I was a solo corporate traveler. The hotel is situated at the main road which makes it easy to be located. Breakfast was amazing with a huge variety. staff was courteous. Room size was big with all luxurious amenities. I would definitely recommend this property to everyone
Clean and convenient hotel located next to the metro station. The rooms were well insulated for sound. The temperature was easy to control via thermostat. The staff was friendly and the entire hotel was very welcoming. The restaurant had a nice buffet that was both reasonably priced and well-suited for travelers (not spicy, hygienic). This hotel was popular for events - there were often conferences, weddings, and art shows. We stored luggage here while traveling and it was kept safely. Room service was prompt, and housekeeping was friendly. Shuttle service from the airport was available, but we didn't use it since it was more expensive than Uber. We stayed here on three separate occasions during our trip and found the experience consistently pleasant.
The lobby ambiance is good and well arranged, even though the hotel is bit classic. It is maintained in a good condition. Located next to a metro station and it is very easily reachable from Mumbai International Airport. Superb check-in & check-out experience; handled by smiling staff. The room size was just okay; clean and offering you all that you need with a good complimentary Wi-Fi connection - a bit hard uncomfortable bed. Do not expect a view as the metro station is blocking the entire hotel front view. Bathroom is quite small; however, offering excellent full complement of bathroom toiletries. Overall, experience was OK and definitely a good place to stay for short trip or overnight.
I had a terrible experience with this hotel. I stayed in a room in 'B wing' on the 5th floor and found the room to have a horrendous musty stench. I asked for a change of room and got a different room on the 4th floor. However, I couldn't get away from the terrible musty stench that this room also had. The bedsheets were dirty and had an off-white color, sprinkled with little stains. The TV was tiny and unfit for use. Overall, felt ripped off given the inflated rate and the poor hygiene.
The city’s mercury levels are on a rise, and the ambrosial nectar from the king of fruits overflows in every home. Mango has come to become an imperative part of the Indian culture. One can find trees laden with fruit, early on in the year. But as summer comes along, the fruit ripens and is ready to be consumed. To promote the goodness of this beta-carotene rich fruit Kohinoor Continental Hotel at Andheri, Chakala has taken the initiative to curate the special Alphonso Mango festival. The festival will pan on till the end of May 2018. The festival is ideally suited for Kohinoor Continental’s corporate clients. They seem to cherish the lip-smacking fruit and its goodness with gusto after winding up at a long day at work. Team Kohinoor inspires clients to take back memories and come back to make more. I was warmly received me upon my arrival by the team. I was showed around the facility before I sat down to down all the delicious bouts of succulent goodness. Mr. Shantanu Prasad Roy and chef Blaze have gone all out using his creative bend of mind at making this festival an instant hit. He has gone an extra mile at serving the king of fruits in the most imaginative manner inspiring people from all over to come and explore the flavour of this king of fruits. Team Kohinoor has planned a special A-la-carte menu for both the walk-in guests and in-house guests. The dinner buffet is reasonably prised at an impressive 1099 (plus taxes). The facility is complete with a licenced bar. The bartenders have curated an impressive array of mango inclined cocktails and mocktails. There is a premium line of cocktails and mocktails that has been planned for the Executive Barrel Club. Team Kohinoor strongly propagates the use of organic mangoes for the festival. As for the food, I thought it was simply delicious. There was a certain freshness that the spices imparted. On inquiring further I learnt that the hotel ponds their own spices, and no not source the same from outside. I gladly dug into quite a few mango dishes. Some of them include I started with a salad, The Mango Caprese (A fresh mango salad, mixed with greens, mango dressing and nuts.). I could not bet resist the Mango Phirnee (rice pudding cooked with cream and flavoured with fresh mangoes.) was simply divine. The Deconstructed Mango Cheesecake (fresh mango mascarpone cheese, freshly diced mangoes, cookie crust and nuts) melted in my mouth. In between all this, I sipped on a thick Mango Lassi (fresh mango and yoghurt blend). I went all out to try the Mango shake (comprising of fresh mango and whole bodied milk coupled with ice-cream). I revved my energy levels with the delicious Mango Banana Smoothie (prepared using low fat yoghurt and honey, an instant energiser). I finished off with the delicious Mango Sundae (comprising of Alphonso mangoes, vanilla ice cream, mango ice cream, mango caramel sauce, and topped off with nuts.) They had an interesting array of cocktails that included the MEVT Shot (A mango espresso, Vodka, tube shot), Just Young (A red wine Sangria comprising of raw mangoes), and last bust not the least It’s Too Hot (Rum and beer coupled with mango and cherry). For the teetotallers there is an interesting line up of mock tails that include the Mango Float (Mango ice-cream coupled with 7-up, garnished with mint leaf.), The Bella Mano (Mango, jackfruit, and watermelon, garnished with slice of jackfruit), Me and You (Mango, banana, and milk garnished with apple slice) and last but not the least Kill the Summer (Raw mango cooked in Tandoor added with black salt, chilled milk, and garnished with ginger slices). The Restaurant has planned four food festivals in the future. They involve young minds and have college students. Kohinoor continental goes by a zero garbage policy where wastage is minimal.
Hotel is still kept in good condition. Both plus and minus point is the metro station right in front of the hotel which makes in easier to commute but at the same time the entire hotel front view is blocked by the station. The room and bath are quite small. Overall stay was okay.
To start with I would like to mention a big THANKS to team Kohinoor Continental. The Roka ceremony which was hosted at your premises was a very well cherished experience by our guests. All arrangements were perfectly provided as discussed and on some occasions we experienced anticipatory service given by your banquet team. I personally would like to thank your team once again and would be more than happy to host future events in Kohinoor Continental.
It’s a superb place with great ambience and good food. Not very crowded and staff is very courteous. One can expect to have good time here. Their choke and black dal both are good. Though it has buffet and have seen people opting for it. I have always opted here for ala cart and enjoy it
I had a small meeting arranged on 1st April 2018 for 15 people. I was really amazed right from arrival when I had a look at the setup which was perfect. There was an attendant at all the times to take care of our needs. Our audio visual requirements were very well taken care off by the onsite technician. We were escorted to the restaurant for our lunch. They have abundant choices at the buffet. The service provided was really anticipatory. I would like to conduct future meetings with Kohinoor Continental and continue this relationship further. 👍
Solitaire restaurant at Hotel Kohinoor Continental is a place to be with your family. We went for a casual evening with a very relaxed mood today enjoy the buffet. But the place amazed us with delightful experiences. A warm welcome by the hostess was just the welcome that we required. Right from seating at the table till departure we were constantly overwhelmed by the attention and the service provided by the staff. The buffet choices are widespread, you would definitely be not able to taste all of them. We also went for the jumbo prawns and the jumbo pomfret which was humungous. The courtesouness of the staff made our evening. To take the names i would say Rupesh and Mukesh were on top of everything to make things readily available for our table. Now this place would be our regular hangout place thats for sure. Thank you guys you made our evening memorable. Keep up the good work.
