Property shows wear and tear. While it is part of Taj Group - it is certainly nowhere close to being like Taj Colaba. Staff are extremely silod and do not seem to be able to provide basic information- stores, restaurants. Most of the time I ended up finding it myself.

For a five star hotel I was a bit disappointed. The facility itself was fine, if a bit outdated. We were in an executive suite. The bed was great! Huge bathtub but no afternoon hot water on any of our three days so there was no enjoying it. Food was generally delicious and the breakfast buffet was abundant. Main issue for me was the cold and unwelcoming staff all three days and at every level. Never got one smile out of the front desk. No staff follow through from the travel desk who, after three attempts to connect for tour info prior to arrival, finally responded that they didn’t offer what i wanted but would try to assist once i was there; they didn’t. Spa staff never answered phone our entire stay so we didn't book. Security didn’t question or check me out on any entry but interestingly managed to thoroughly check my Indian companion on every entry. Not cool!
Everything about the property was fine. However, I had a package mailed to a relative in New Delhi and the hotel completely screwed up the mailing. The package got to New Delhi with contents missing. Instead of taking full responsibility, the duty manager did not resolve the matter at all. I have stayed at the President many times with no problem but now I am thinking of either the Trident or the Taj on my next trip to Mumbai.
Excellent hotel, beyond our expectations. Spa and pool services are great and room are impeccably clean. Manager was amazing and made us feel very comfortable. Very polite and courteous staff.

Simply incredible. We will definetly come back! The view from the room was great. The lady traveled kit totally unexpected but very welcomed. Food was great (I love the fact that they had a goid variaty for non-veg, non-indian guests: meat lovers)

The smallest hotel room I have seen, its so claustrophobic and dingy and the plumbing has issues and the staff looks at you as if they are doing to favor to you. This was my 1st Taj experience and I am quiet sure the last one, I should stick to Marriott atleast I know what I am getting.
I stayed at the hotel for shopping. Most of the key shopping areas are not near by but there are enough near by that you don't have to travel too far for some nice stores. Its very close to some tourist spots so that is a plus.
The hotel and room were very nice, the location is great. Compared to other US or European hotels, this is definitely five stars however, I had better service experiences than Vivanta in India. They could be more personalized and attentive. But again, it is great overall.
I booked for 3 days, it was generally very good stay, the staff was helpful, I just did not like the breakfast because there is no choice for international guests, most Indian dishes.
The stuffs in the hotel were quite helpful. Room looked pretty clean and comfort. However, the water there is not that good. What's more, the wifi was quite slow and limited. Lots of websites and all videos were blocked. The location is too far away from the airport, and not close to my destination, TATA institute.

These were the best accommodations I have had at this price in Colaba. Nice Gym, nice rooms, great breakfast. No complaints.
Close to Marine Drive. Clean and comfortable with Taj hospitality. Excellent, friendly staff. Good for exploring Mumbai, Colaba area. Slightly older room furnishing on 17th floor. Good Barbour view.
