The hotel room was clean, nice and looked exactly same like on photos. Breakfast was bad but we knew it when we booked hotel. If you want a coffee or tea for breakfast, you have to go to the reception and say about it to reception guy and he will make a coffee/tea for you. Staff were friendly. There is some parking places but sometimes they were full. We went to say about it to the reception and they fixed it.
Came here not out of choice but because it was nearest hotel to the hospital where father in law was taken too. If you want a nights sleep then this is not the hotel for you. It seems to attract selfish idiots who bang hotel doors most of the night. When they are not doing that they shout loudly till all hours at the tops of their voices in the rooms. When that's finished they go up to the roof to drink vodka more shouting and let off fireworks till the early hours. Once they are tired of that they stamp back downstairs, kicking over flower stands and throwing heavy keys, yes this hotel still has a key locks on the rooms. So if you do manage to get up early enough after being kept awake all night you'll be treated to the laughable breakfast cuisine. Small coffee, water, or sugery fruit juice, croissant and Nutella. Only when there are a few more guests will you have meat or an extra such as a small pot of plain yoghurt. The good points, wifi that allows streaming, closeness to the hospital if you have the misfortune to have a sick relative taken there. Anything else including temperamental lift, dodgy location, guests this hotel attracts, friendliness of staff forget it. We have never stayed in such a noisey unfriendly hotel. Oh and check the football fixtures as our hotel may be used as a billet for the visiting away fans who enjoy a bit of banter with the locals and the riot police who will turn up to brighten up the square with blue flashing lights. Avoid this place unless you look forward to any of the above.
Hotel was comfortable, quite basic but we stayed only 2 nights and were only there to sleep. Hotel was clean and staff were helpful. Breakfast was very basic ! Found the location a walk to the main town but was possible to walk, 25 minutes.
we searched for basic and cheap hotel for one night, the room was big but not clean and neglected. there is a free parking. i am not recommending to stay in this hotel although the free parking and the cheap price. the hotel is also far from the center
Unfortunately I had to rush out to Italy as my father was taken off or a cruise ship unwell , I had to act quick with flights and accommodation , next to the hospital was a hotel called hotel diamond , I saw of trip advisor that it was cheap and the closet and everything else didn't bother me I just had to get out here . In Napoli I have realised know one here speaks a word of English , it's been very difficult communicating with Italians but the hotel was in fact perfect , a great location perfect 4 min walk to the hospital and very responsibly priced , my room was clean the bathroom was clean and the bed was comfy , what more did I need ?? The staff where very friendly and tried in every way to try and understand me and make me understand them , in fact everyone in Naples has been amazing very friendly and helpful , the airport is only a 10 mins ride away but the area is not what I'm used to , there is no luxury it's vey basic everywhere so do not expect much . The breakfast at the hotel honestly is terrible , you have to get down there early to get anything or what's left is not great . If you have to come here and want somewhere cheap and cheerful this is perfect for you , a great pizza restaurant next door , very friendly great food and again lovely people , but not a word of English , communicating was a very major thing it was impossible . Let's just hope you never have to go to the hospital here , I can't even begin with the facilities it make London with the NHS amazing and how lucky we are . Beds in halls people on floor and no care for patients it's been a trip to remember for all different reasons but hotel diamond was just that a real diamond in the rough , Hope this helps
Location is so and so. Breakfast is not the best. But staff are great. Rooms are ok with a nice balcony and a ver good ac. The corridors are a bit dodgy as u tend to get lost very easily. Parking in front of the hotel is not very easy. But all in all a good experience and a good value for money.
The hotel is nice. I hope they have hot water I haven't showered yet. They really aren't multilingual but friendly. The area and it looks like Naples itself is a dump from coming from Rome hopefully a trip to Pompeii will make me forget the rest
Definitely not a diamond in the naples rough!! The picures of the hotel make it look very nice... however i found the rooms not to be that nice. My first issue was with the air conditioning. I had to wait a long time to get assistance with this as the room was ice cold. In the end after a lot of wasted time i was able to move rooms. I had to leave the hotel at 8am sharp. Unfortunately i had no hot water for a shower. When i called the desk I was told they had to switch it on and wait ten minutes. After 15 i called back and was told to keep waiting.. After 25 minutes i was told there was no more that could be done. So i had to have a quick cold wash and leave.. I was promised a refund or some money back but now the hotel ignore my request and emails. I expect in 2013 a hotel with hot running water. I asked the front desk to come and have a look at the water in the room but they declined only to send me an email 10 minutes after i left to say they checked when i left and it was hot.. For the price i have stayed in better hostels and a quarter of the price. I also saw a guy bringing back a 'lady of the night' after tipping the consierge
I had read some mixed reviews and was a bit nervous, but I was booking late, so I didn't have many options in Napoli in my budget range. I arrived and learned the hotel is under new management since early 2013. I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE! The lobby and all the rooms are newly remodeled and pleasantly furnished and SPACIOUS! The two gentlemen who work the 24-hour reception desk were so friendly and considerate and helpful. I was really surprised (since I'm used to more gruff service in Italian hotels). The cleaning staff were also very nice. The hotel was clean, modern, comfortable, and spacious. All new and working amenities: shower, bidet, A/C, desk. ONE NOTE: The wifi only reliably works in the lobby and is spotty depending on your room. They told me they are working on improvements. But there is for sure wired internet available in each room at least. The area is downtown Napoli near the train station, and I was a bit worried about that as I don't know the town well. I felt perfectly safe in the daytime and still generally okay at night, no different than any other downtown big city area at night. It is really convenient to walk to the train station or drive to the port or freeways. Also walkable to the tourist sites. Breakfast was decent and the espresso was delicious! Parking is right on-site at the front door of the hotel and the 24-hour reception keeps an eye on it. This hotel is an incredible value.
