Wonderful stay! Strongly endorse a stay at Apartment in the Trees in Narbonne France!We stayed in this absolutely beautiful apartment in Narbonne. The apartment is thoughtfully remodeled in a Haussmann style (made famous in Paris). The living space was roomy and spotlessly clean. The living room has lovely light and double French doors that can be opened onto the balcony.We really liked the balcony of the apartment, with a very nice view of the Canal Midi. Sitting outside in the morning (with coffee) or afternoon (with another beverage) was really pleasant.The apartment is a short 10- minute, peaceful walk along the Canal Midi to the beautiful Les Halles food market, canal side promenade, and very nice old town square of Narbonne. The apartment was well appointed. Check in was easy as the owner, Mattieu, met us personally and showed us around the apartment. The apartment is in a clean, quiet, and secure building. An added bonus was that parking was free and right next to the building.In addition to being a nice, small city with excellent restaurants in its own right, Narbonne also is a convenient base to other areas of interest, such as the wine region towards the Narbonne beach, the medieval city of Carcassone, the Mediteranian seaside city of Sete, and several interesting medieval hillside cities.Being able to come "home" to the lovely apartment after a day in Narbonne or day trip was a real treat.We highly recommend the Apartment in the trees VRBO!
