Our room in this small old fashioned style hotel was clean, traditionally furnished with a very comfortable bed and the overhead shower was o.k.The five euro breakfast was o.k and the reception staff were pleasant enough and helpful. We had no complaints during our one nights stay and was better than we had expected.
Booked the top floor 2 room apartment for us - my wife, 12 year old daughter and me. Was overall happy with the service but I think I would have stayed some place else if done some more research. So may be 3 stars a bit harsh, may be my expectations were different. What didn’t work for me - - top floor rooms are very very small - if you are looking at spacious rooms for family then this is not the place. In fact pvt balcony/terrace bigger than the room - one bathroom again small - top floor no elevator - 2nd room with sofa bed and not full bed for your kid - not in the old town or near the port road so walking up and down for everything - close to st George beach but not beach facing. For us water was very cold so couldn’t go for swimming as expected. Beach too not the best beach What I liked - Good response and service from the owner/staff - nice breakfast with decent spread So in a nut shell could have found better place at same price much closer to old town as beach didn’t turn out to be our star attraction
Your own semi private oasis with a large terrace separated by lattice and plants, for the two top floor suites. Even if you are a single or couple, I would reserve one of these rooms as it would be totally worth it. The views are Beautific!!! The staff are very welcoming with homemade liquors and candies offered upon arrival. They provided excellent recommendations as well. This place was like staying at a wealthy grandma’s place on a heavenly beach-just very sweet!
We stayed for two nights in a beautiful terrace room and loved it. The view from the terrace was amazing and felt like our own private getaway. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. It was fantastic for a family of 3.
We stayed here for a week. Although rooms are small we found it very comfortable. Had our own balcony. Great location short walk to St George’s Beach and the waterfront main shopping, restaurant precinct. Also short walk to Apollo’s Gate. We ate at the local tavernas on the beachfront and all were good. Christos at Reception was extremely helpful and informative. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is very nice and very clean. The customer service is incredible and very helpful. We loved the place and the neighborhood.the place is next to the beach and the town. We really recommend the place. Thank you for having us.
I booked this hotel on bookings.com as the reviews were all very good and to be fair i left it late! We were Greek island hopping! I can honestly say that Naxos itself was one of our favourite places! We were a 10 minute walk from the port (20 minutes with our 4 huge suitcases!). Got off the ferry and using google maps decided we could walk this! The hotel was very close to the town centre and even better only 2 minutes from St George’s Beach. The hotel was very clean but I had foolishly on bookings.com had booked a Triple room for 4 people! Didn’t realise it was possible! They kindly put a 4th bed in the room and the room was somewhat tight with a small strange facing balcony. The bathroom was very small and I’m so very pleased I didn’t bring our cat! The staff made the visit fabulous and were all related and so very friendly! Naxos town was brilliant. Something for everyone! St George’s beach was also fabulous! Found a lovely little establishment for breakfast on the beach (mummy’s second mistake was I hadn’t booked breakfast with the room!). On our last day the owner said we could have breakfast on him and wow wish I had booked it everyday as it was delicious and beautifully put out. The only problem with this hotel was our bed was like rock! They very kindly 2 nights in provided a mattress topper but this was very thin! You don’t need a pool because the beach is so close. We will definitely try this hotel again because it’s hard to find such friendly staff who really want to make your stay special. I’ll let my husband book it next time just so I don’t make the same mistake again with the room. :-)
This is a great place to stay. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Helped us with luggage up the stairs. Arranged laundry and a hire car. Nothing was too much trouble. About a 15 minute stroll from the port. 2 minute stroll to St George’s beach (& good tavernas)!Fantastic. The only thing is it is getting a bit tired and need a good clean and paint. After reading other reviews we booked a top floor with 4 beds as we wanted the deck. The deck was huge with table and chairs. A great stay overall.
Had a wonderful 4 night stay in this budget hotel. Location was perfect, right next to to the beach, about 50 meters from a supermarket and a short walk into town. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times, the room was lovely and the bed very comfy. Would 100% reccomend to anybody
We felt this was a little expensive for the room we had. It was however clean, comfortable, and the air con efficient. Breakfast was a simple and basic affair but quite adequate. We were picked up from the ferry port, which is a short distance (700 meters as the crow flies ) from the hotel, this was arranged and paid for by the hotel. The return journey was again arranged by the hotel, but this time we paid, but felt we were ripped off by the taxi driver. Shame, not normal for the islands. Not sure we would return to this one though, the room we had was a little tired...
