The room was in great condition, clean, overlooking the gulf and across from Mount Vesuvius. The bathtub was heavenly, staff was friendly and spoke English well enough for us to converse. We booked here for the views and the idea that we would easily be able to get to the train station in Castellammare di Stabia via the offered shuttle. Here are the cons. The listings indicate that there is a shuttle to the train station during scheduled times and at request but apparently that is closed during the offseason so we paid about $40/day for a taxi to take us 2 miles each way. The breakfast buffet with the same thing each day. Communication with the hotel prior to our arrival was difficult, emails going unanswered and then not including requested information. Booking through Expedia doesn't allow you to log in to the hotel booking directly to add anything on to your reservation and doing so separately didn't result in getting what was requested. We visited in February, knowing that it is the off season and some things would not be available to us, however, many things were not mentioned that would be closed during this time. The outdoor pool was closed, and that was well advertised, but you would think it would be covered or at least not green and slimy looking. The excursions they can assist with don't exist in winter either. With a nearly empty resort and many amenities unavailable at this time, you would think they would have upgraded our room or something.

The room is quite outdated in interior. The location is far out so a car is needed. Except one restaurant, really nice places are all a drive away. The view however is stunning and the room was clean.

Lovely property in a great location. Last timeI stayed was about 5 years ago, and it seemed a bit worn. Better overall condition this time, though some of the original (and unique) decor (like the nautical themed sail canopies over the beds) has been removed. My friends loved the location on the water.

Absolutely gorgeous property with a beautiful view. The pool is not heated and nothing is really walkable from the hotel, but it’s quite a gem! They had parking on site which was wonderful. The spa was lovely as well. Very friendly staff and delicious food, especially at Blue Stone, next door to the property.

The hotel was pretty distant from the movie Coast, Sorrento, Capri Island. Cabs cost over €100 to get to and from our tours.

Noticeable difference when different pool attendants (poolside covered in seagull dropping overnight and not washed down prior to re-opening in the morning) and room service personnel took over on Monday - noticeably not so attentive. Our original service person came back today, thankfully.

Luxury hotel with both private beach and large pool, both with very good supply of shaded sunbeds. Stunning views across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius, from balcony, bar, pool, beach and restaurant. Excellent dining and spa facilities. Hotel is isolated but has a regular shuttle to nearby Vico Equense.
