Once in the King Suite, a large room with plenty of space. Comfortable enough to have people stop by and visit. We felt right at home! The two Queen room was a little tighter, but we only needed it for 2 days and weren't in it much, so not a big deal. The breakfast both times was delicious and fresh! The staff was always friendly and asked if we needed anything. We will be back!

Good hotel located right where we wanted near the historic district, with clean, quiet rooms. I rated this with four stars rather than five for two reasons: it was a little pricey (granted, we stayed there during a busy tourist season), and once again Holiday Inn failed to deliver on the promise of connecting rooms -- a constant struggle with this hotel chain.

We walked in and were greeted by the friendliest front desk clerk. The young man's name was Cedric, and he welcomed us with a smile and talked to us like he knew us. I asked him for a visitor's guide, expecting him to just hand me one. Instead, he opened it to the map page and marked the hotel's location. Then he offered us some suggestions for area restaurants. What a nice young man! We did not see him again during our stay, unfortunately. We stay often at HIE, and this one was much like the others. Our only complaint is that the bottom of the tub was very slick, so much so that we were nervous about slipping. The tub needs a mat or textured bottom. Other than that, our stay was fine.

The first room offered was directly above the front door of the lobby, where cars (and a bus) drive up to check in. It was on the second floor. The manager said that there were no other rooms (at first) and suggested we turn on the fan. We did that (the manager had to come up and plug it in to get it working, because apparently housekeeping unplugged it, or so she claimed -- seemed to have happened before). But then the noise from its fan was loud. The worst part in that room, though, was the connecting door. We could hear everything from the other side, and even I thought it was disturbing. We were considering checking out and going looking for something else at that point and it was so bad that we were even thinking about taking the loss of our payment. So my husband went back downstairs and talked to the manager again and she (surprise?) found us another room. This second room was on the ninth floor and faced the opposite direction, into the casino/hotel next door. But the bathroom vent had a constant high-pitched noise, like it was picking up noise from some machine or system. It was still audible with the bathroom door closed, but not as bad. I think that was room 907, so avoid. Other than that, the room was okay. Bed was okay, pillows were too bulky for comfort. Ordinary, which was all we really were looking for.

Located on Canal street, in front of the Information Center. It is preferable to take the car to visit the historic district and to go to restaurants. Price is good, breakfast too. Lot of parking places. Unfortunately, wall insulation is poor: we heard noise coming from next door room and from the corridor.

We usually do the B&B thing while in Natchez, but with the start of Spring Pilgrimage, our regular places were booked so we chose the only thing available. We were delighted with our choice. The hotel staff was super friendly and attentive. Cedric at the desk made us feel like being at home and Neesha on the housekeeping staff always asked if we needed anything. Everyone said good morning and good afternoon when you passed by. There are no river views, but that didn't matter to us. The property was exceptionally clean, smelled nice, and was very quiet, at least on our floor. We had the room next to the elevator and we never heard a sound. Bed was comfortable and the pillows great. Breakfast is your typical fare, but the staff never let anything get cold or dried out before replacing it. It's close enough to downtown attractions for those in for a good walk. It's right across the street from the Visitor's Center as well.

At last, an HIE that one can rave about. The staff is friendly, the welcome warm-- fresh Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and, starting at 17:30, 2 free beers to go with the hot dogs made ready in the breakfast area. Our room, with its two comfortable queen size beds and couch and coffee table, was huge. There was a kitchen sink to go with the usual microwave and frig, and even the odd cereal bowl. The whole was spotless and, for once, we didn't have to remove the toilet roll from the dispenser. The bathtub was slick, but maintenance swore that it would acid wash the surface after we checked out. Hope so, cause as is the tub is an accident waiting to happen, and these fine folks do not deserve that headache.

We recently stayed here over Mardi Gras weekend, friendly staff, clean and quiet room at the end of the hall. We walked the 3-4 blocks into downtown to catch the parade on Friday night and eventually returned to the hotel later via the complimentary casino shuttle. The walk was enjoyable and fairly quiet and we stopped to look at the river overlook at Fort Rosalie along the route. Definitely recommend and will stay again if back in the area.

We stayed there during New Years. The hotel was spotless. People in room above us must have had children. They made a lot of noise. The heat in our room malfunctioned in the middle of the night. The lady from the front desk came up and tried to fix it. She offered to move us to another room. I will stay there again.

Great hotel, clean and comfy with friendly staff - our issue was the room - although really clean and comfortable it was beside/opposite the air conditioning cupboard and all night you got a loud hum and noise from the units for (I can only assume) the whole floor or hotel this disturbed my sleep which was a shame also this was a “feature” room - not sure what that meant - it cost more but was obviously in the wrong place
