EKA Hotel provided a comfortable stay, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The lobby area was nicely furnished, with pleasant décor that created a warm first impression. However, the hotel’s transition during upgrades interfered somewhat with the overall experience. Our room’s television had not been fully programmed, leaving us with limited channels and no ability to sign into our streaming services. The guest room itself was simple, with no decorative wall features, and the bathroom was very plain. Overall, the stay was comfortable, but the in-progress upgrades were noticeable and affected some of the expected amenities.

Purpose of stay was to refresh before a long travel segment. We didn’t stay the night. A better half day rate would be appreciated. The shower overflowed onto bathroom floor. The drain may have been blocked? We took hotel car service to airport. Driver was pleasant and efficient to explain the process at the airport - however our luggage ended up on a trolley being pushed by a young man who asked us for a “tip” so he could give a tip to the person at the entry of the terminal since he didn’t have credentials. He asked for 50 Euros. We pushed our cart in ourselves. A local would have known what the scam was. The room needs better lighting. The restaurant food on main level was very good. Staff seem to have a certain way of accommodating white guests than other ethnic groups, i felt like i was just a guest not considered by the way my case was handled. This is not the first time in this hotel, i will seriously think twice before I book this hotel again

The only complaint about Eka was the quality of the food was below what we have experienced at other locations,including camps, during our safari journey, but honestly we didn’t come for the food.
