the hotel was hard to find,in a dark graffittti covered area ,bed rockhard,no sleep as smokealarm flashed all night,air-con freezing, mould round the bath, plug was stuck so had a shower standing in water. ,it needed a good clean. When we went out told reception about the plug, when we got back the water had been let out leaving scum all round the bath and dirty towels on the floor.Wouldn't recommend staying.

We found the hotel to be pleasant, comfortable and conveniently located not far from places to eat and the train station. The staff was helpful in every way. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. The room was clean and rather large. The hotel was located on a very small square sort of in the back area, but our taxi driver had no problem finding it.

This hotel is located in a great location. Close to all the attractions of the old town. Also near a stop for the Hop On Hop Off bus. Large rooms. Comfortable beds and air conditioned. Reception staff very helpful However while breakfast is included in the price the staff really do need to improve their service. Not sure why there were never knives on the table. Each morning we needed to ask for these. Staff never seemed ready for the 7.30 breakfast start. Breakfast room itself was delightful.

This hotel has a great location, right in the old historic centre of town, near to the atmospheric Spaccanopoli street. Set in a 17th century former bishop's palace, the hotel has a charming decor and ambience, and the breakfast room is in a stunning former ballroom. There is a great choice for breakfast, including bacon and hot baked beans! It was a delight to return to my air conditioned room after the heat of Naples.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel that is beautifully resrored with fine detail. The breakfasts were a delicious way to start the day and they were served in what was once the Cardinal's room which was an experience itself. What was the highliggt was the area it was situated, in the bistoric area close to tge university and also a short walk to the port, the area was alive with culture and slights. The staff's care and attention was life saving when i dropped my phone in the taxi on my way back to the train station adter we checked out. The staff organised with the taxi service the return of my phone and organused a courier to return it back to me in Dubai. I am very grateful for their service and attention in what could have been a very stressful situation. I would highly recommend this hotel for anybody visiting Naples!

We stayed at the Decumani Hotel De Charme 21st to 28th July. Our room (103) was spacious and clean if somewhat quaint with old style furniture but was more than adequate to for us to completely unpack. The toilet facilities were adequate however the spacious shower was difficult to control and on some mornings, took a while for hot water to come through, a new shower head would not go amiss. Some might find the bed a little firm however this did not affect our sleep nor did the noise from the surrounding streets with students making merry to the early hours. Every day the room was made up to a high standard and our maid ensured we had clean towels and toiletries. One minor criticism was that our wall safe actually came out of the wall having been damaged by a previous occupant the staff were aware and assured us it would be repaired – it wasn’t - that said the concierge staff were happy to store our valuables in the hotel safe. The continental style breakfast was served in the historic dining room with a good mix of the usual meats, cheese, cakes etc… For those preferring a cooked breakfast there was scrambled egg, bacon and baked beans. The hotel is centrally located and most of the historic sites are within easy walking distance. That said take sensible shoes the streets are not maintained to a particularly high standard. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and overall, we enjoyed our stay. PS For those who enjoy an ad hoc cuppa take a travel kettle and do take a day trip to Sorrento.

We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms when we arrived. The staff were attentive and polite. The room came with air con - thank goodness as it was ridiculous degrees outside. The breakfast room is beautiful and the spread was diverse and delicious. The hotel was happy for us to leave the bags with then after we checked out as we had a few hours until our train. We enjoyed the hotel so much we are going back in a couple of weeks at the end of our trip.

This is an ideally situated pied a terre, centrally located in the old quarter of Naples minutes' walk from many sights of tourist interest. The rooms are basic, tidy, with no frills, but with reassuringly clean linen and towels. Toilet/shower also cleaned and provisioned daily. Air con must be requested at reception, though my idea of cool is several degrees lower than what a Neapolitan might imagine. The European buffet style breakfast involves no cooked stuff, but is perfectly adequate and tasty. It provides a great start to your Naples day, eaten in the extra special and ornate great hall which adds something special to the whole trip.

It's more 3 than 4 stars, although the breakfast room is well worth seeing. The stuff is friendly and helpful, especially at the breakfast. The place has been refurbished lately, but they skimped on the bathroom: there is mildew on the wall, the toilet flush can hardly be stopped at times, the mounting is corroded. The camp bed for our daughter was shaky and there is only impractical furniture for your belongings. After our complaints they changed the camp bed and put some colour on the mildew but could not repair the toilet. The courtyard that our window led to was noisy and run-down. The blanket on our bed was stained and had a hole. In the first morning my wife woke up with some pustules, hopefully they came from mosquitoes.

Located in the center of Naples. The personnel is readily helpful and Very nice and friendly. Very good breakfast, with a good blend of Italian and international food. The rooms are nice and the A/C is working!
