This was the worst Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed encountered. The room was not clean to begin with. The carpet was dirty and very stained. Furniture was stained. Mold was on the air conditioner and curtains. Dead crickets around the baseboard and deadbolt did not work. The only electrical outlet that worked was the one on the wall by the door. The others were worn out. The staff was nice and breakfast was good. The property needs help badly. Had planned on staying here two nights but left after one.
carpets looked old and as if they hadn't been cleaned since Adam--and Eve one room we checked into had not been cleaned and there were smells breakfast was ok---not great but hot food and decent tasting
I was in town for business. My usual place was book so I figured it could not be that bad it’s a Holiday Inn. My carpet in my room needed to be shampooed. Dirty spots everywhere. No AC in the hallways. Room keys did not work had to have night crew come up & reprogram my door. One place I look forward to waking up and leaving. If the place next door is book I recommend driving to West Plains, it’s new.
Just checked in and switched rooms already once. I am not really picky but this hotel is disgusting. Extremely disappointed for money being spent. This is Knights Inn quality. I wish I could rate it a zero. At least the service was kind
We booked this room for three nights. We walked in the room and I walked to the window to open the curtains, oh my goodness. There was mold on the sheers and one of the sheers was torn.Spots on the carpet. This was very unacceptable. This place came well recommend. Went to front desk and told them the problem. The night shift person said they didnt have another room. But did not offer to try to help us find another hotel. We had just drove for 10 hours straight, in town for family gathering. The only good thing was that the gentleman said his manager would make sure we were not charged. We went to a hotel across the street and got a room and stayed for 5 nights. My husband is a travel agent and would think twice about recommending this hotel to any of his clients.
We had such a good stay here. I would recommend it for anyone. Rooms clean, staff friendly. Restaurants close by. Beds were very comfortable. Very easy to find as it is just off the main highway. Just wish we could’ve stayed longer. The breakfast is really nice also.
We stayed here because the quality is usually good. Not here. We had to switch rooms because the heater was louder than a garbage truck and the refrigerator was even louder. The new room we were switched too had these pretty curtains for us to smell and look at. IHG isn’t doing near the job it usually does.
We stopped in Mt Home on our way home from st Louis. It was midnight and I asked about availability. I was told the rate was $119. I asked if there was a king room available and was told there was 1 room left and that it was a handicap room. The rate for this room was $134. My husband is over 6'5" and we really need a king size bed. We took it. When we got to the room it was a double queen. We were so tired we just stayed in it and thought we could get our rate adjusted when we checked it the next morning. No problem, right? Wrong! We explained to the very nice girl at the front desk what happened and indeed there was 1 room with a king bed left but it was 1 number off from the room number we were given. The girl phoned the manager and he refused to discount our rate because we signed the rate sheet checking in. (Thinking we were getting a king bed). What a pitiful excuse. The staff was friendly but the hotel is old and outdated from the carpet to the furniture. It smells like mildew and the mattresses sat directly on the floor -no box springs. There aren't a lot hotel choices in Mt Home but I would bypass this place.
We stayed in one of their average room on the 3rd floor. However, we recommend the suite which is a little larger. The beds were fine, a little soft in the middle but OK. The room was clean which was verified by our blue light flashlight. You can pick one up at Amazon for under 6 dollars.
There just are not a lot of choices so we went with a popular name. The staff was very friendly but the room was a bit worn and could certainly have been cleaner. Breakfast was nothing to talk about but about what we expected. Just not a good selection in this area so this is probably the best you could do anyways.
