Checked in Friday for work in the area and I am not impressed. I am in the area with 80 other employees for a job start that will run thru the next week and we are spaced out over the metro area for lodging. I have the misfortune to be stuck in this property, and if these first two days are indicative of the rest of my stay I'm in trouble. In the first two days here I have had no "maid" service whatsoever even after speaking with the front desk about it. Breakfast service has been adequate for this chain but not to have beds made, garbage dumped or clean towels is a waste of time and money. If you're thinking of coming here, don't............
I stayed here with my children on our drive home from Florida. We are regulars with Holiday Inn Express hotels. We like them for the quality and comfort we find uniformly provided with each stay. This one is well below expectations. Once we were settling into our room for the night, a stranger entered our room with his luggage. We all were startled and I stopped him asking what was going on. He was also assigned our room and had an active key. What??? Thankfully he was nice about it and left to ask the desk. I called the desk as well. No apology from management, nothing. We needed to use the sofa bed for my son. It was broken, with two missing hooks causing the mattress to fall through to the floor. Unbelievable!!! When I called the desk to let him know, he just said he would make a note to have it repaired...and what about tonight? We had to make it work. I found out the following morning that there were rollaway beds but none was offered to us. In addition, the open sofa bed blocked access to the door and bathroom. IHG really needs to let this hotel go. It should not bear the Holiday Inn name. Stay away!
Just average for a holiday inn. The only complaint is that we had to wait till 3:30 PM for a 2:00 check in. No clean rooms. I had a reservation. The maid service starts early morning and is loud. Breakfast was very clean and decent food. Parking is limited...
We stopped here on our way home from Orlando. This place needs some TLC. The seating in the dining area is stained. Icky. Our front desk clerk worked her pants off and was very friendly. The rooms need a deep clean. Very dusty in the corners and we found an ancient gummy bear when trying to plug in phones. The bathroom lay out is impossible to navigate and cramped. Not terribly clean in the shower. The location is convenient, and there are lots of dining options. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here. We normally book the Hampton, which is on the other side of the rode. It's clear that due to demand, prices were VERY high. Felt a bit robbed.
We called this location at the last minute during our drive home. The Front Desk Clerk was very helpful. She was able to book us into a very nice suite. The room was great. A very comfortable bed. Everything was great. This property overall was Excellent. Common Areas & Lobby very clean and organized. We will making this a regular stop on our travels to & from Atlanta. Great Place!
The hotel location is convenient. It is close to numerous restaurants and easy access to the interstate. The staff here was great. Easy check in and check out and the breakfast was standard fare for HI Express. But, the room and especially the bathroom is in need of a refresh and deep clean.The previous poster noted a dirty shower surround - my room was the same. This is not acceptable - take the room out of service for a few days and do a deep clean. The wifi was poor and dropped out many times especially in the evening (what i call "rush hour"). It was not useable at that time. I always rate hotels on value and expectation. Some lower level hotels get 5/5 when they deliver value for the price. This hotel misses the mark and management needs to take some actions (and spend some money) to get this property in line with HI newer level of expectations.
This IS a standard Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are clean and the bed was exceptional. It was not particularly quiet (lots of banging of doors and people talking loudly in the halls at night), nor were the appointments quality. The shower was okay, but there was a plastic surround that was filthy. The hotel is overpriced for what it is.
Our Air National Guard unit stayed here while attending a conference, and all of our members seemed very pleased with this hotel. The staff was courteous and gracious, and we especially appreciated that breakfast began at 5:30, even on the weekend, because we had to leave by 5:45. The only snaffu was that my room wasn't ready when we arrived and I had to wait for housekeeping to clean it. But I didn't mind sitting in the lobby and enjoying the complimentary cookies and lemonade while I waited. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
This is your standard Holiday Inn Express-- close to the interstate but not immediately adjacent, insuring that traffic will not keep you awake. The room was clean, and the amenities, including the breakfast fare, what you would expect for a mid-range. I use this chain a lot, because I know that I am going to get what I anticipate every time out.
Clean rooms, very comfy beds! We came to this hotel after a very bad experience at the Baymont at the same exit. They gave us a great price knowing we had to pay for two rooms this night instead of one. We appreciated the care and concern of the staff. We would definitely stay here again!
