Beds are super comfy. Breakfast is delicious. Staff is amazing. Only thing is the location is near a university, so there is a lot of parity going on down the street. Which you walk through to get to hotel. There are no onsite laundry facilities.
second night woke up 3 times after midnight with noise from other quests , staff should have called them but did'nt
The hotel is hidden away in an alley but very nice once inside. There are a couple of Decumani hotels in Naples so make sure the taxi driver knows that it is the De Charme.
Good location. Staff very helpful. Clean and comfortable.
Good hotel ,excellent staff, good location in walking distance to all attractions.
Nice hotel but you need to ask for a room away from the front of the hotel and street. There are a lot of bars on the street and they party all night. The breakfast was nice and a treat in the morning. Very clean and the staff was helpful. This area of the city is old and has not been restored like other areas of Naples.
Overall, it was just an ok experience. Staff were friendly but not very helpful.
Friendly staff in a beautifully renovated hotel. Location is not for the faint of heart, deep in the heart of the historic quarter. Great if you would like to feel the pulse of the city.
vacation breakfast was bad worse
The hotel was lovely, with a very nice breakfast, but in a questionable neighborhood. Then again, I think all of Naples is questionable. The entry to the hotel was very, very run down, but once we got to the second floor an entire new world emerged. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful
When the taxi drove us to the hotel I was really worried. Naples is the dirtiest city I have ever seen with trash on the streets and the buildings covered with graffiti. The Hotel was on the second story of a very old building down a narrow street, scary. But when we got up to the stairs to the Hotel it was great, newly redone and very nice. The Hotel staff was very friendly and spoke English. The breakfast was good, and the WiFi was free and worked. I don't have any desire to go back to Naples, but I recommend the Hotel as a good place to stay.
We were only there for one night, but it was definitely memorable, thanks to the hotel and its staff. Naples as a city can be slightly unsettling, but the ambience and friendliness here really helped put us at ease. It's also in a very safe neighborhood. Had a little trouble finding it (first cabbie dropped us off at the wrong Decumani hotel, and the second one couldn't find the street) but once we made it in it was smooth sailing. It does really feel like you are in a palace, and the front desk staff was the warmest and friendliest we experienced in Italy. They recommended a great restaurant right around the corner for dinner, and even helped us plan our itinerary for Capri the next day. Not sure if we'll ever go back to Naples, but if we do we'd definitely stay here again.
