Very clean and comfortable hotel. Nice restaurant and friendly, helpful staff.

The rooms were recently renovated. Work is still being done, but it didn't disturb us. There is a sliding panel that goes in front of window. It didn't completely block the light and so I didn't sleep my best. The staff was not overly friendly. But overall a clean place to stay

Although the Herzog hotel is located in a modest neightbourhood without much touristic activities, it is efficiently connected to the U-bahn (4 min walk) which takes you to the heart of Münich in a few minutes. Although the hotel facade has a modest appearance, the interior is very modern and new. Rooms are comfortable, with all necessary commodities and extras: a raindance shower, tv, quick internet connection and sufficient closet space. The breakfast buffet costs 9 euro's additional per day, but is worth the investment and the personnel is friendly an warm. I would advice this comfortable hotel, whose rates are reasonable in comparison to the service.

I got in late, and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is very old, but the rooms have been redone, and the bed was actually fairly comfortable. It was older as well, so was much softer than most of the beds I've had in Europe! The elevator is incredibly small, so pack lightly; the bar is nice as well. We didn't stay much, only to sleep, but overall was great. Very centally located to subway, walking, and public transportation.

We booked our hotel because of it's close proximity to Oktoberfest, and we were very pleased! The location is only a few blocks over and extremely easy to get to. The staff were all very nice and helpful, and in restaurant downstairs was also quite tasty. This hotel is definitely a steal compared to some other hotels in the nearby area.

About a 10 minute walk to Oktobersfest activities. The hotel was a bit "self sufficient" meaning i had to carry my own bags and ask for fresh towels daily. The upgrades to the rooms were a good touch as the bathroom was amazing. But, being that my room was just over the restaurant I heard every clang of the pans.

room sevice was very accommodating to clean at any time of the day very conveniant the Italian flair restaurant with beer garden - quite frequented by locals the perfect location, 200yards from the subway and bus - walking distance to downtown and all the sights of the city - i was born in that city!!!! a great value!!

Room was right next to busy street. No one was able to switch my room. Parking was atrocious, if you could get a space at all. Was told I had free breakfast and given a pass, only to find out at check out that I did not have free breakfast. Don't waste your time.

The staff at the hotel was very knowledgeable about the city and how to travel around it. They were also very helpful in finding and reserving excursions that were even more fun.
