Great Service, friendly staff and very close to underground station. The room was very clean and quiet, with plentiful breakfast and English speaking staff. I would recommend this hotel for business and tourism guests alike.
Stayed here for one night as we were visiting the Oktoberfest. Perfectly situated five minutes from the venue. The room was clean, well appointed with comfy beds, a nice big sofa, USB charging points and lots of power sockets. My only criticism would be the road noise which is loud at the front of the hotel.
This hotel is steps away from Goetheplatz- which is very convenient. To top it off, it's gone through a full renovation, and said changes were very smartly planned. Air-con is digitally controlled right in your room - for the summer months this is a huge plus!
Exactly as I said in the title - it's a nice hotel for a short stay. For a longer stay you might definitely miss some things, as there is no fridge at all, no safe, no tea/coffee maker. Nothing except for the basic stuff. Toilet and shower share the same door, which feels weird a bit. Blinds unfortunately are not shut enough during the night, so it's pretty light inside. Also, a small mobile laptop desk was missing in my room, so it was pretty unhandy to use a laptop without it. Other than that the room is clean and pleasant, which is most important. So no complains here.
Had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Herzog! Loved that they had a waterfall shower and USB outlets in the room -- very modern and cool. Very much enjoyed the stay and it was a reasonable walk to the subway and even to the train station in Munich. We easily went from here to do our Rick Steves audio tour.
The hotel is okay, but that's about it. Room were small, but seemed updated and clean. Staff at desk were helpful. They have went for an Italian theme, including the restaurant. The head waiter was an absolute jerk, not allowing me to sit in nearly empty courtyard for a drink without ordering dinner, despite the fact that I was paying for a 3 night stay. Also, the woman behind the bar didn't know what Chardonnay was, and they only had two red wines. The margherita pizza was horrible. I find this odd when the place was being run by actual Italians. Anyway, it was close to the metro and a few blocks away from Paulaner.
Booked on Expedia, upon arrival was told they had not received payment yet had my credit card already on file. Unable to get a refund after being charged twice for the same room, spent 2 hours arguing with reception for refund and still not sure if charge has been refunded. All this while also on the phone with Expedia. AVOID!!!
Small rooms, but big enough for two. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly. We got in late and there was no parking left, had to park on the street in a not so legal parking place. The next night there was room in the garage, but the ramp getting in and out is scary. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Located a short drive from the city center.
The rooms are clean and you can tell they have been updated. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk from the city center. The hallways had worn out carpet and were very dingy. I would look elsewhere for a visit to Munich.
