The hotel is not as ideal as it's name says. It's main advantage is location - closeness to the train station and newly built metro station. There is no wi-fi in the rooms. Our room was located on the third (or second) floor were some reconstruction works were being done, but we were not informed about this inconvenience. Another floor we're breakfast was served seems to be in a better condition. A foot of folding bed of one of us was unfolded several times during the night, so we escaped falling down by chance. In total the hotel is OK if low price and vicinity to the train station matters for you.
The hotel ideal is an old hotel in a good location for transit as it is built above all the main train and metro routes. The hotel is in the middle of being completely rebuilt and the new rooms are very modern. There was no lift and a temporary restaurant at the time due to the refurbishment but the cold buffet for breakfast was really good. We were only in Naples for one night before flying out so did not see much of the sights but would NOT recommend walking down to the port area as the streets on the way are not family friendly. I am sure Naples has many attractions and sights to see in the other direction but did not have to sho will come back again. Once the hotel ideal is finished it will be a nice modern hotel and it is very cheap.
The Hotel is not four star but it was always clean even though they are doing refurbishments. We always found the room clean and clean towels were left daily. The breakfast was very good. The location is ideal as it is close to the underground and stations,
If you want stress free, do not stay here! We had 4 heavy suitcases, there was no lift and we were staying on 2nd floor! No assistance was offered to us to take these heavy cases up, it looks like a shanty town inside, there was loud drilling all day, just rubbish!
Rooms are to small. Major construction right outside the rooms, no hot water for the shower and wifi didnt work either.Hotel has no lift !!!!!only the location is really good ( about 150 meters from the train station and 50 meters from the metro).
The hotel is very basic but all we wanted was a cheap B&B type place. The room was recently refurbished to a basic but satisfactory level however most of the hotel is old and neglected, and you can hear almost anything happening on the same corridor. Breakfast was basic ham/cheese, bread rolls, cereal and croissants although they were often flat as though squashed. There is Tea, coffee and juice also available but overall it was an acceptable light breakfast to start the day. For anyone wanting a cheap basic no frills hotel then it is what it says on the tin. Outside there are a couple of half decent restaurants, fast food bars, chemist and a bank with a handful of supermarkets in the streets to the rear. Anyone with bad legs or a disability you should probably look elsewhere as the stairs are steep and there's no lift. If your a light sleeper then this is definitely not the place for you as the hotel is just 100 yds from a really busy square with crazy drivers and the constant whine of police sirens and ambulances 24/7. Should you look out the window in the night it's a sea of migrants sleeping rough on cardboard on the pedestrianised piazza. Whilst for us the hotel was just for bed and breakfast and our room was acceptable I wouldn't consider it again. After our visit to Naples we wish we had gone to Sorrento an hour away, Naples is horrible, dirty and full of migrants.
From the reviews I didn’t expect an up-market hotel but what we found was appalling: probably the worst stay I’ve had in a European hotel. We arrived around 2200 and were taken to a room that was quite obviously undergoing renovation. The main and bathroom door frames were missing, the air conditioning unit had not been fitted – pipes and wires were hanging out of the wall – there was no handle on the door to the bathroom (just holes where it should have been), all bathroom wall fitting – towel pegs, loo roll holder, soap tray – were missing (but there were holes drilled where they should have been) and the toilet didn’t have a seat. We were obviously the last arrivals and had drawn the short straw. We were advised that no other rooms were available in this or other hotels in the vicinity. What could we do? We dropped our bags, met our friends and then had an appalling night on one of the hardest beds I’ve experienced anywhere. Breakfast the next day was chaotic. There weren’t enough tables for the guest (or even ¼ of them), as tables were vacated they weren’t cleared, cutlery and crockery was unavailable and being washed up slowly, supplies of bread rolls and yoghurt had run out by 0830 (breakfast from 0715 to 1020!!) and the layout of the bar/breakfast food room led to queues and aggravation. When I complained, I was informed that no refund or discount was possible because the booking was through Booking.com. I said this was unacceptable and warned the manager I intended using the Internet to broadcast extensive bad reviews of the hotel. Later that evening, one of the managers came to our room and offered a €50 refund. I was unable to accept at the time because I was ill; when I went to reception on departure I reminded the duty manager of the promise. I was told the manager would be reminded. Seven days later there has been no refund.
Room was clean, modern, simple but don't keep notice out, we could hear people in their rooms from 5 doors down. Building work was being done so it was very noisy and cluttered with building tools and plaster board. Breakfast was simple and nice, average choice. Location was good, next to train station, 30 minuits walk to Port and Alibus shuttle ( port, train station and airport) bus stop right outside hotel. Area is crowded, loud and scary at night time.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone. The room we first got was very dated and over all dirty. A huge disappointment. The shower curtain was disgusting and big chunks of dirt started to fall of it when showering. I came from the shower dirtier than i was before.. The whole bathroom gave us chills. We had to ask for another room and they bluntly told us the hotel is fully booked. They were fine with the fact that their hotelguests can not take a shower. We were told that it might Be possible to change rooms the following Day as we were going to stay for two nights. When we were about to go to sleep we noticed begbugs starting to come out from the little holes from the wall. We took pictures and were able to convince the reception staff that we can not stay. We got a fully renovaded room from another floor. The room did smell bad but was clean. The next morning we noticed that we might have forgotten a pair of shoes on the bedbug-room and asked the staff to check. They told us the room was with guests already! Unbelievable..
+ The room obviously have been recently renovated - looks fresh and all the sanitary equipment is modern + Delicious classic Italian breakfast, tasty croissants, juces, jams. + Location + Stuff is quite friendly + Absolutely perfect value for money! Adorable, clean and charming hotel for the hostel-price. - Only room size could be bigger but there are a lot of bigger rooms of higher category in the hotel. For us it was not a point as we stayed for 3 nights only.
