As we live locally, we dine in their Element Restaurant periodically. Their Business is very good value for money, (EUR 6 pp) good selection of salads as starters, two soups, three main courses, and an interesting cake. The only problem is that the hot food is NOT HOT! The evening meals are good but overprices.

Room very basic for the price we paid. Have stayed in hostels that were more comfortable. Shower door broken. Staff sullen and unwelcoming. No tea making facilities in room yet when we tried to purchase a cup of tea in the morning, we were told by staff we could not, unless we bought breakfast.

The hotel is very clean, but the quality and standard of the hotel is probably more like a 2* hotel rather than a 3* one. We jokingly described it as "concrete Eastern Block, with a hint of Ikea!!". When reading previous reviews, I thought that the location sounded ok, but in reality you are a 25 minute walk away from the city centre, walking through some areas we would not do at night as they felt so unsafe. It is very much uphill on the way back, so if you do have some mobility issues, this would not be good. To get a taxi from the city centre we found varied between €3.50 to €10 per trip, but the average was €5 per trip, so when you add this to the cost of the rooms, you could probably afford a better hotel closer to the centre. The breakfast was ok, but limited. Again, after reading other reviews I thought it would be good, but in reality it was very meagre and didn't offer much variety, but I must say what they did have was decent quality. At an additional €5 per person, we thought it ok, but not as brilliant as other reviewers have stated. Key tip 1: All the rooms have laminate flooring, so at 5am on the first morning it sounded like some one dancing in clogs near us!! If you are a light sleeper, you will need ear plugs! Key tip 2: Take your own shower gel and shampoo. There is some provided, but to be honest, it didn't have a very nice aroma at all (bordering on unpleasant to be honest), so we had to buy some from a shop. Key tip 3: There is a full-size domestic fridge in each room, it has nothing in, and is way too big for the room, and makes a lot of noise in the night. Either unplug it or wear the ear plugs suggested in tip 1. On the positive side, the staff were really friendly, and the wifi was excellent, but overall these two positives weren't quite enough for us.

The rooms are very basic and unless you are out and about you will regret coming here. Having said that they are fine for city visits. The restaurant is great and almost from a different hotel. Overall good value for money

The hotel situated quite in the center. It is usual 3 stars hotel, nothing special but comfortable an clean. If you don't need luxury this your possibility. Enjoy the nice walk form the hotel to the old city. Suitable for families as well.

Stayed 3 nights in the hotel. There is default no telephone in the rooms. Asked 3 mornings to be woken up, but only 1 time successful (or too late or not at all the other 2 times), they had to knock on the door. One day the room was not cleaned. One day my entry magnetic card was disabled, where it should not be and had to be enabled again. Putting e.g. drinks at the bar on your hotel bill is not possible. All together it did not really give the impression of a regular hotel regarding possibilities. In the room one could also hear quite a lot of traffic noise (despite double glass, being on the 3rd floor and closed curtains), the room had a view on the busy street below.

We visited for the Scotland match. The hotel is modern, clean and in a good location. The staff were very nice. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold foods including meats, breads, cheeses. At €45 for 2 nights I couldn't ask for much better. The rooms are a little basic but this hotel is perfect as somewhere to hang your hat.

We arrived close to midnight and got a smal twin room, with a bathroom that was dirty and smelled sewer. The hotel was fully booked, so we could change rooms only after one night. The next room we got was ok, but had no airconditioning, which we had requested on booking. They then explained, that there air conditioning only in the superior rooms, but we couldn't stay there, because we had dogs with us. The young girls at the reception were very friendly and tried their best to make things ok, but.... There was free parking on the dark back yard, were homeless people were also sleeping during the night. The breakfast had a limited assortment, but everything was fresh.

Cons: very noisy - loud garbage trucks in the courtyard woke me up twice in the middle of the night (around 3 am and then again around 5 am). On top of that, some people were grilling a barbeque nearby with unpleasant smells filling the room. Pros: location. The hotel is located 15 min walking distance from the old town, 5 min to a 24/7 supermarket, there is a bus going directly to airport right outside the hotel. The price is reasonable, breakfast was good and staff was nice. It is unfortunate that it is so noisy at night, sleep and rest is very important to me, therefore I would not come back.

I liked front desk and lobby what was a great example of minimalism. Unfortunately I wasn't excited to have it in my room. It remained me a hospital - everything white with no decoration. But, breakfast was a beautiful an colourful explosion what was made by diverse food (vegetables, fruits, juices...). Overall I a am satisfied with my stay because I slept very well. :)
