We arrived and were immediately greeted by Constantine who assisted us with luggage; room; car rental and suggestions for exploring and restaurants. We also were offered coffee & food even though breakfast had ended. I advised Constantine and the woman who heads the kitchen (sorry! can't remember her name but she's lovely) that my daughter has allergies to both dairy and chocolate. By the next morning, they had an array of dairy substitutes available that were purchased just for my daughter (soy, almond & coconut milk). A great example of their professionalism, courtesy and kindness. The facility is quite nice. An extensive kitchen garden is under construction and sounds like it will be a really great addition to the menus. Bartenders, housekeepers, every hotel employee professional and friendly. As to our room: we were in cottage 80, a two bedroom with full kitchen, small living room, terraces and a lovely, good sized swimming pool. However, looking at photos of other units, it seems that ours was not quite as well decorated or appointed. Our two bedrooms were nice sizes but each bathroom had only one sink where I see some units have double. Not a deal-killer but might have requested a specific unit ahead had I known. Naxos Collection is in a quiet, pretty area as opposed to their sister hotel, Naxos on the Beach. But Collection guests are allowed to use the Beach amenities which was a nice bonus. Staff at that hotel was friendly and helpful too. One plus to the Beach property is that it is within easy walking distance of a grocery store. Useful for things like bottled water or anything forgotten. This was a fantastic place for families, couples, etc. Relatively easy to get up and down stairs although lack of railings takes getting used to. Naxos Collection is also near a town (turn left out of driveway and just follow road) with tons of restaurants; 24 laundry; pharmacy; grocery and additional beach. Wonderful property, highly recommend.
Naxian Collection is perched high on a hill over the surrounding landscape layered by sea, port, farm, and mountain. Naxian is one of those very few hotels that is truly authentic to place; walls in the welcome center made of local stone, lush plantings placed thoughtfully throughout the property, an intimate outdoor terrace centered around a large wooden table and an open hearth that is sheltered from the cycladic sun by a bamboo pergola that sometimes whistles depending on which way the wind is coming in that day. The small hotel restaurant didn’t feel like a hotel restaurant—and this is what’s so memorable about it. High quality food served comfortably in a space that doesn’t feel stuffy and set up. It was easy to enjoy the food, my wife’s company, and the beautiful landscape through the glass walls. I felt like I was home. I can’t stop thinking about the simple bread that was served. It is the best bread I’ve ever had. We will be returning.
We had a fantastic stay here, we had our own villa with private pool which was perfect. The pool wasn’t heated but it was lovely at the beginning of June, very refreshing. The general decoration of the property was great, we liked the modern style - however there were some pipes sticking out from the floor and no welcome book to give you info which is why I’m marking it as a 4 (I would have done 4 1/2 if I could!). The staff were very friendly and helped us hire a car for the day which was great! Overall we would definitely stay here again, the views are fantastic!
Our stay at Naxian collection was the highlight of our trip. My family had the most amazing time. The staff went above and beyond in every way, especially Theo who made sure all of our needs were attended to. Highly recommended for anyone traveling to Naxos! The craft cocktails from Costas were so delicious!!
This place absolutely ruined my future vacations because nothing will ever top my husband and my experience at the Naxian Collection. The grounds are pristine, the staff are extremely kind and attentive, and the villas are breathtaking. Upon walking in to our house for the trip, we were absolutely shocked by how spectacular it was. Completely re-done, the house was equipped with a private pool, large bathroom with a massive tub and waterfall shower, and finally two gorgeous balconies. My favorite balcony was attached to the master bedroom on the second floor. The views were breathtaking. This was by far one of my all time favorite trips. It truly could not have been better. We Loved the house so much we opted to stay in one evening for dinner and watch the sunset. We ordered lamb and a spaghetti frutti de mare from the hotel restaurant. It was fabulous. Top notch service. The lobby area of the hotel also has one of the largest whiskey collections from the Owner that I have ever seen. He’s even kind enough to let you try from any (for. Price of course but still amazing). I am so grateful for the amazing experience at naxian collection and hope to be back soon. It was top notch and I highly recommend!!
Such beautiful accommodations - they seemed to think of everything Fresh water and fruit ever day, luxurious bath items (including a loofah, robe and slippers). Gorgeous vistas and private and communal lounge areas. Amazing breakfast every morning with something to suit everyone. Ac. Pools. Private hot tubs. So serene. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and charming. Theo was incredibly helpful. Could not have found a better bartender than Costas.
Stayed here with some friends found the people mainly Theo to be so very helpful and friendly it really heightened our stay. The villa was very nice with the showers and private pool a perfect place to relax. O only issue is the walk to the beach and town which while only 10-15 minutes is not a very nice walk - but the place itself is amazing
We stayed at the Naxian Collection in May 2018, and loved every minute, from the moment we arrived from the tiny Naxos airport, to our meals at the hotel, and to our departure. Based on TripAdvisor reviews my wife and our two college-age kids stayed here in mid-May, which was a wonderful time of year. The staff is very caring, with really helpful suggestions, including where to visit on the island and where to dine. They arranged for the rental of a car, which made life easy. We had a villa with our own pool, and the villa was very nice and comfortable. The view from our room was spectacular. We all loved chatting with the staff, who were very friendly. We'd recommend Naxian Collection in a heartbeat for anyone visiting this magical Greek island.
We scheduled a late season Greece Island getaway and were not disappointed! The hospitality and service was such a delight! From the moment we arrived we were treated like family and any need we had was taken care of. The property is charming and I loved the serenity. The staff and the owner felt like friends by the time we left. We loved exploring Naxos from our Hotel location. The villages are a quick day trip and the beaches are nearby with a car. The food at the hotel was the best we had in our whole trip! The breakfast spread was amazing. My husband, who is Greek, mentioned a particular pastry he grew up with and the next day, it was on the buffet! The dinner they prepared for us uniquely one day was the best on the trip. It was late in the season, so the pools were cold, but the sunshine was hot and we enjoyed this immensely. One of the days we went to the beach at their sister property - Naxion on the Beach, and had use of the cabanas there. It was perfect. The only problem we expeienced was locating our rental car when we arrived, which had been organized by the hotel team. The driver had only his sign and not our name or the name of the hotel. It was resolved within reason, just a wrinkle to work out in the future. The views from the hotel are spectacular. We cannot wait to return, a little more in season.
While the room was very nice, I was disappointed in the general level of amenities and service of the hotel. We had a beautiful sweet, with the gigantic bathtub. Plenty of space to spread out and relax, including a semi private pool. The few things that were disappointing: The breakfast was surrounded by flies, and we noticed that leftovers were immediately fed to cats right in front of the breakfast area. Not exactly what I would call a classy 4 star property but fine. Just made me lose my appetite most days. Given its location, I would definitely opt to stay closer to the port next time. You need a car to get around, as the bus is not super convenient, nor is it clear exactly what schedule it’s on. The pool also wasn’t kept to the standard of cleanliness that I would’ve expected, and we were disappointed that it wasn’t heated given the chilly weather. Service was mediocre at best, and downright terrible when we encountered weather issues that resulted in cancelled ferries and us scrambling to figure out a way back to Athens. We sought help and advice from the staff, thinking that local intelligence would be helpful, but they were not. If we had listened to their advice, we would’ve missed our flights back to the US and been stranded in Naxos for another four days. Well it’s a beautiful island to be stranded on, we also didn’t want to miss the restaurant travel plans. I would definitely recommend the owner and manager of the property take a good hard look at what for star service means in comparable locations.
