3rd week in October we stayed at Pietra e Mare and loved every second - everywhere was spotlessly clean, all staff and management were friendly attentive and professional. The hotel looks out on a lovely bay where the view was breathtaking. Although we stayed at the end of the season it is only a short cab ride or the hotel shuttle ride away to Mykonos or surrounding beaches. A great place for a relaxing and pampered holiday. The beds are so comfy.
We spent 2 nights at Pietra e Mare and we are sorry it couldn’t have been longer. We were greeted like long lost friends on our arrival by the lovely Nancy. Who showed us the hotel and to our room explaining how everything worked. All the staff that we came into contact with were absolutely lovely. Happy, helpful and just lovely. The hotel is small and sits on a hill overlooking the beach, which affords it great views over the bay. Be warned the walk up from the beach is quite steep and not for those who may have restricted physical capacity. However that being said; the pool was great with lots of sun loungers dotted around. Breakfast was great, an ample selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruits cakes etc etc, plus they will make you cooked to order eggs, bacon etc. The one thing that let it down a little was the Dinner menu, it was a bit limited. We ate dinner at the hotel once and were expecting great things, the food was ok, but not great, which is such a shame. Overall though we lived the hotel and the staff and I would recommend it without hesitation
From the first minute we arrived we felt welcomed and like family. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was a great size and had a magnificent view. They helped us hire a car which was a fantastic assistance to see the whole island in a short space of time. Breakfast was really good and had a relaxing feel as you started the day overlooking the beautiful beach!
We liked the hotel so much. Brilliant room with outdoor jacuzi bath and amazing view. Very clean hotel and rooms. Breakfast was very poor. Staff were so friendly but not helpful. Location was far from Mykonos city.
Just left Pietra E Mare today and it did everything I hoped it would. The hotel is lovely and tranquil exactly what you need to wind down, it’s a quiet resort with amazing views and delicious food. Nancy at reception was so great and even gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip away from the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and we had a brilliant time. The staff were so attentive, thank you so much for a superb stay and we will definitely be back one day!
We came back again this year as we were so well looked after last year, but cannot compare the 2 holidays - not sure if it was because we were bed & breakfast but this time the front line staff were at best mediocre and at worst really bad. After a really bad service in day 2 when we stayed for dinner we opted to taxi to Ano Mero (the next village) where there was 5 tavernas to chose from, a monastery to check out and an impression mini supermarket. Breakfast was good as long we didn't get there on opening as the chef was not in until later - really felt for the waiters/waitresses who took the brunt. Really sad but won't recommend this time I would say the room was still lovely (although it could have done with a wardrobe) , the views are amazing and the beach is delightful (as long as it is out of season)
My wife and I just had our honeymoon in Greece and this hotel came as an unexpected (and totally awesome) experience. We had originally booked our few days on Mykonos at their sister hotel, Porto Mykonos, but received a special offer to stay for a night at Pietra & Mare. After skeptically accepting since we chose Porto Mykonos for a reason, we are EXTREMELY happy that we decided to take that offer... Located on a cliff above Kalo Livadi beach on the southeast part of the island, the hotel offers spectacular views of the beach and the Aegean below you. The decor is very typical of Grecian islands in general, lots of white and very clean. The staff there are fantastic and make you feel very welcome from the beginning, especially our hostess Anastasia -- she was great!! The hotel has a great pool and lounge area that we unfortunately did not get to take advantage of because the beach down below is in such close proximity. Speaking of the beach, there are a few clubs and restaurants that will suit whatever you are looking to do, as well as a free section of beach. The room and bed were spectacular and the shower was awesome too! All in all, a pretty awesome way to start our honeymoon, very glad the situation arose.
I loved this beautiful hotel away from the crowds of Mykonos. I had a very relaxing time enjoying the pool and the views from my room were incredible. Everything is decorated very nicely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I felt very taken care of and enjoyed the experience. I would stay again!
We loved our stay at 'Pietra e Mare'! We went there for 3 nights for our honeymoon and we were extremely comfortable and happy. We were welcomed with homemade lemonade and a description of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was really delicious and we loved our room service when we ordered it! The view was to die for, we could see the Kalo Livadi Beach and the ocean below. We also enjoyed the hot-tub on our balcony in the Superior Sea-View Suite. Room number 4 was very private when you were sitting in the tub. The room itself was so large it felt like an apartment since the bed was in a loft area above the rest of the room. They also had an area with palm trees and hammocks which I enjoyed for the aesthetic appeal and comfort. With all these options and a pool to boot there were so many places to relax! We had a wonderful stay there and would recommend it if you would like a quiet atmosphere while in Mykonos! The beach right next door is also lovely and not too expensive.
Glad we stayed here one night before heading to our other place. It's away from town and perfect location for rest and recharge by the beach. It's very pretty and clean too! Will come back for sure...staff is very gracious!
