Peace of Heaven Casita on 200 acres

Our casita was finished in March of 2021. It rests on @200 acres with an amazing view of the Monzano Mountains! Just 75 minutes southeast of Albuquerque, it offers easy access to the impressive Salinas Mission Ruins, the Cibola National Forest, and the quaint town of Mountainair. WE continue to upgrade the property by adding amenities such as genuine cowhide rugs and a small herb garden. The brilliant blue skies, fragrant air, and stunning 360-degree views clearly showcase the best of New Mexico. If you would like to be in a stress-free amazingly beautiful environment, this is the place to be!
The cottage is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker. Limited housekeeping is available.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the Casita! Very clean very comfortable and very affordable for myself and my mom and sister that stayed for two nights. I truly didn’t want my vacation to end. Beautiful view from the house overlooking their property. Enjoyed seeing the cows roaming early in the morning. If I’m ever back in the area, I will most definitely stay at the Casita. Charles and Deborah were very responsive and very kind. They also have fresh eggs available about their house, and also they cooked and left some really good cake. Thank you so much again.

Wow! Our short stay was what the entrance gate reads a ‘Piece of Heaven’.My brother & I came down to Mountainair for a family reunion. Unfortunately, our stay was short, but what a beautiful experience at the Casita.Deborah, the owner met us at the gate & took us up to the Casita & gave us a warm welcome! She was so gracious!The Casita was very clean & had everything you needed except your own food! We did get to see one of the milking cows on our way out one morning & fed Rio one of the horses an apple. There are trains that run to the south of the property, but my brother and I didn’t feel that was bothersome. It is a sweet Casita tucked away on the hillside & we would recommend the experience to anyone. We hope to return in a couple of years & hope to stay there again. Thank you Deborah & Charles for a lovely experience.God Bless

We had an enjoyable stay at the casita, Deborah was the best hostess, the casita had everything you could ask for. We felt safe and enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the back porch watching the horses, cows and the property donkey.

Remote Gaming Getaway

The large dining room table with views out across the rolling landscape was a great place for playing boardgames. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, so we were able to cook-in with great ingredients from the surprisingly well-stocked natural grocer just a couple miles up the road. Accommodations were comfortable - the couch is a better choice than the trundle bed, in my opinion.

A wonderful place to get away from it all. Deborah and Charles were very responsive to all our needs. The only difficulty was consistent internet. The vistas are beautiful and furnishings are clean and comfortable. Well appointed kitchen. Wonderful to have such a place so close to Albuquerque that feels very far away from the hustle and bustle.

Wonderful casita close to town

The casita is very close to town and the 3 missions. There are trains that go past but they weren’t an issue at all and I am a light sleeper The kitchen is fully stocked. The living room was very comfortable, actually the entire casita is very comfortable. The beds were comfortable as well.

Almost perfect

This is a lovely property. The owners take great care in seeing to their guest's comfort. Everything you might need for a pleasant stay is here. Just be aware that there are trains that pass through the property, and while they don't blow their horns, there is a rumbling sound. The night we spent there, trains rumbled through about every 20 minutes... all night long. Sorry to say, but my husband is very sensitive to loud or frequent noises, especially at night, and I missed the mention of the train in the host's overview of the property. If this is not a problem for you, this is an awesome place to stay.

AWESOME PROPERTY

I rarely review properties but this one was absolutely perfect. The two bedroom house was absolutely spotless and everything worked perfectly. Check in was simple. The landlord sent me texts in the evening reminding me to let her know if we needed anything but she was not in the least intrusive. The location was stunning- the scenery was unbelievable and hiking the property was easy- simply walk out the front door. The property is pretty isolated and our only neighbors were cows, lizards and other animals. Cell phones worked adequately at the property but not at the gate in front of the property (perhaps because the property is at a significantly higher elevation. Kitchen was decently stocked with kitchenware, etc. Internet worked with no issues the entire time we were there but it is pretty slow. I plan to return when I have more time but for this stay I have nothing but good things to say about the property and the host.

Wonderful New Mexico Retreat

Excellent hosts, clean and comfortable home, and interesting location. The sunsets viewed from the back patio were stunning. The kitchen was well laid out and had all the tools necessary to prepare nice meals. We BBQed several times, including a wonderful steak from the ranch. Strongly recommend.

This Casita is a peace of heaven! Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The casita is perfect, the land is secluded and has amazing sunsets and sunrises. The horses and cows were like visual therapy, and even the train passing by was a true western experience. Absolutely love this casita.

amazing sunsets

I was looking for a quiet place to relax and clear my head for a few days. This was the place for me. Everything was perfect, until I the sun began to set, one word - amazing. I would sit out on the patio and just watch these wonderfully amazing sunsets.

Great stay

Place is very clean and comfortable, and the view is fantastic. Surrounding scenery is fabulous and the place has everything you would need. One small downside is the slow and erratic WIFI, though phone service was just fine. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.
