Great location & plenty of room

We would stay here again. The place could use a good dusting & deep clean (such as dust ruffle & baseboards) but it wasn’t too bad. The location & view & patio make it 5-star!

When making our reservations, I spoke to them several times and all of the agents were so friendly and helpful. We stayed here in #804 and it suited our needs perfectly. Very comfortable beds, clean, large balcony and a breathtaking view! I hope to make this place our yearly tradition.

The blinds that face the ocean need to be replaced. Need room darkening blinds. Sun hits that side of the master bedroom at 6am. Not possible to sleep at that point. Master bath needs a redo. Would increase overall image of unit if popcorn ceilings were removed. I just bought a house here in Anderson, had a man come in and remove the popcorn ceilings, looks like a new house?

Great Condo!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was excellent! Very clean, well maintained and spacious. The condo met all of our expectations from the property description. However, the carpet does need to be relpaced in the living room. The only complaint is the elevators. My family was stuck in the elevator for an hour on the Saturday night that we arrived. We also heard of others that also got stuck in the elevator. This resulted in only one elevator for a couple of days in a large complex which resulted in long wait times for the elevator. The security officers stated that they reported the elevator acting up when the problem began, but no one responded to their call until my family was standed inside the elevator for an hour. I completely understand that an elevator can tear up as anything can, but in a large complex such as One Ocean Place, I would expect maintenance to arrive at the first sign of malfunction.

Over all a good experience, but needs a little updating

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The kitchen was beautiful!! It was well stocked with appliances and cookware and completely updated. Unfortunately, there were a few minor things - that didn’t effect our stay - that need attention : the vertical blinds in the front room and the master bedroom, were missing about 1/3 of the panels - they were “stored” in crazy places all over the unit, sort of like an Easter egg hunt - found them hanging from various clothes rods, under the couch and under every single bed. My husband tried to rehang the ones in the bedroom - but they kept falling. One of the drawer fronts was completely missing from the master bathroom vanity. The door to the safe was on top of the safe - we didn’t need it, so it wasn’t a big deal. There was also a funky mildewy smell in that closet and the carpet was damp. The furnace filter looked like it hasn’t been changed in a super long time. I couldn’t rave enough about the beds!!!! They were super comfortable!! All in all, it was a great condo - I fell in love with the reclining chair in the living room - googled it to get one for my own home.

Fun week at he beach But there’s a catch

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was as advertised. The unit was clean and roomy. Apparently the Home Owners Association is responsible for lots of added security. The problem is guests care required to key in a numerical code at each gate.Very cumbersome if you are trying to carry stuff to the pool or beach. Also had to call maintenance as the TV in the living room was not working. The mattress and pillows need to be replaced in the master bedroom. Not sure how I feel about renting next year. We have been coming to One Ocean place for over 15 years.

Reviewer Comments: I rented this unit, sight unseen (except for pictures online) because it was available on short notice and I needed to stay in the area for a few more days. The booking agent at Garden City Realty was very pleasant & helpful; and, went "above & beyond" in facilitating my move from another condo at OOP (which was not available for my extended stay). The condo has a lot of potential but I was disappointed in the decor and upkeep. A brief list of things that went wrong: (1) refrigerator door shelf guard was broken and fell off as soon as I opened it the first time (2) towel rack in master bathroom fell off the wall as soon as I hung up my first towel (3) blinds on windows overlooking the ocean were missing slats & one of the turn/open rods broke off. I am a 72 yr. old woman who is NOT rough with appliances/furnishings. These items were already broken & had (obviously) been "patched together". On the plus side...the bed was comfortable (but, the linens were cheap and rough). This unit could be beautiful if it was upgraded a little and a variety of things were repaired/replaced.

It was clean and spacious but sorely in need of a few dollars spent on modernizing appliances and bedroom carpets. The dryer doesn’t heat on the timed setting, blinds didn’t work, and TV in living room didn’t get fixed until Friday of our stay.

Review of Unit #804

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at One Ocean Place for about 30 Years. We would never want to stay anywhere else. Over the course of these 30 years we have stayed in different units on the property. This was the first time we have stayed at Unit #804. We would choose NOT to stay in this unit again for the following reasons. First, there is not enough living room furniture for 6 to 8 people to sit, other then some having to sit at the dining room table. Also, the two swivel chairs were not comfortable at all leaving basically a couch and one small recliner to sit at. Next, the living room and master bedroom TV's did not work consistently. The Master Bathroom's Shower head did not put out a strong enough water supply while showering. This, along with the shower doors were not working correctly. There wasn't a working iron and ironing board like the other units have had that we stayed in. This as well as the ice maker would not work correctly. Also, one of the closet doors in the bedroom was not even attached. We did not complain because we aren't complainers but I received this email asking for a review, so I thought I would let you know. We just felt the owners of this particular unit should upgrade and make necessary repairs due to the fact that we pay a lot of money for our vacation week. Again, we love Once Ocean Place and will continue coming every summer, but will not stay in this unit again. Thank you for your time and attention.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was clean, check in was a bit messy. There was no final inspection so no one knew if we could enter or not. There was no welcome packet which contained our parking passes. I called the rental office they assured me someone would be by that night and it did not happen. Both our vehicles were ticketed. I call rental office Sunday morning and they were closed so had to call emergency number and they told me they would have someone bring them out by 10 (no one ever showed up). Had to find a maintenance worker at condo to ask what to do. They gave me temporary passes. Had to go up to rental office Monday to get correct passes and pass for overflow lot for third vehicle. Just aggravating Property itself had broken blinds laying on floor in leaving room and master bedroom. Shower doors in master bath swad.. The refrigerator had broken door slats. I tried to report all this when I called saturday and was told to speak to the inspector when they came and that never happened.

Great condo for good price

Reviewer Comments: Everything was very clean execpt for some maintance issues which did not bother us at all and I documented them so that could be fixed during non occupancy.I have stayed at one ocean place over 10 times and visited many more of the units, but have only rented houses for the last 15 years. This was one of the best units in terms of clutter, cleanliness, decorating, balcony furniture that is actually comfortable.Dishwasher is a throw away operating on its last legs, but it does work. Refrigerator, range, a/c all were superior. Furnace very clean, a big plus for those with allergies. I recall the water at one ocean place being sulphur smelling and we always purchased bottled water, but the water had no smell, was clear and did not taste bad, great improvement. Location is good, short walk to our favorite restaurant, Conch Café, which used to be a lazy inexpensive place with great food, but it has been "discovered" and is crawling with business.

Moving on to a new beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a very nice vacation, we enjoyed our stay there. However there are a few things that need up dated. The showers need replacing with shower heads that can be removed and hand held. This would also help in rinsing the tub. Kitchen is very nice except for the dishwasher, several rust spots. Several of the blind slats were lying in the floor and some were broken. Other than these few things, it was a very nice place and we really enjoyed our time there.
