Positive things: - Comfortable bed - You can dark your room as much as you can with the blinds. Not so positive things: - It's not a hotel, so they don't clean your room or change your towels (or provide toilet paper) daily. - Breakfast is basic. Luckily there is a veeery nice bakery just in front, and a Carrefour round the corner. Negative things: - Cleaning is bad. There was an old very used piece of soap at the shower, that was quite disgusting. I also found some of those short hairs that you don't need to find in a room. - There was also dust in the room. - The fabric of the two chairs and the sofa-bed was terribly dirty, I didn't sit down or put anything on them. - There was something broken at the window and instead of fixing it, they had put some pieces of paper to avoid the air to come into the room. The staff of the front desk are quite smily and nice. At least... But I'll try to avoid being there again.
A very good place to stay for a short trip to Nantes. We were in a Duplex apt. Well fitted out. Basic. But note no hairdryer. Not sure if we could have got one at reception but we were there at weekend. The Navette from Airport stop is 2 mins away. Le Lieu Unique stop. €8.50 single trip. All places to see nearby. Carrefour city is just around the corner which is very handy. And there is a lovely Boulangerie opposite. A great sign is there is a constant queue with locals there. Open early morning
This place was pretty ordinary both inside and out. However, I will have to say that my bed was comfortable, so I can't complain too much - the bed is usually the problem in most hotels. But the bathroom was soo old that it was surprising anything worked. Walls were quite thin and it has the most bizarre locks on the room doors. It is fine as an overnighter, ideally located very close to a supermarket (which I always find is handy) and close to train.
This hotel is well located - close to the train station and the castle. It also has parking available. The room was very nice with a kitchen, living room and bedroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Room was nice, large and clean - handy having a sink unit, hot plates and microwave (although I didnt use them) stayed a week and was just left to myself, no one looked in during that time which was ok as i didnt need anything - no AC was a bit inconvenient as it was up in the 30's for most of my stay
Great hotel you on apartment cheap price it clean and very close to train bus and city centre and has a great brakery down stair would stay again. Only down side of the place is that the Web site say the staff all speck good English which they didn't speak at all only one or 2 but not really brother me that much they had a breakfast contenal one but one say it free other say it 8 euro so found it cheaper to go to the shop downstairs a get breakfast there for 4 euro and no do not distribute sign as cleaner that only come 2 a week on Web site came in everyday with out knocking
I entered Residhome in Nantes and was greated with a very friendly welcome. The staff speak good English and were very helpful. The room was spacious, with a dishwasher, cooktop and fridge, as well as a desk so that I could work as I was there for business. There were a good number of plugs so that you could charge laptops and phones all at once. I was on the 12th floor with a lovely view of the Loire river. The bathroom was well stocked with slippers and a good amount of towels. Though disappointingly the pressure in the shower was awful, it was hard to get the shampoo out of my hair. There is a nice cafe near by, that serves a reasonably priced dinner and has friendly staff. The hotel is a 10min walk from the train station and about a 15-20min walk from the city centre. The nearest Carrefour is a good 20min walk away. All in all I would stay here again, it was great for a business trip.
I stayed here last month during a business tour in the city. Not only the exterior, but interior of the building was also equally impressive. From the moment we reached the place I felt like being in my own home. Property is very clean and beautifully decorated. Every corner of the building was properly used. Amenities are abundant and food is lovely. My room was big and had everything that I needed. Bathroom was luxurious and functional. All the guys here are very efficient and they really did a great job. Highly recommended.
Note: This place is now known as "Séjours & Affaires Nantes Ducs de Bretagne". It's still just across from the convention center, above the Carrefour grocery. I stayed here for six days and liked it very much. I would definitely stay here again. There is no daily maid service, but on check-in everything was clean. The sofa bed was of good quality -- I found it pretty much as comfortable as a regular bed. Internet was free and by ethernet (wired) so be sure to bring a laptop and not just an ipad or something. (They provided the cable.) The shower stall was narrow but equipped with a handheld showerhead with excellent water pressure and an adjustable mount. Having the laundry room available was really great! You have to buy "tokens" from the front desk and it's 3 euros each to wash and dry, but it's totally worth it. The staff were extremely helpful -- while I was trying to finish up laundry before I left, they even offered to start my laundry in the dryer for me while I ran out to dinner, so that it would be done in time. They also were really good about answering all my questions by email (in English) beforehand. The location is perfect for the convention center. The kitchenette is great for keeping fresh fruit and grocery items from the Carrefour, and there's a bakery with great croissants just across the street (open every day except Monday). The one drawback to the rooms is that there's no AC or other ventilation, although an electric tabletop fan is provided. On warm nights it's tempting to open the windows, but then there's often some noise outside and a risk of mosquitos (no window screens). Also note that the rooms have no carpet. They do provide disposable slippers. I actually prefer this because I think it's cleaner, but others may disagree.
This place is "self-catered" (maid service only once a week), closest to the convention center, only 100 m away. It has a fully stocked grocery market on the ground floor in the same building, and a reasonably equipped, if small kitchen in every unit. I attended a week-long meeting at the conference center and found it to be the best accommodation in terms of location and cost.
