I stayed on a leisure trip for 15 days after a surgery. Club Himalaya Nagarkot is around 25 Kms from Kathmandu at a peace and scenic location overlooking the Himalayas. I felt like a Home. Staff is excellent and they took very good care of mine. Chef checked for my dietary preferences on knowing that I went for surgery. Hotel is very beautiful and modern. Renovation is going on and I am sure that it will turn out as one of Best Resorts in the world. Nagarkot is a small village and pollution free. I enjoyed the natural beauty and fall in love with Nepal. I will visit again on my next annual leaves.

We were there for just a few days after a trip to Tibet. Comfortable room; pretty good buffet breakfasts and dinners. Easy to stroll out to nearby village and surrounding areas. We didn’t use the pool but it looked good.

Our family of 10 spent a blissful weekend at this world famous resort. It is #1 in Nagarkot for very good reasons. The hotel is spread on a hill surrounded by lush green trees. The facilities are amazing- the pool, spa, restaurant & multiple spaces to just soak in the fresh air and majestic views. Loved the staff & their unique Nepali hospitality. Their smile their namastes. There is no other hotel in Nagarkot that does what Club Himalaya has been doing for all these years. Is and will always be the BEST!!!!

We went for weekend trip. The staff were very helpful and polite. The rooms were cleans and the views were spectacular. Each room comes with it's own private viewing deck and an unparallel uninterrupted view. The food was really good - must try schezwan chicken! I would highly recommend this hotel

We spent two nights at this magnificent resort. The service was impeccable. The team went above & beyond to cater to my 3 year old daughter. The food was delicious. We enjoyed swimming, walking around the resort & just chilling on their outdoor deck. Highly reccomended and a MUST when visiting Nepal. I could spend the whole week there!!!

We had one night in Himalaya club in June; which was meant to be a disconnect from the noisy world. The place is a hidden gem 7000 ft above sea level. You can see sunrise from your room; however were a bit unfortunate that it wasn't a very clear day (beginning of mansoon). Rooms are very spacious and clean; food is good; pool is nice but really cold; walking in hotel garden is the real pleasure. However the road to the hotel is scary and undeveloped. Would recommend it for sure.

The last stop on our trip to Nepal, was at Nagarkote. We were taken to the hotel by our host, and we only stayed over night. I sincerely wish i had more time to explore the surroundings. The hotel was beautiful, and has a indoor pool as well. We checked in late in the evening, and settled in to the room soon as we arrived. The room was really spacious and even the bathroom was so. The view from the balcony of my room was something really worthwhile. I honestly woke up around 4:45 in the morning, and had my tea in the balcony seated, eager to see the sunrise. The feeling is something i find difficult to describe. The sun rising through the mountains with the sky colour changing from pink to orange and bright yellow. It was something. I did walk a bit around the hotel in the early morning hours, before we set off back to Kathmandu to take the return flight home. Food was awesome, and plenty. But I wish they had more Nepali dishes for us the foreigners to try.

Our room at Club Himalaya had a balcony from which one could see some of the world's highest mountains. Although it was misty, the view was magnificent. And while the room and restaurant service was rather leisurely, everyone was friendly and kind. The meals were delicious. The bar, with a cozy central fireplace, was the perfect place to try tasty Nepalese rum. The buildings and grounds are beautifully designed, with a tranquil garden in the middle. From the hotel, one can take spectacular walks or hikes. On a clear day, we were told, one can see Mt. Everest.

We stayed here for 1 night on 4th June 2019 Pros : Awesome Room, Breathtaking Lobby, Superb Pool, Awesome surrounding greenery and Beautiful Scenery of the mountains from your rooms, Excellent breakfast and Dinner options Cons: Road leading to the hotel is all choppy Overall: 5/5 If you want to relax this is the place to be, worth every penny they charge you

During our vacation in Nepal, we chose to visit Nagarkot, which is located at nearly an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. Based on the number of good reviews, we opted to stay at the Club Himalayan Nagarkot Resort. When we started from Kathmandu, the day was just like any other, sunny and bright. Little did we realise that, thanks to the side effects of Cyclone Fani that would soon change. Halfway up the mountain, it started raining quite heavily, and to our utter amazement, that was soon followed by a short shower of hailstones. By the time we reached the resort, the temperatures had dropped and there was no stopping the rains and the wind. But our adventures were not over yet. The resort was at the top of a dozen or more steps and to reach the entrance, we were required to make the climb in unsuitable conditions. The security at the gates did offer us couple of big umbrellas, but frankly, it didn’t do the job. There was a senior citizen with us, and you can imagine the time we had, going up those steep and slippery steps, with rain and cold winds lashing at us. This was an experience that we wouldn’t care to repeat, any time in the near or even distant future and frankly speaking, spoiled our first impression of the resort. We would have expected the resort to have some sort of Covered steps or maybe even a lift for the convenience of their guests. After braving the steps and a walk down a long passage, we finally entered the resort, all wet and cold. Our rooms were on the 5th floor with magnificent views of the mountains. The only hitch was that there was no lift and the rooms had to be reached via the old fashioned staircase and long walk on the passage ways. The senior with us gamely climbed the steps, but it was obviously an ordeal. The rooms themselves were adjoining and very spacious and with all the amenities. The balcony opened out to a truly amazing view that was almost worth all the trouble that we had gone through to reach this place. For city folks like us, the fresh air and the super picturesque scenery were enchanting. Since the restaurant was on the ground floor, next to the reception, we preferred room dining. The food arrived in a short while and was very delicious. The Restaurant Supervisor, Mr. Amar Shresta was very receptive to our food needs both during Dinner time and breakfast and provided personal attention. Thanks for the same. We were invited to visit the terrace, that was one floor above, for a marvellous view of the sunrise and sunset. The view of the distant snow clad Himalayas, the various mountain ranges, as well the sunset and sunrise have to been seen, to be believed. We lost track of the number of pictures clicked by us, trying the capture the view, to the fullest. We still don’t believe that we were really successful. We stayed for just one night but that in itself was a beautiful experience. All the Resort Staff were caring and receptive to our needs. We would however, request the resort to make some changes with respect to providing better accessibility like lifts etc., so that the pleasure of the mountainous resort can be enjoyed, by one and all, across all ages groups and irrespective of their fitness. Overall, it was a very nice experience.
