First visit to Oman and this was a very nice place to stay. Great views from the hotel. Friendly staff and the rooms were comfortable.

If you like a dated hotel and don't mind paying a lot to eat it's ok. Beware the breakfast buffet price if you are using a currency other than OMR...the food is good but two breakfasts cost my husband and myself over $150....way more than I would ever pay for a breakfast as I don't eat much. The beach is nice, but compared to the other hotels in Muscat, we were disappointed. My advice: go to Shangri La or Grand Hyatt...they are updated and/or newer. The price is comparable.

The staff, almost all Omanis were very friendly and helpful. The location, the beach and the pool were all wonderful. The hotel itself is a little worn, but everything is functional and clean. Good service and the beach location make this hotel a good buy.

we arrived midday only to be upgraded to a seaside room in their new wing. The room had a fantastic view overlooking the ocean. The hotel is ideally located so you have a great view plus there is a proper beach down a few stairs. plus a heated pool right out the door. We also opted for the 25R/day add on of free breakie, lunch and what we made supper-snacks in the evening with free drinks included. There is also a complimentary shuttle to the souk which we took advantage of. We are definitely coming back!

Had a nice time and the service was great. Daughter enjoyed the pool and beach. My son and I had a good workout in the gym

Staff very friendly. A bit out of the way from lots of sites around Muscat, but worth it. The private beach was an added plus.

Fantastic views, great staff, fun place, get reservations early for a New Year's party

Very nice hotel - modern with all the conveniences. Smooth professional management. But the location - wow. It is high on a cliff overlooking the ocean about half way between airport and the city. Small white sands beach. A view to die for. Location is within a suburban very upscale residential part of town.

Muscat is very beautiful and the hotel is in a prime location to take advantage of the beauty. The lobby spoke elegance which was not reflected in the hallways leading to the rooms. The rooms were ok. My husband and I took a weekend getaway from Abu Dhabi and enjoyed Muscat's beauty, the friendliness of the hotel staff and the relaxing atmosphere.

This is a perfect place to recharge your batteries. Wonderful private beach and hotel's facilities made this trip unforgettable.Recommended for business as well as for family travels.

This is an older Crown Plaza. It was very clean, but had an old feel to it. The dining options are limited, but the food was good. Very nice pool and tennis court.
