Convenient to airport and downtown. Safe pleasant and green atmosphere.

this place was a problem. the pool was closed and being renovated and there was a lot of noise from it. the rooms were very small, cramped and a bad deal for the price. the staff did move me to their sister property Stanley downtown which was acceptable still overall it was a bad experience and i would avoid this place especially while the pool is being renovated. it is a gross misrepresentation to show this place on the internet with a pool when the pool is closed and an open construction pit with hammers and noise.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now. The staff is extremely professional and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It doesn't get any better for the price.

I have been to Nairobi 19x and this is the 2nd time I've stayed at this hotel. The 1st time was great and I gave it excellent reviews. This time our taxi driver who had dropped us off from the airport did not show up to bring us back to the airport the next day. So I asked the taxi drivers in front of the hotel for a ride and they said they were allowed only to bring guests to the airport l in a limo for $50 (in spite that they had their own taxi/autos right there and were not busy). They said this was a new management policy. Since a taxi to the airport typically costs up to $25 (2,000 shillings) and there were a good 8 taxis waiting for passengers, I thought this was ridiculous. i have never spent $50 to get to the airport. I spoke with several hotel staff and they refused to accommodate us by letting us take one of their waiting taxis. We spoke to the taxi drivers and they were afraid to take us because they did not want to alienate the hotel mgmt. So after about 10-15 minutes, my colleague and I picked up our luggage and were starting to walk to the highway and get a lift from a taxi there. Then hotel mgmt decided to change their mind and they allowed one of the taxis to give us a lift for the usual rate. It was bizarre and uncomfortable. Other than that, the stay was good as usual. So if you do not want to spend $100 dollars on hotel taxis, arrange your own reliable taxi in advance.

Took a chance to try a new hotel. The discount was astounding for such a nice place. Additionally because of our late arrival, staff upgraded our rooms to club rooms. Staff were very pleasant. Place was immaculately clean.Breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty. Poolside restaurant and chairs were wonderful for the perfect weather. Only downside is there is no gym. They say they are adding that. I will stay there again!

This is an older hotel. My room hadn't been upgraded in quite some time, so the TV was old, the fixtures in the bathroom quite dated, windows without screens, low-power room ac, and there weren't the number of electric outlets one expects of a newer hotel, and there were only British receptacles, so bring an adapter or enquire at the desk. Yet everything was clean and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, though the pillows were a bit too firm. The bathroom sparkled. The free wifi was quite speedy. We had an early departure and asked for breakfast in a box -- it was ready at 5:45am and quite tasty -- sausage, yogurt, cake, fruit, and a hard-boiled egg. Staff were very friendly. Security guards watching every floor, perhaps because this is an old-fashioned, "open" hotel, doors opening to a lovely garden. Unlike hotels on the Westlands side or downtown, the location of this hotel is rather more accessible to the airport -- only three of Nairobi's notorious jammed roundabouts to traverse instead of five or six like some other hotels. With all of the above, the hotel's price is lower than Nairobi average, thus an excellent bargain for those seeking a comfortable room in a good location.

It was my first time in this hotel. Seems they did a lot of renovation. My room was like new. Since Nairobi hotels are quite pricey in general, the offer via internet was very good. The hotel offers true 3-star environment or even higher. The rooms are in good condition, wifi and breakfast was included. Not to forget to mention, the hotel staff was extremely caring, friendly and very efficient. Since I will travel frequently to Nairobi in the future, the Sarova Panafric will be my choice if prices remain in that range.

Excellent hotel for Nairobi. Not too pricey and very nice. Security conscious. Delicious buffet breakfast. Makes every effort to accomodate. Would not hestiate to recommend.
