The Semeli is an amazing hotel...the service is excellent they can’t do enough for you....they made our holiday a truly magical one....the rooms themselves are very special & extremely clean....I left our safe open one day with a lot valuable items in & came back to everything exactly has I had left it....now that’s amazing!! I would highly recommend this hotel....it’s so peaceful & very beautiful
Our first hotel on our Greek Island itinerary and we were blown away by Semeli Hotel. Pick up from the airport was seamless and we had an amazing checkin experience. We were shown to our room and I spied another set of rooms across the hotel pool which I thought we were getting. ie. Hot tub outside with sea view. They thought we would have preferred the hot tub indoors as it was quite cold when were there. The staff were fantastic to show us the other room and move all our luggage after we'd decided to stay in that room. What a room! The bed was amazing, the sheets so luxurious, the view from the deck was beyond beautiful. It was easy walking distance to everything in Mykonos. We spent 2 nights here wished we could have stayed longer. The bathroom was very generous in size but it had the old style tube hairdryer which I despise and makes it very hard to blow dry your hair, lucky I bought my own. The hotel itself is stunning and it was hard to stop taking photos of it. It has obviously been updated recently and has been done very professionally and luxurious. The breakfast down at the restaurant was extensive and the food delicious. The only let down was you had to pay for a coffee other than the filtered coffee on offer. For a 5* boutique hotel I believe you should be able to order a coffee without paying extra. The views from the restaurant are lovely and it was easy to spend an hour just eating and eating and eating enjoying the view. We didn't use the pool or hot tub in the main area but we loved our private hot tub on our balcony. The first night we had no-one either side so it was very private, but guests were on either side the next night so it's quite open to everyone looking at you but it didn't take away from the experience of watching the incredible sunset with a glass of bubbly in there. We ate dinner in the restaurant one evening and the food was lovely, the service great and the wine really good. We hired a car for a day and it was a great way to see Mykonos and would recommend that for a short stay. They bought it to the hotel and picked up it as well which was handy. I would highly recommend this hotel and would come back without any hesitations.
I have just got back from 4 nights at Semeli with my girlfriend to celebrate my 30th birthday in Mykonos! What an amazing experience right from being picked up at the airport! We were upgraded to a hot tub room at no extra cost what a lovely suprise, my girlfriend had called ahead to arranged for a cake and balloons to be in the room which they did a great job and exceeded all expectations with the hot tub too! All the staff are amazing, very polite and helpful, ladies on reception always on hand to help nothing is too much bother for them, the very pleasant valet parking guy who took us too and from the airport and would always park our quad bike in the hotel underground car park and get it out again when we were heading out. The hotel is in a great location, short walk into the twisty streets into the beautiful town. The hotel itself is beautifully kept, extremely clean, beautiful pool area to relax in the day, bar, restaurant all a lovely and relaxing setting, breakfast was perfect. I booked this hotel on its reviews as I am very picky where I stay, this hotel exceded all of our expectations and more! If your looking to stay in Mykonos look no further, thanks to all at Semeli for making my 30th birthday one to remember. We will be coming back!
Amazing hotel , great friendly service , fantastic food what more could you ask for ! We spent 3 nights here & it was truly memorable . Greek style Breakfast was fantastic with a huge variety & staff were very attentive & helpful . Highly recommend the Semeli to visitors to Mykonos .
Great place, great breakfast, beautiful pool, very nice and friendly staff. Mykonos is a small place, everything in a walking distance. We had great time here. This is a place if you want to relax and enjoy the pool or food and the shopping in the small alleys, beautiful place to visit and stay.
This is a nice place to stay and relax in mykonos little away from waterfront up on hill with a good view from most of the rooms which are not very big but definitely clean and tidy. Soundproofing is not upto the mark so at times you can hear music playing in bar or sound of people using nearby pool. Breakfast is ok. Staff is very well trained and rakt helping.
The rooms have an electronic door not disturb sign, wasn’t sure if working so asked staff to ensure it was. It seems the only way to check is to use a staff master key and see if door opens. Anyway clearly it didn’t work as housekeeping came into room. Probably I set it incorrectly! Main issue was all personal effects moved. Dirty gym clothes put on top of clean clothes. Old and new underwear refolded and put together so not able to know what was clean, etc etc. Very annoying to have all ones things moved around. Ok, they offered to clean laundry free of charge but would rather everything was not moved around. Apart from that, a lovely hotel with great staff. But why would they think guests would appreciate someone going through all their belongings like this!!
the title says it all. the location is superb with between everything. the windmills the shopping and the eating places overlooking the sea are all just a short walk away. we had the the room with hot jacuzzi mind you its not very private so you might want to keep your costume on. but its been recently renovated so everything in the room is quite modern. the toiletries were chopard which was quite impressive. nice views of the sea. very nice buffet spread. the pool was beautiful but we could not use it because of the weather. a must stay if u want to be in the middle of everything but with a certain level of luxury. cheers
Simply put: stay here. Breathtaking views, savory food, gracious service, gorgeous pool, dream-sequence rooms. A special thanks to Elisa at the front desk for encouraging us to risk March weather and visit Mykonos. We were dazzled by the Semeli and the sparkling white island!
I have written an evaluation for Semeli the Hotel in the past. What drives me to write again is that they keep up being excellent !! I've been with them again this week and experienced all the good things I described last time PLUS : an even better room, a beautiful renovated pool and veranda-bar area...they have more than obviously invested money and effort on this lately. The result is excellent !!! BRAVO again.
