Quality of food at breakfast was fine by international standards, but far below what to expect in Italy. In seven days no variety at all, always the same average quality food, extras on menu (fresh squeezed orange juice for example) very expensive. Fruit out of a fridge instead of fresh daily, fruit juices heavily watered down and sugary. The desserts were good.

This hotel is beautiful and luxurious, however what made the stay so enjoyable is the quality of the staff. They were all very helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. Great base for exploring Pompeii, Naples city and also Sorrento/Amalfi but you also have the peace of being outside the busy centre of Naples. 9.5/10.

Hotel Medusa is a beautiful property with lush grounds full of greenery and vegetation, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast is unforgettable, with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius volcano. While the hotel shows some signs of age, the friendly staff works really hard to deliver an outstanding experience, and their excellent service more than compensates. A truly memorable stay!

Luxury hotel in tranquil surroundings

Amazing hotel in a tranquil environment. One of the best hotels we stayed in with such a clean facilities, very well maintained gardens and amazing rooftop breakfast. The staff from shuttle driver to reception to cleaning ladies to pool guy, I can't thank everyone enough. The hotel shuttle (small fee) makes it so much easier to travel in different directions and we knew it beforehand but this hotel give you so much additional luxury compared to silly prices of hotels in Sorrento and you can get to Sorrento area within 20-25 minutes. If you are looking for a city centre facilities hotel then definitely this is not for you. We booked it to get a peaceful luxury holidays and it ticked every single box. If you don't mind using shuttle etc then without hesitation go ahead and book your stay. We will definitely stay again next time in the area.

We stayed 9th to 19th August 2025 From the minute we walked in to the time we left, the service was the absolute best! We cannot say enough good things about the staff! They went above and beyond to make us feel special! Special thanks to Gennaro who acknowledged our anniversary both at breakfast and at dinner. He is very attentive and always ensured we had everything we needed. His team did the same and the front desk team was always willing to assist. They were very accommodating They even had breakfast for us to take with us on the morning we were leaving, as the kitchen would be closed at 6am! The property was absolutely stunning. So many areas to walk around and lots of seating and lush greenery everywhere! La Medusa is a definite must! It’s located close to Sorrento, Pompei, with easy access to go to the Amalfi Coast, Positano and Capri! We will not hesitate to recommend this first class hotel and would love to stay again! Best hotel. Best staff ❤️

The property was Beautiful our room was perfect for us. my only issue was the controlling nature of the staff in wanting to hold our car keys and regularly asking where we are going if we move from the sun lounger. The pool also closed at 7 which was too early for me.

Beautiful rooms, hotel and landscape. Staff were very nice and helpful. Shuttle was offered to train station and near marina for ferry or to visit Castellemare di Stabia along ocean when requested. They also helped us with taxi to places further away or during non shuttle times. Had a great restaurant and accommodated our teens at dinner with lunch menu items. Would definitely stay here again!

This is an outstanding hotel nestled in the hills with outstanding views. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and cannot do enough to help you. We stayed for 5 nights and genuinely did not want to leave. We were made to feel at home at all times and the rooms were very nice and very comfortable. All this said, with such a beautiful property it was the staff throughout that made our stay so memorable and enjoyable. I do hope that the owners appreciate what a great team they have. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds in the evening. Only issue was the mattress uneven with two beds pushed together to form a king, otherwise wonderful stay. Would stay again.
