But most important was the superb service of many employees. There were 2 people sharing 1 room, upon arrival and throughout our 6 nights stay, there was only 1 key available, even though we checked back several times as informed for the 2nd key. Iron/iron board not available in rooms, has to be requested and no working phone. Limited space for clothing, no drawers only 1 small closet with 6 hangers. No privacy in room...openness of bathroom. Telephone in room was not working from arrival through departure, reported several times to no avail. Late check out was granted until 1pm, however, on return to room at 12 noon, our room key had been deactivated. Cleanliness, food and staff courtesy was excellent.

Unfortunately a very disappointing stay. My flight got rescheduled and I notified them and requested a pick up from the airport, which did not happen. Then I arrived and even though I had a booking through this site, I was told that they were overbooked and I had to wait for my room to be cleaned. I was very tired so when I finally got my room I cleaned up and went to bed. The next day I saw the room wasn't as clean as I had remembered from a previous stay and that evening I found bed bugs. I tried calling the front desk and no one answered. So I went down and told them. Someone came up to inspect and I had to pack up and move to a different room. I requested that the clothing I had been wearing be laundered so I would not have an infestation of bed bugs and they tried to charge me for it. If companions had not been booked at the same hotel, I would have left. For a luxury hotel with luxury prices, this was a very disappointing experience.

Very Close proximity to the airport, and the property is actually right behind the Nairobi National Park! (However, you can Not access the park from the hotel…you have to take a vehicle to the park’s entrance, and it is a Safari Experience Not to be missed!) The rooms are spacious, modern, and well maintained, and the enclosed shower is Amazing! Breakfast was included, and they did a decent job of having a variety of dishes/foods to appeal to various nationalities. Fresh squeezed juices were always available, along with Still and Sparkling Water, coffee and tea. The Main thing I did Not like is that there is a Nightclub called the Tunnel, located right next to the hotel, and the DJ plays Very Loud Music Every Single Night, All through the night until around 4am, so if your room faces the street, you will hear the music playing All Night Long Mercilessly. I was with a large group of travelers, and those of us whose rooms faced the street had trouble sleeping at night due to the Loud Music, while others whose rooms were facing the opposite direction were oblivious to this issue. Just make sure you request that your room does Not face the street. Another issue of contention is that we attempted to obtain an extra keycard for our room on Several occasions, but were told by front desk Staff that no extra keycards were available. They kept telling us to “check back first thing in the morning” but we were met with the same resistance Four Days in a row to no avail.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mix of great and very unsettling experiences. The good first — the hotel is clean, new, and well located. The front desk staff was friendly and kind enough to upgrade me to a deluxe room, which I really appreciated. That gesture didn’t go unnoticed. But something happened that left me feeling extremely uncomfortable. Around 8 a.m., while I was still in the room, a cleaner used a master key to open my door without knocking. She just walked in. We made eye contact and she said, “Oh sorry, I thought you had checked out.” Checkout at this hotel is 12 p.m., so I was shocked. As a solo traveler, this really shook me. It made me feel unsafe knowing that someone could just enter my locked room without any notice. What if I hadn’t been fully dressed? What if I was sleeping? What if something had gone missing? It’s not just about privacy, it’s about security. I hope management seriously rethinks how staff access rooms. A simple knock or confirmation from the front desk should be the bare minimum. I wanted to love this hotel but that experience left me feeling really vulnerable.
