The room was extremely cold: with the space heater on high and the bathroom door closed, it would only ever get up to 62 degrees and was mostly at 60. Meanwhile, the bed had only a thin bed cover and no blanket, and the bathroom had no source of heat. The power button on the remote didn't work, and initially the light switch didn't work but I was able to resolve that with the help of a flashlight. They also have a weird "no locals, no exceptions" rule which seems kind of rude to those who live in the area. The one thing I will say is that the toilet paper was very plush and the shower worked well.
Never above 62 degrees, no blanket and just a thin bed cover.

Room was clean but needs some work. Still some very old rusted parts especially in the bathroom. It is a very old motel that was renovated but done cheap. Bed is hard. TV didn’t work some of the time. We appreciate that the room was serviced, bed made, trash pulled, etc. That was nice.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Extremely clean room and bathroom. This sounds silly to some but an actual usable bar of body soap that lathered on the washcloth! The bottles of water in fridge were greatly appreciated. Quiet area which was nice. Room did not reek of weed or cigarettes!

Second time staying at the Sunset Motel. The rooms are SUPER cute and very tidy clean and neat…..and NEET. Staff is excellent and very courteous. Check in and checkout very simple. Will definitely stay with them again.

Loved the retro feel of this motel. Town is adorable with a super fun vibe—very walkable for a night out. Cute breakfast basket and you can make coffee in the room. We’ll be back for a longer stay to do some waterfall hikes!

Check in was smooth and right on time. The Lady at the desk came in just before 3 as stated. She offered good advice on travel in the area. The room was clean, in really good shape. Two cold bottles of water in the refrigerator in the room along with a breakfast basket. Bed was comfortable, the area was quiet, the shower was nice. Chair out front to sit on the porch.A nice step back in time.
