his recommendations were perfect. We spent 2 days driving all around the island, exploring cool villages and ancient sites. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the main port area - it was an easy walk, and being outside of the main area meant that the area around the hotel was quiet at night. Thanks Kostas and staff for a great stay!
