This hotel is clean and has friendly staff. It was hard to find at first since there wasn't a sign that led you there from the main street of Via Chiaia. It's rooms are dated but its charming. It's a nice refuge from the other streets of Naples that are dirty and unsafe.
My cousin and I were very pleased with our room ( breakfast included). The staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was convenient for souvenir shopping and on a well-travelled street.
We stayed here two days and the location was perfect, the room was clean big and a great bathroom, cleaning every day and the breakfast was a real treat, thanks again i will certainly come again for business. i felt very secure and the hotel was very quiet
The rooms are quite small, but clean and comfortable. The staff is very kind and the hotel location is perfect for a stay in the very center of Naples. I would definitely recommend the Chiaia Hotel to anyone.
This is located on a safe pedestrian street. Many restaurants, cafes and shops just outside the door. About a 10 minute walk to the Metro on Toledo. Our room faced the street and so there was street noise. We were there when it was cold so our balcony door was shut and the noise was not too bad. It is very difficult to find, not well marked in a courtyard off the street. We finally went into a store to ask where the entrance was. The bed was old and uncomfortable. A bit like a college dorm or camp mattress and the sheets were quite scratchy. The drain in the sink did not lift up on its own to drain the water. There was leftover food in our mini fridge that was moldy and smelly. They offer a complimentary breakfast which was average. Our room was quite close to the lobby and so we heard quite a bit of noise as people came and went. I requested another room the next day but was told that the noise was due to a group of young people who had just checked out and so she did not move us. Unfortunately, while the noise was never as bad as that first night we were still disturbed by the noise of the lobby and hallway. Water pressure in the shower was quite strong but when turned up resulted in soaking the bathroom floor. There was a nice tray of complimentary pastries or appetizers in the lobby in the evenings which I thought was a nice touch. Also, one of us needed to stay much later in the afternoon on our departure day and the hotel was kind enough to let him stay in his room well after check out time. This is very unusual and was very much appreciated. However, overall I was disappointed with the hotel. We were there 3 nights and had 2 rooms in March.
The Hotel is in an excellent position to explore the city of Napoli. The staff made us very welcome, it is clean and comfortable. There is a wonderful history behind the hotel. There many restaurants nearby and we felt very safe.
Ideal location for many of the sites and close to public transport including airport bus. Lots of good places to eat or for an aperatif close by. The hotel is a bit quirky and set above shops in busy pedestrian shopping area. Our room was very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast. The courtyard doors to the street are locked when the shops are closed but staff always opened door promptly. Would happily go back there again and there is still so much to see in Naples and around.
The Chiaja is in a perfect location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. It has one of the strangest entrances you will ever find. I won't give it away but finding the front desk is an adventure in itself. This hotel is highly recommended.
The room was located on the first floor overlooking a side road that had restaurants so some noise. Did not bother us but it might some. No bath tub, shower a little tight but water hot and room spotless. Friendly staff, helpful with eating recommendations. Excellent fresh breakfast with an 07.30 strat which suited us for trips and walking around Naples. We slept well.
The Hotel Chiaja De Charme is located in a strategic position. At the beginning of an area without car traffic, near to very good taverns, this hotel is barycentric between the historical Greco-Roman area and the seaside. The rooms are very clean but the special asset of this hotel is the extraordinary courtesy of its numerous personnel. If you do not come back too late in the evening, near the reception you will be welcomed by a tray of typical Neapolitan pastries. Among many lights only a single shadow: the drains in the bathrooms make a lot of noise. So, this private activity is somehow shared with neighbouring guests.
